There's a deal.

The press are over excited.

May has united the country.

Everyone hates it.
(Apart from David Allen Green)

Parliament might yet reject it.

Nothing is yet decided and everything is still to be sorted.

The catastrophic mistake May made was to think she could ever get a deal that would make the nutters happy. She's sacrificed the OK deal (SM/CU) she might have got in order to keep them happy. And of course they've turned on her anyway.

DGRossetti · 15/11/2018 11:54

Let's wait and see - there's breath in her yet, and she's made it this far ....

She's not a quitter. Like...

Oh fuck it, I need to get out the car and get my son, not enough time to list them all?!

Please let the madness stop. We have a vote:

  1. No deal
  2. Bad deal
  3. No brexit

If there is none of those with over 50% we return six weeks later to agree on which one of the two front runners from preliminary three way vote.

Democracy in action. We have much more information than 2016.

TBF Rod Stewart in the Cabinet, possibly isn't as bad as some actually ministers.

Fair point. Maybe Elton John too. At least we’d get a spectacularly entertaining hissy fit of a resignation.

prettybird · 15/11/2018 11:58

Where is Gove? Hmm

Fluffy, as expected because he's an inconsequential arse licker , has said that he won't resign. So much for "leading" the unhappy Scottish Tories Confused

islandinsummer5566 · 15/11/2018 11:58

time to get rid of May is LONG OVERDUE - she is a clueless, spineless sell-out

time to WALK AWAY with no deal - that is what the people voted for not this vassalage to EU - Macron and Merkel are even now talking about an EU army to defend against the US - WTF

WhatWouldScoobyDoo · 15/11/2018 11:59

Much respect to TM today.

Just wondering, if she did revoke Art 50, what would stop a “replacement” PM re-invoking it? (Other than making the country even more of a laughing stock, but that doesn’t seem to bother some people.)

Mistigri · 15/11/2018 11:59

This is a really good parody. I almost fell for it.

islandinsummer5566 · 15/11/2018 11:59

Gove has the brains, but they were all used in the ref campaign,. now just looks like he wants to save his cushy ministerial job

islandinsummer5566 · 15/11/2018 12:01

Parady? are you in delusion land

Virtually NOBODY supports this deal, and has been mentioned by many that it will be rejeced in HOC - so how the hell is that a parody post???

You can bet your life that along with labels not being required to state food origins and ingredients, there would be s raft of laws controlling social media, so people would be locked up for tweeting whether a particular brand/batch is chlorinated or not. Are you actually being serious?

Nope, I am safely on the other side of the channel from "delusion land".

SusanWalker · 15/11/2018 12:06

Dd will be pleased. I have finished the edging on her crochet blanket whilst watching sky.

islandinsummer5566 · 15/11/2018 12:06

smile: the viable contenders would be some of the heavyweights amongst the Tory leavers plus some of the new guns

eg. Davies, Duncan-smith, Patel, Gove, Raab

puttingthegenieback · 15/11/2018 12:06

Long-time thread lurker de-lurking here (with gratitude to Red and all the regular contributors). I consider myself fairly well informed on the issues and have followed every Brexit twist and turn. I'm watching May live now. I still just do not not not not NOT understand why she is so adamant that there will not be a second referendum, given what the public were told at the time of the first referendum vs what we know now. Can someone explain this to me please?

Rosehip10 · 15/11/2018 12:08

LK BBC tweeting:

I've just been speaking to Dominic Raab - he told the Chief Whip at end of Cabinet he was quitting, tells me the deal won't get through Parliament, and the EU have been 'blackmailing' us - interview on @bbcnews soon

Raab is fairly new to the scene, could def be worth a go

Somerville · 15/11/2018 12:10

This is agonising to watch. And I can't stand the PM.

islandinsummer5566 · 15/11/2018 12:11

putting: because a second ref is merely a disengenous way of staying in the EU

ie> what if Leave wins again
and secondly, no way they would be allowed to 'win' again
