Apparently the usual landlady over ordered on Bar nuts on the last thread. Just step over them if you find them here, as we haven’t had a chance to clear them up yet.

Welcome to all friendly parties!

Bridgen-Bercow showdown in the HOC!!!
Really enjoyed that Grin. Hilarious when Bercow went off on a typical long rant. Then Bridgen delivered his perfectly timed punch line and the MP sitting next to him laughed so much he nearly fell off his seat.
I wonder if he set it up deliberately??

Wimbledonna · 31/10/2019 15:41

John Bercow has been protecting his fellow bully Vaz for years. Didn't he use parliamentary privilege to block Newsnight's freedom of information query on Vaz years ago?
Bercow deserved everything he got from Bridgen there and I think he actually looked shame faced Shock. He must know it will all come out now and, as Bridgen said, the public will draw their own conclusions.

Epicwaffle · 31/10/2019 15:42

It was brilliant. What a fitting tribute.

Is this collective ‘national day of mourning’ in the HOC for Bercow ever going to end? Hmm

Although I still think Brexit is a completely useless, harmful waste of time, and would prefer to remain - wish it had never been started etc - and would grudgingly accept a decent-ish deal I had to say that this thread title really did make me laugh out loud!! Wine for me please LL if you don't mind, and whatever the others are having unless they are manic brexiteers in which case they can buy their own...

TheSultanofPingu · 31/10/2019 17:48

Any thoughts on Donald Trump calling the Nigel Farage show on LBC?
Johnson/Farage good, Corbyn bad.
Makes you wonder why he would do that.

Epicwaffle · 31/10/2019 17:54

I don’t mind at all @yolofish!

Welcome to our (non manic) bar!

I hope, that whilst we all come from differing viewpoints on brexit here, you will find warm company, good banter and many many drinks here!

We are obviously more brexitty here than the other threads for sure, but in general I like to think we are pretty balanced, pragmatic and willing to take the piss out of ourselves when necessary!

Anyway, get yourself settled by the roaring fire (Boris left it on when he was drying off). First one is on the house. Wine

Any thoughts on Donald Trump calling the Nigel Farage show on LBC?

Was it really him?

Epicwaffle · 31/10/2019 17:57

“Any thoughts on Donald Trump calling the Nigel Farage show on LBC?”

Did he? How Bonkers! How did I miss that craziness? (Probably because I don’t listen to nige tbf... 😬)

Did he say what ‘Beautiful Brexit’ we would have? 😂 Is it gonna be ‘yuuuge’?

TheSultanofPingu · 31/10/2019 18:33

My Grin disappeared

Walkingdeadfangirl · 31/10/2019 18:36

Good evening all. I see several hooligans have attacked the pub again, flashing their goady bits. When did some people become so nasty Sad

But a glass of bubbly for me, its biased Bercows last day at work. Three cheers, maybe its the start of parliament getting back to functioning properly.

I got my Libdem propaganda booklet shoved in my letterbox this morning (weirdly in all 8 glossy colour pages their isn't a single article or headline about Brexit, revoking or a referendum) Confused. Breaking news, apparently Jo Swinson is Britain's next Prime Minister. Who would have thunk it?

I also saw a news flash that Boris visited a ditch at 4am today, to think about if it was worth dying in. Unfortunately when he got there it was occupied by Corbyn who shouted "fuck off, go dig your own ditch to die in".

Boris has done more than anyone to get Brexit done. Yes I am disappointed but it is remainer MPs I blame. Boris will have my support for another 3 months.

And lastly even more reports that Farage is going to give Boris a clean run in a majority of seats, he is not going to do anything to risk a Corbyn government. 👍👍👍

TheSultanofPingu · 31/10/2019 18:37

Joking aside, and I admit I'm looking at it as a remainer, it does seem really strange that he would do that.
Well, unless he has a vested interest in Brexit that is.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 31/10/2019 18:44

Poll of polls at campaign start has 76 seat majority for Conservatives

Prediction based on opinion polls from 01 Oct 2019 to 25 Oct 2019, sampling 11,304 people.

He rings up his fave show in the US all the time - Fox and Friends.
I wonder why Trump would want Brexit- it's almost as if he wants us weakened and desperate for any old trade deal. Surely not?GrinGrinGrin
