The 'smooth' exit from transition now leads to a million and one little things that you can't get hold of or took completely for granted.

Why is sainsbury in NI selling spa milk? Why can't you get hold of your favourite food stuff?

Its a slow strangulation of the country.

In which you get to learn all about the merits of the EU and what a donkey Johnson really is.

There's only one way to overcome the realities of the deal and that is for closer alignment. Bit by bit we will quietly creep closer and closer to their rules and regulations. Reality bites.

France not accepting lateral flow tests from Non EU countries, unclear as to whether this is to affect lorry drivers at the moment,

Welsh Shellfish trader who boasted that taking a £40000 hit for Brexit no deal planning was worth it for the sake of her grandchildren, bemoans the loss of £50000 worth of stock held up by Brexit red tape.
Irony alert.

Could be worse - could be GRAYLING in charge, that'd be one way to just TURBOT charge the whole mess.

Thought the world would be her oyster - but now she mussel her house to pay the bills, and rather than talking to the BBC, she probably ought to clam up.

DGRossetti · 15/01/2021 12:11

Maybe the Welsh lady could rock up to some Welsh-Italians (yes, they are a thing) and learn about the ice cream trade ?

They thought that Brexit would be their oyster........

TheElementsOfMedical · 15/01/2021 12:16

Does she know the UKIP eel guy from Gloucester? Maybe they should hook up

Peregrina · 15/01/2021 12:17

We are having a whale of a time with these, aren't we? (Yes, I know that whales are mammals and not fish, but they swim in the sea, don't they.)

Yes Donald. That's right.

Insurers forced to payout to people who insured against business disruption.

She should be like the Devon farmer who can't export fresh sausage meat but can export frozen so he's going to try to turn that into a premium product.

So she should get her stuff frozen and then export it - surely there must be a growth opportunity for a fish processing plant near her?

Shrillharridan · 15/01/2021 12:25

These brexshitters are getting quite crabby

Did you bring whales in on porpoise?
WorriedMutha · 15/01/2021 12:32

I will be sorely disappointed if Red doesn't regale us with a fishy opening to the next Westminstenders thread (which will be very soon indeed at the rate this thread is filling up with fishy one liners).
Surely we should be herring from the Kippers by now or are they basking in the dory of our brill new plaice in the world.

Peregrina · 15/01/2021 12:41

Talking of Kippers though, Farage has been very quiet lately, hasn't he?

ListeningQuietly · 15/01/2021 12:46

Brexit has indeed jumped the Shark

but yes, I am VERY VERY pleased about the COVID business interruption insurance ruling
except
that no insurer will offer it on new policies Sad

Shrillharridan · 15/01/2021 12:49

Pleased about the small business insurance ruling.

DGRossetti · 15/01/2021 13:10

I was vague musing on the power of ridicule and embarrassment. Emotions so powerful they can cause people to watch and participate in all manners of atrocities for fear of being singled out.

Because that is the emotion that will be stirring in the duped Brexit cheerleaders right now. As thread after thread on Twitter and elsewhere is demonstrating.

Let's hope that can be directed to where it is deserved and where it can do most good.

Oh, and do fuck off with "pull together". And "be kind".
