I thought we might appreciate a separate thread for organising meet ups and info :)

I am short of time at the moment, so support in gathering info and linking people together is very much appreciated.

It looks like Parliament (according to a Laura K tweet) will be having a special meeting on that day, even though it's a Saturday, so all the more reason to come along and let them know that we reject the situation and that we especially reject a No Deal Brexit.

Thank you for starting this OYBBK. We went along to the last march in large part because of the information and encouragement which you provided. It was such a wonderful, inspiring and uplifting experience that i think we're going to go again. I'm going to dress DD (3.5) in blue and gold for the occasion (if she'll let me!)

We'll be getting the train into waterloo which is what we did last time. The trains both ways were packed with protesters and had a lovely convivial atmosphere. The whole day was very family friendly.

I'm slightly concerned that this time people will be angrier and the whole thing is obviously more urgent, so I think we'll aim to get there early and then not hang around in Parliament square at the end. Dd found the crowds there very overwhelming last time anyway.

I am conflicted, so would value your thoughts.

This is about having a PV.

I am a very committed Remainer, but I just fear that a PV, as a result of these 3 years of toxicity, lies, mis-truths; open bigotry... basically the revealing of a nasty underbelly in the UK- might result in a bigger 'Fuck You' Leave vote, given that we now have the cold, hard evidence that some Leavers just don't care about the fallout. Not 'don't believe' the projections- but actively recognise family members and friends will lose jobs, people will go without medicine, that that's a price worth paying.

Can we risk that?

I would prefer a GE because most of the 'never arsed before/ not arsed again' brigade will find manifestoes, yada yada too tedious and boring and won't pollute the result. Possibly. Unless it's single issue like TB'P'.

However, the parties championing Remain aren't united; Christ knows where Labour are in this (but offer a PV...🧐).

And Conservatives might just win.

So, what do you think, PV or GE, but should I march anyway under a pro-EU (figurative) banner?

Apart from the ones carried by the organisers you'll find most of the individual placards are not really about having another referendum. The vibe is more "bollocks to Brexit" than "the last referendum was such fun we should do it all again".

But if you don't want to join the PV march (and that's your prorogative) then consider going to the Rally For Our Rights this Sat. It's a rally not a march and it is about the rights people are losing, especially the 4 million + migrants (both EU and U.K.) who are on the front line.
