Ri30 L2 D6 done. I can nearly do the 'stork pose' for the full time now, which I couldn't the previous time I tried.

Liking the stomach vacuum - seems like it's one of those things you can do a few anytime ... like those pelvic floor exercises and I can't see any way to hurt yourself with it unlike some other moves - so Thanks!

Am googling 'stomach vacuum'. Bit disturbed by some of the pictures!

Have just seen supposedly upset friend who, as suspected, is not at all upset. Other 'friend' is stirring. Why do people do this? These two people would not know each other if it wasn't for me. I helped set up an arrangement between them; one had empty stables and fields and the other needed to find somewhere to keep 5 horses. The one who owns the horses is a friend who teaches my daughter to ride, the one with the stables is a friend who has a daughter the same age as mine

Friend who owns the horses said my daughter could take one of her ponies out for a ride whenever she liked. About 10 days ago my daughter wanted to ride the pony so I phoned friend who owns him to check this was ok; she was out but her mum reassured me it was fine. Phoned the friend who owns the land to check it was ok for us to come round and to see if her daughter wanted to join in but they were out. So we went round and my daughter rode for about 20 mins.

Friend who owns the land said the one who owns the pony was really annoyed that we'd taken him out. I was absolutely baffled! Land owning friend said she had not heard the other friend say my daughter could ride him whenever we liked (it was said in front of her and she'd said, "No!!!" at the time). She also told me she did not want me to go to her land without checking with her first - this bit I am happy to take on board.

Anyway, friend who owns the pony says the other woman's daughter is trying to claim ownership of the pony and that's why she doesn't want us around. My daughter's quite a good rider as she has been riding quite a difficult pony for 2 years now. Her daughter has had 3 years of lessons on and off at various riding schools but is still on the lead rein because she's quite nervous.

Pony owning friend wants my daughter to exercise her pony as she needs a young, experienced rider to put him through his paces. She's very happy for the other girl to learn on him too.

I feel so upset about all of this. I've always had a good arrangement with the friend who owns the ponies. We can't afford to do riding without arrangements like this. Other 'friend' had all the land and stables and wanted to get a pony but had no experience of looking after them. She's always been envious of the arrangement I had. I thought this set up would be ideal and our daughters would enjoy riding together but she just wants to freeze us out.

Anyway, this is not Jillian Michaels related so I shouldn't be posting this here. Only tenuous link it has to JM is that the misery of all of this means I haven't yet fitted in a session today. Need to stop dwelling on it and get on with it. Sad

Did level 3 day 3. Seeing a big difference in my legs, but not much on my stomach Sad Feeling better about doing this again in the mornings.

Thanks Crazyhours & spinningirl10 Grin I was brought up on a farm in Australia, so mud/shocks water etc. don't worry me...I just need to get as fit as I possibly can!

One thing I've noticed with level 1, is that some moves are actually fairly easy for me on the hardest level (which is very surprising!...most of the legs and abs stuff), & some are bloody hard! (mostly upper body stuff)
Right now I despair at being able to do a full set of 'real' pushups...though I'm determined to get it even if it takes me 6 months Smile

D7 L1 30DS done. Yay me. I am on a roll, rather than merely having a bacon roll for a change. Did some stomach vacuums in a mirror. Strangely amusing to see my bagel belly trying desperately to locate its transverse abs. Funny though, one of the 3 reps I did just cinched in a lot further than the other two. So they do exist, I just have to coax them forth...
Lindt70percent - I hope your friendship troubles calm down. I have certainly been in similar situations and it is so damned hard to turn the mind away from it.
I bet JM don't put up wid dat shit tho. She'd smack it right down and get back on her mat. Grin

Got rudely awoken at 05:30 by DH's breathing so took the opportunity to try out 30DS L3D1 - found it much better than L2. Like you are finding L1 Degust, in each level I have found some moves much easier than others. I can't do more than one or two proper push-ups so have always done the girly ones, think a few people on here are the same.
In L3 today I found the superman things to be no probs at all, whereas the scissor things kill me ! I worry that I'm not doing some exercises properly (lazy technique?).

Lindt hope you get your problem sorted soon. I don't know why people meddle like that, as you say possibly jealousy, or maybe boredom, who knows. It's an extra stress no one needs Flowers

Been doing a few stomach vacuums every day. Really feel it burning when I do it properly and pressure on my weak pelvic floor but no sore muscles afterwards. Has anyone found any more information on whether this really works and how often you'd need to do it?

Ri30 L2D7 - did the 'stork' for full time on each leg!

Using larger weights for some of the moves - no 1.5 kg at all, and quite a lot of 10 pounders.

I haven't tried L2 of 6w6p after 1st aborted attempt! I got a delivery of NMTZ today but won't have a chance to do it today and going out tonight but I've walked several miles with a friend today and am already feeling very stiff after yesterday's exerciseathon!

Lindt, I hope you can resolve the issues with your friends.
I haven't done 6w6p but if its not any better tomorrow I would so something else or you will lose motivation and if you're not enjoying it you won't do it.

On NMTZ does each circuit relate to a different body part say circuit 1=arms or is each circuit a mixture?

Ro30 L2D2, I quite like this level I am surprised to say.
I am way better at plank exercises now than in the shred although my squat thrusts are useless, my back just doesn't bend. Might need to try a beginners yoga or pilates to help my terrible inflexibility.

DP has started doing insanity so I am feeling a bit laid back with what I am doing in comparison, my word it is hardcore.
I think I might try it in the summer once I have finished uni and got a bit more Jillian under my belt.

Ooo how is NMTZ *spinning? I am not sure what I will be doing after these two although it is a way off. It is just strength?

Hello fellow shredders. L1D5 just completed, when is it supposed to get easier?!

Is anyone else really suffering with their calf muscles? Mine have all but seized up, couldn't even attempt the jump rope today. I've been stretching as often as I can during the day but the minute I attempt the jump rope they 'freeze' again. My right one in particular feels on the verge of a cramp :(
