Ladymuck, I sure did, I opened it carefully and resealed it and took it on school run with me. Obviously, I knew what the offer was from our letter, but was curious as to what the contents of his were. ( Nosey mum, that I am!!!!).

Was listening to Radio 4, but Jenny Murray and Sophie Grigson wittering on about luscious warm figs ripe from the tree were really getting on my tits. Postman's going to have a heart attack as the envelopes are snatched from inside the letterbox.

You may all feel at liberty to mock me for my lack of faith in Steptoe Junior. His general lack of ability to remember what he had for lunch or whether he's got any homework clearly isn't related to his ability in exams or interviews, as he has offers from all four schools: Dulwich College, Trinity, Emanuel and, astonishingly, Alleyn's.

It was a real effort of will to ring DH before I updated you lot.
