I'm not sure whether it's a bit early in the year for ebaying but I still have mountains of stuff to get rid of!!. Most of the over 99p stuff I had has sold but there is still a lot of things here that might be of interest to others.

After feeling a bit fed of ebay before Christmas I seem to have recovered a bit of enthusiasm for it again after receiving some lovely feedback on items that I didn't expect (I need to have more confidence in what I'm selling!!).

Anyone else want to join me?

Aww sorry Tort , it did get quite a few bids in the last minute.

Sold 6 things tonight and made £59, so quite pleased with that, will relist the things that didn't sell and maybe add some more stuff over the weekend.

Tortoise · 14/04/2010 18:10

Taken photos ready to list later. Also have DS1's high sleeper to list. Not expecting much for it. It does creak quite a bit!

Tortoise · 15/04/2010 21:11

Have listed DS1's high sleeper.
Was going to list other items but i want to do 5 day listing and weekend end time.

ButterPie · 15/04/2010 23:47

Eep, I have set up a shop, so no going back now! I have some lovely things to sell that would seem to be too small for my camera to take nice pictures of though, so I need to see if FILs camera has a macro function and if I can borrow it.

ButterPie · 16/04/2010 17:48

Pictures taken, so now I am slowly working through getting the listings up. Hardly any bids this week though

Tortoise · 16/04/2010 21:41

16 items listed tonight.
Here are my items.

Already have 4 items with 1 watcher! Love it when that happens!

Tortoise · 16/04/2010 22:15

Ooooh i have a bid already.
I still get so excited seeing watchers and bids lol.

ButterPie · 16/04/2010 23:32

my stuff

Nothing is really happening for me this week

Tortoise · 18/04/2010 17:41

High sleeper has a bid, ends in a few hours. Have to drag it out the shed in a mo and measure it for someone! That should be fun! Why didn't i think to measure it before taking it apart? lol!

Tortoise · 18/04/2010 22:02

Bed sold for £5! Didn't expect much TBH but a little more would have been nice!

DD2 has decided she doesn't want the v-smile any more so i have that to list plus masses of games for it and the art studio. Also have the v-smile pocket but not sure it works plus not in great condition. Money will go towards a DS for her, for her Birthday in July.

ButterPie · 18/04/2010 22:45

£29.22 this week. Could do better. Still, it all adds up!

ElizabethWakefield · 19/04/2010 20:36

That's disappointing about your bed tort! Although a real bargain for someone!!!

I added a few more things tonight here they are Sold 2 things last night for a grand total of 99p each

Tortoise · 19/04/2010 21:31

EW Yes a bit disappointing but glad to get rid TBH. It creaked every time DS1 moved! Probably because he is a bit big for that sort of bed now as he is 13.

So far i have 2 items with 1 bid and i item with 2 bids. Keep checking to see if any more bids!

ButterPie · 19/04/2010 22:47

And, as soon as money comes into paypal, I go and buy something new. It is quite scary.

SNOWBall4girlz · 20/04/2010 11:44

its slow but hopefully steady
I have a few bids and a few watchers on my stuff I think the sunshine helps sales lol

It mostly ends today but I will be putting more stuff on tomorrow ...got to go and post two things.
my stuff

ElizabethWakefield · 20/04/2010 19:02

I hope the sunshine encourages people to bid I have bids on 4 of my things from last night, so pleased so far.

Tortoise, I am also obsessed with checking the bids! Which is silly because most bids tend to come in the last hour or so!

ButterPie · 20/04/2010 20:21

I've stuck a load of DD2s old clothes up now, as I am thinking that, if I get rid of all the baby clothes, I won't want another baby.

That's how it works, right?

Anyhow have a look

I have piles of stuff waiting to go on, my camera is rubbish for small things though and I have to borrow FILs for mass photoshoots. I might see what I can manage with some good lighting and my camera. It is mainly vintage hats and jewellery though, not sure how the details will come out...

I could always set to making some more things, I had some good ideas before...

ElizabethWakefield · 21/04/2010 11:38

Looks good BP

I am having hassles with a buyer from last week. She contacted me yesterday to ask if the item had been posted, i replied that it had been posted on Friday afternoon and should be with her soon, but today she has opened a case against me, just with the words "I want my item"

I have proof of postage but no tracking number. It was the Gap jacket Tort was after Anyway, I have directed her to the royal mail website which states there will be delays due to the closure of airspace, and asked her to bear with me as obviously this is not something i have any control over, so will see what happens. This is the worst thing about selling on ebay i think

ButterPie · 21/04/2010 13:37

Argh, EW, I had a problem like that myself a few years back. I didn't get proof of postage and so paypal refunded a buyer. Put me off ebay for a while.

SNOWBall4girlz · 21/04/2010 15:56

EW I send everything recorded as it is more for your protection if things get lost
I make sure it is covered in my p and p and wont send anything abroad unless international signed for.
Hope it turns up you can claim with your proof of postage but takes a while.

ElizabethWakefield · 21/04/2010 23:05

Thankfully it seems to have turned up today, so they have cancelled the case. I think they were really quick to open it especially as the Royal Mail website states there may be delays. Really pleased as I know paypal would have just refunded.

SNOWBall4girlz · 22/04/2010 00:58

thats great EW

jx

Tortoise · 23/04/2010 17:37

All 16 of my items end tonight. So far 7 will sell with 25 bids overall. Hoping for a few more to get bids later.

Tortoise · 23/04/2010 21:38

All 16 items sold in the end . Am very happy.
Made a total of £54.56 on those 16 items. Not bad really.

ElizabethWakefield · 24/04/2010 15:44

Thanks Snow

That was good going last night, well done, I have stuff ending tonight too, but only have about £12 worth of bids so far.

This morning I cleared out all of DD's drawers and have filled 3 bin bags of stuff that don't fit her 2 bags worth for ebay and 1 for the bin. It's mostly summery stuff in age 7 and 8, so will some of that on hopefully over the weekend too!

11 weeks tomorrow til I go on holiday, so really need to make more money!!
