It’s got to be Brentry or Breturn.

Given proximity to France, maybe 'Brie-turn'?
I'll get my coat.

Twoshoesnewshoes · 30/09/2026 22:18

I'm sure you are more eloquent than me, but I am a European citizen. I like being part of something bigger. I like freedom and opportunity and peace. The eu represents that to me.

Exactly. To be fair to those who voted to leave (because mud slinging and recriminations will get us nowhere) it was a different world in 2016. Being in a united European Economy will serve us better in this fractured world.

Whatever we call it, please, please, please make it happen!

I feel like sobbing with anticipatory relief at the thought that this colossal fuck-up could finally be put right.

Brie-turn wins!
multiple play on words there.

It’s not going to happen though and is not the answer to our problems.

It is not the answer to all of our problems, but it's a bloody good start to fixing a lot of them.

CrispyK · Yesterday 00:00

Surely it can’t be ‘a start’ when even if it does happen it won’t be for years. It’ll be used as an excuse for everything.
we can’t just go back on the same terms we had before either. We’d need to commit to adopting the euro at some point for one thing and I can’t see that being agreed.
perhaps this is a discussion for elsewhere though!

HollyIvie · Yesterday 00:26

They’d never let us back in as before… that ship has sailed - you’d have to say bye to the £££££££

Christ0nABike · Yesterday 00:30

We should just change our name to Eunited Kingdom

Bre-re-entry?

B-rear-entry?

Meandthegherkin · Yesterday 01:06

If the ADF come to power in Germany and the National Rally in France, I’m not sure I’d be all that keen. Does that really appeal to most of MN?

IMHO You call it. “Dream on…”
UK was shafted getting in, then out of the EU
No-one in Europe gives a damn about the UK, . There will be no deal, & if there was to be one , You will be shafted again
.
(Says me, a UK Citizen, living in EU zone)
