Since when does Russia care about democracy?

Removal of the most significant military force from the EU will make it much easier to assert territorial control over countries near Russian borders.

Britain as a neutral location would be a prime-site for money laundering to/from the EU and for basing intelligence operations.

ohwellinthatcasetryprunes · 20/12/2018 14:18

Divide and conquer?

Russiawithlove · 20/12/2018 14:30

This is utter crap. My family are Russian and I can assure you this is not correct.

Punto1 · 20/12/2018 14:31

Weakens Britain.

Russiawithlove · 20/12/2018 14:33

Your news gives a one sided view to hate Russia...Russian news does the same about the UK.

knittedjest · 20/12/2018 14:33

For the same reason every country putsids the EU is. Because it's easier to do business with a country one-to-one without having to cut through EU redtape.

dangerrabbit · 20/12/2018 14:34

To break up and weaken his opponents and gain power.

Helmetbymidnight · 20/12/2018 14:34

Huh?

Because it weakens the UK and it weakens the EU.

Is that not obvious?

MutantDisco · 20/12/2018 14:36

He is a destabilising force in the world. He wants disorder. He also supports the gilets jaunes.

Russiawithlove · 20/12/2018 14:37

Russia I can assure you is far more interested in the USA and China. The UK is of little importance.

prunemerealgood · 20/12/2018 14:38

I can't believe after the past few years that anyone is asking about Putin's motives! Destabilisation! Brexit destabilises one of the biggest financial centres in the world.

SportTeam · 20/12/2018 14:39

I asked people who reside in other countries if we are being shown anti Russian propaganda, they responded other countries have the same media slant on Russia.

ThatssomebadhatHarry · 20/12/2018 14:40

Russiawithlove

Is your family Russian or are you? It’s odd to use the term ‘your news’!?

Russiawithlove · 20/12/2018 14:42

My parents are Russian. I was born in the UK and have lived here all my life.

Russiawithlove · 20/12/2018 14:43

But yes the propaganda against Russia here beggars belief.

Helmetbymidnight · 20/12/2018 14:43

I'm a bit staggered by this thread, tbh.

We know Russia set up thousands of bots to produce anti EU and pro Trump messages on social media.

Do you
a. not believe that?
b. not believe that leaving the EU will weaken the UK and the EU?

Where have you been?

prunemerealgood · 20/12/2018 14:45

People are not fond of Putin. I doubt many of us know anything much about your average Russian's views!

SportTeam · 20/12/2018 14:47

I don't understand why the UK is a target for Russia, why destabilise here in particular? Confused Why survey our water and land?

Russiawithlove · 20/12/2018 14:49

You are being made to hate Russia for a reason. All I will say is we are not the enemy...and I won't comment on the alleged poisoning but
It did not happen.

MutantDisco · 20/12/2018 14:51

russia okay that's batshit. A woman DIED. I've reported you now.

prunemerealgood · 20/12/2018 14:52

Disrupt the EU
Find the least 'satisfied' member
Fan the flames
Keep working away in the other member states that are feeling a lack of unity
Every little helps

I agree that the US is a bigger and more important target on the face of it

Helmetbymidnight · 20/12/2018 14:53

No one hates ‘russia’

Putin has been trying and succeeding in destabilising the west - (tbf he was probably surprised how easy it was)

SportTeam · 20/12/2018 14:53

Russia

WTF????Hmm

MephistophelesApprentice · 20/12/2018 14:54

Russia isn't an enemy to Britain. It just does realpolitik, the most rational form of international political discourse. We are a rival, so they act to reduce our power and expect us to do the same to them. It's been part of the political culture since before the Revolution and to be honest it's a sign of respect.

Russiawithlove · 20/12/2018 14:56

She did not die from a Russian source. You were fed to believe that.
Report me...i have not said anything wrong.
