Its all about making Russia look stronger by comparison because in reality its a declining nation in terms of economy, population and natural resources.

Anyone know what has happened to the Ukrainian ships and their personnel that were attacked in the Kerch Strait last month in violation of both international maritime law and the existing Ukraine-Russia treaty?

Or are we not supposed to mention it because it’s “anti Russia propaganda”?

Maybe he interferes just because he can, it makes him look a powerful figure particularly to the Russian people. I am not convinced it’s anything much more than that. There is a lot of willy waving going on currently.

Still detained under a "piracy" piece of legislation. There is an ongoing protest by the Ukrainian diaspora in London opposite the Russian Embassy regarding this matter.
