Marking my place

We have tons of stuff that needs listing but somehow never get around to it...

BakewellTarts · 03/09/2009 12:53

Can I sign up too...? Having a major clearout of old baby stuff and planning on Ebaying lots of it and this will keep me focused (I hope).

I'm also going to do some jumble / car boot sales so if its OK will include proceeds from these in my running total.

I've mad a good start listing a few things for the past week but still more to go. my items

Sorry for hjjack, but cyteen were you at Bikram tonight?

I was getting strong mn vibes, but was too much of a wuss to say in case I was wrong.

bigpantywoman · 03/09/2009 21:36

Okay, I'm in, we are going travelling for a year next year and so I need a big clear out. What stuff do you reckon sells well - I have a loft full of stuff, camping mats, a birth ball, picture frames, all sorts. I have tried selling clothes before but not had much success to be honest. Also would love any e-bay tips like what time to list, how much detail to put in listings, etc. Thanks!

Tortoise · 03/09/2009 21:51

more items listed tonight. Have a few watchers.

bigpantywoman I think it is worth giving anything a try on Ebay! I prefer to have items ending in the evenings.
Give as much detail as possible.
Good luck.

That will start me on my way to £300.

cheesesarnie · 03/09/2009 22:42

i wouldnt get much for mine.

Tortoise · 03/09/2009 22:51

Hey, that would give you an unfair advantage lol. I don't have a DP/DH!

OP posts:
cheesesarnie · 03/09/2009 23:08

you can have mine-then try to sell him

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 04/09/2009 07:07

BakewellTarts You have got 2 Cut4Cloth/Frugi sleepsuits listed, but you havn't put Cut4Cloth/Frugi in the title IYSWIM, so when people search for these words your items won't come up.

My kids wear quite a bit of Frugi and it sells really well, you just need to edit your listing to change the title and you should get more bids.

Just a heads up, I hope you don't mind me mentioning it.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 04/09/2009 07:12

Made £24.81 so far.......

Have 21 watchers on one of ds old tee shirts, already bids are up to £5.88, I only paid £2.50 for it in a sale.

BakewellTarts · 04/09/2009 08:49

WhereTheWildThingsWere I'm pretty new at selling on Ebay so all tips are very welcome...listings now edited, although I can't change the title of the one with the bid on it I've edited the brand so hopefully that will increase its visibility on searches...(loving your name BTW its one of DD1s favourite books).

LOL at the thought of selling DH / DP's not sure whether I'd list mine he can be useful to have around and the DD's would miss him.

So far got bids up to £7.96 which isn't huge but several watchers so feeling hopeful that I'll sell some more things.

More to list tonight...
