wilbur · 20/09/2009 22:36

Liahgen - aaargh, will go and change that thanks. That'll teach me to ebay while trying to make tea.

liahgen · 20/09/2009 22:43

wilbur how does the green bateau skirt come up? generous or not?

wilbur · 20/09/2009 22:52

Amazingly for P Bateau, it is quite generous and dd was wearing it up until this spring just before she turned 6.

Have sorted out the sizes now, thanks for that!

liahgen · 20/09/2009 22:55

I love the skirt, have added it to watch, please remind me when auction is almost over, I am notoriously bad at remembering watched items.

wilbur · 20/09/2009 22:56

Will do! Off to bed now, too knackered even to surf now.

wilbur · 21/09/2009 14:07

Anyone around? Ebay gurus? Someone has contacted me asking to do a Buy It Now for one of my items - is this worth doing? Any idea what I should ask? I don't even know if you can convert from a regular auction to a buy it now one. Anyone know about this?

Hi Wilbur I think as long as noone has bid you can revise your listing...I haven't done this though. I said no when someone asked me. As for what to ask what did you pay for it? What do you think its worth? When the bidder contacted me they also suggested a price which I thought was a bit low which is why I didn't accept their offer, my item went for more.

Liahgen I could be interested in My Completely Best Story Collection what would you be asking for it?

wilbur · 21/09/2009 15:04

Thanks Bakewell - someone has already placed a bid, so I think it's going to be too complicated. Will wait and see how it does.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 21/09/2009 15:32

Wilbur if you ever want to do it it is really easy, just click on your item, then on 'revise your item' then you will go back to your original selling form, just select BIN as an option (costs 6p).

When buyers requst this I always put the ball in their court and ask them what they are prepared to pay, and then up it a bit and ask if that is acceptable, their is normally some haggling, but gererally you will get a bit more than if you let it run as an auction as you have a party who really wants it.

Also make sure you check with the buyer when you should add the BIN as they will want to grab it straight away, so make sure it is a convienient time.

Some sellers are really snotty about adding BINs but I have sold things for well over their worth by doing it and negotiating in a friendly manner.

jemart · 21/09/2009 17:15

I'm going to need a new target, I'm currently on £470 - more new things here

Tortoise · 21/09/2009 17:30

mrsjammi Shame you didn't ask before. I just sold loads of it. All i have left is 2 winnie the pooh sets i think. Plus may have 300+ bricks as buyer from slovenia!!! hasn't paid!

Have some bids on a few bits plus some watchers. Not doing too bad so far.

BTW buy it now can't be added once item has bids.

Woohoo! sold my moses basket and stand ....and its been collected this time! thats another £15 no bids at all the other night so relisted. trying to get photos and postage weights done so I can list quilkly-ish another night. DH is off fishing sat night so will probably be listing then.

Tortoise · 21/09/2009 21:57

That's great mel

OnlyWantsOneDoesntLikeDM · 21/09/2009 21:57

Ive added more tonight - hope I get some interest.

Now got my detailed selling rating all full stars yay!!! here

notcitrus · 21/09/2009 22:50

Well that's £65 from that batch. Have just found out SIL is expecting again so that ensures all baby stuff can go up to her! That should make lots of room.

Tortoise · 22/09/2009 11:34

Have started a dispute for the duplo as buyer still hasn't paid despite telling me they would pay Monday!
Reading their recent feedback they have won 2 other items and neither one was paid for. Stupid that as the seller we have to leave positive though.

OP posts:
BakewellTarts · 22/09/2009 19:11

Tortoise At least you can get that resolved and relist your Duplo. I'm sure it will sell again. The positive only feedback for sellers is really annoying hardly protecting the ebay community as they claim.

Mel great news that you got rid of the moses basket its great to clear out the space isn't it>

notcitrus congrats to your SIL. Thats the best being able to pass things onto someone close who can use them.

I'm busy taking pics and writing stuff at the moment. planning another listing session towards the end of the week when I'm organised.
