Actually, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually found that strange interview reassuring about the NHS. 
could be total bollocks of course, but it’s good to hear it dismissed as an issue by the horses mouth. (Scabby horse yes, but the horse nevertheless ).
We live in a post MAGA world now, and the reality is, we have to deal with him, EU or not, and he won’t be president for ever. We have repeatedly been told the NHS isn’t in fact on the table from all the relevant sources, and well, short of it being carved into a stone tablet, (hang on, that sounds familiar 
) I’m happy enough with that for now.
Of course we have to do trade deals with trump, naturally there will be the usual you scratch my back and all that and the associated wrangling, but aside from the hysteria over ‘chlorinated chickens’ I’m personally not that bothered.
But then I believe in free market capitalism, with a liberal sprinkling of socially responsible policies. I know that probably makes me an MN hate figure, but there you have it.
Just for clarity. I still think Donald and Nige are humungous knobs! They are however, politically relevant, whether we like it or not.
