Massive nod to the brass section in that last clip Cardinal

We've always done good brass in this country. In fact, they had to put a quota on British brass players in the EUYO (one of the orchestras we've lost, much to the delight of the reverse-snobs), particularly trombones. Our brass players have always been a good export (although, as massive drinkers, not necessarily the best ambassadors).

Hence some brass writing from fabulous British composers/

And here's to the domino effect!

I had a shot on a selection of brass instruments one time, whilst on a completely unrelated course - they were nails to get a sound out of!!

The guy who brought them in was awesome - very loud in a tiny classroom, but beautiful.
(The music he played was beautiful, not him - he wasn't beautiful, although he was loud...)

Not beautiful but loud sums up a lot of brass players!
