That's all really.

Was still naively hoping the prospect of losing the under 25s vote may pull him back, but he's clearly far to far gone for that.

Have been a lifelong Labour voter and we have a fantastic Labour MP here. Still, I cannot see me ever voting for them again.

OP posts:
soggysaladdays · 06/02/2019 23:46

I agree, I tend to be a floating voter but generally I would prefer to vote labour as they usually have some policies that I agree with but I will never, ever vote to put Corbyn in power. He has lost the young vote now.

Mycathatesme · 06/02/2019 23:52

Oh God, I would so like to be able to like JC, but, just really? First the Gender Recognition Act and now this soft brexit shit..

Mrskeats · 06/02/2019 23:53

He’s worse than the Tories. At least they are honest about not giving a shit.

BjorkShush · 06/02/2019 23:56

Nice pension, nice savings, got his utopia hard left takeover and Brexit, pro women and Jewish members pushed out, the remains of his cult, time on his allotment, memoirs, campaigning and occasional after dinner talks, Corbyn is going to be just fine.

BjorkShush · 06/02/2019 23:57

I agree with you BTW OP.

Agreed but what you gonna do? There isnt a party worth voting for and the Tories have screwed the country royally.

I hate his Brexit stance. Hes got some nerve maintaining his own leaver line when the party is more on the side of remain. Its not like hes even doing it to appease leave voting labour boters, he just genuinely doesn't want us to be in the EU.

I cant see him ever getting into power. If it were him or an insane tory (Bojo, JRM etc) then id prefer Jezza but moderate Tory would be better than him. Even the execrable May is better than him. Wow.

BertrandRussell · 07/02/2019 00:10

I find him very useful. When the young people I know try to blame my generation for Brexit, I just silently point at Corbyn and they slink away with their tails between their legs.

Vicky1990 · 07/02/2019 00:26

I think that as Corbyn considers the way the socialist system in Venezuela is an example of how a country should be run he should emigrate there.

Jsmith99 · 07/02/2019 00:27

I’m an ex Labour member and activist. The memories of the night we finally won in 1997 will stay with me for life.

I am so appalled by Corbyn’s behaviour that I will never vote Labour again while he is leader. He has betrayed every progressive principle his party ever held by enabling Brexit at every turn. I knew, of course, that he is a lifelong Eurosceptic but I never imagined he would go as far as actually instructing his MPs to vote for Article 50.

He is a disgrace to our party.

Gwenhwyfar · 07/02/2019 00:29

What I don't understand is why Labour members don't rise up and get rid of him? Now must be as good a time as ever.

bellinisurge · 07/02/2019 06:07

I hope he is dumped and the grown ups take back control of Labour. People leaving Labour to form a new party has a sorry history

KarinandtheSeaUrchins · 07/02/2019 06:13

Hear hear. He was such a bright moment, a real sign of hope when he became leader. But the way he's pushed his personal agenda at the expense of the party's wishes and the good of the country in this ludicrous farce that is brexit is just shameful.

LucheroTena · 07/02/2019 06:23

How do we get rid of him? He seems immovable.

bellinisurge · 07/02/2019 06:47

I fear that the knobs that have taken over the Labour Party will get tired of magic grandad and want someone newer and nastier (John Macdonald?).

Rhubarbisevil · 07/02/2019 06:59

I think that JC is hoping that we crash out with No Deal, there is social unrest in the streets, he topples the stories in a General Election and becomes a socialist dictator who goes to the Kremlin for his holidays.

keiratwiceknightly · 07/02/2019 07:06

I don't think I will ever be able to forgive the Labour Party (lifelong labour voter) for their utter lack of direction and opposition during Brexit. All "led" (quotation marks as he doesn't seem to do v much leading tbh) by Corbyn.

bellinisurge · 07/02/2019 07:21

Sadly Rhubarbisevil , I don't think you are too far off it there. Not sure about the Kremlin although they would probably see it as a happy consequence .

LonelyandTiredandLow · 07/02/2019 07:27

As soon as he showed no opposition to this clusterfuck I knew he would loose all of the support. His "campaign" for remain was almost as ineffectual as Cameron's, particularly considering anyone who had access to Google could see he was a Eurosceptic. Him and Tories are on a par, as at least I can vaguely understand that he wanted this all along which is why he didn't put up any fight. Tories have been devious and at times gleeful in all of this, even though it alienates their core - business. Neck and neck i'd say.

Fazackerley · 07/02/2019 07:30

Nice pension, nice savings, got his utopia hard left takeover and Brexit, pro women and Jewish members pushed out, the remains of his cult, time on his allotment, memoirs, campaigning and occasional after dinner talks, Corbyn is going to be just fine

This.

Neolara · 07/02/2019 07:31

Is Corbyn still around? He hasn't actually said anything publicaly for so long I though he'd maybe retired to his allotment or gone on extended work experience to Venezuela or something.

Total waste of space.

Bowchicawowow · 07/02/2019 07:33

Corbyn is a true socialist hence he has always had reservations about the right-wing EU. I am amazed that people who claim to have been Labour supporters all their lives can’t understand this.

bellinisurge · 07/02/2019 07:34

I understand it well enough. He's chomping at the bit and hoping TM will do his dirty work for him.

Fazackerley · 07/02/2019 07:35

I know - always amazes me that people think he would not want Brexit. He's a SOCIALIST why would he want to stay in the EU where they wouldn't let him do exactly what he wants. The only good thing that might come out of this sorry mess is getting rid of him.

LonelyandTiredandLow · 07/02/2019 07:38

Bow I was called all sorts of names when I pointed this out to a group on FB. I'm still confused why he kept saying he voted Remain and think that was a ploy to keep the young on-side. He has instead made sure there is no opposition, as Tusk pointed out.

Libs are sadly in the same boat. I've seen a lot on FB (I follow them) with speeches and how they want to have a PV etc, but they simply aren't heard on mainstream news or given air-time in the press.
