Right, new thread ready to make cash for Christmas!
Good luck Ebayers.

well done Idris, you've been busy! The advent calenders look cute, I've never seen them before.

Am busy researching buggy boards to go on my Bee so I can cart around DS1 when DS2 arrives - so I'll probably end up spending any money I make, straight back on ebay!

IdrisTheDragon · 08/11/2009 23:18

Ooh - just sold a book on Amazon. And you get to charge P&P there (or at least it is taken into account when the buyer is charged and then amazon takes fees but you don't get the double whammy of paypal fees and ebay fees).

Need to post within 2 business days it tells me. By 23:59 on 10th November lol

DS and DD would like new playmobil advent calendars so I will also be putting money back into ebay. But I am happy with that as really this selling is helping to fund things for them.

IdrisTheDragon · 08/11/2009 23:20

How old will your DS1 be when DS2 is born? There is 22 months between my DS and DD and most of the time it is a good age gap

sushistar · 08/11/2009 23:37

21.5 months gap - now I'm starting to clear stuff out, and have got a new buggy and am sorting out the boxes of newboarn clothes, I'm getting really excited about having a tiny baby again!

sushistar · 08/11/2009 23:37

Well done for the Amazon sale.
I sold a bit on there before but I found the books would hang around the house for ages when the main point was that I wanted to get rid of them!

sushistar · 09/11/2009 13:47

Hooray, 2 more bids on one item, and all the rest but 2 have watchers. Must stop surfing ebay for things to BUY though!!

Tortoise · 09/11/2009 13:56

Well done sushi.

Hi
Am new to ebay...and would really like/need to sell some things - what sells well - I know that is a pretty big question
I am doing a clear out and have clothes, boxed phone, boxed digital photoframe ...any advice well appreciated

mogs0 · 09/11/2009 16:15

janx - I usually look for items the same as I have to get rid of to see if there are any current auctions and check to see any finished ones to see if it's worth putting my ones on. I tend to mainly sell children's stuff - toys, buggies etc. I do have a bit of an unhealthy collection of designer handbags that I've started listing - they seem to be doing well at the moment. I have a big pile of ds' old clothes to put on but I never seem to get very much for them so it puts me off a bit and I'd rather give them to charity shop.

sushi - well done! I have banned myself from buying anything else though I am watching a lovely skirt that ends tonight !

I have bids on 4 of my items (1 is for my friend) and lots of watchers - still got 4 days to go though.......I don't like the waiting bit!!

I'm going to list more tonight when ds in bed.

IdrisTheDragon · 09/11/2009 16:17

I now have 10 watchers on the tights. And two bids.

Advent calendars have a few watchers too.

Tortoise · 09/11/2009 18:35

Clarks boots end later. Seem to be stuck on £5.55! Plus have lost quite a few watchers.

Thinking i might list christmassy items this week. Getting short on decent things to list! I do have a pile of Knex but it doesn't seem to sell that well.

Still looking for HSM stuff if anyone has any.

OP posts:
mogs0 · 09/11/2009 18:59

Hope you get more bids on your boots!
I have a K'nex set that ds didn't really play with much. I might dig it out.

I've got the next 2 days off so will make a list tonight of what I have to ebay while I'm here with nothing better to do! I am determined to be less cluttered before the year is out!!!

Divatheshopaholic · 09/11/2009 19:03

i havent listed on ebay again, hoping they will do free lsiting, some stuff i dont want to do for 99p.
oh, i sold little baby toy for 1.50 locally.

Tortoise · 09/11/2009 20:17

Boots sold for £6.55. Not as much as i had hoped but better than nothing.

OP posts:
mogs0 · 09/11/2009 20:32

Shame you didn't get as much as you'd hoped but it all goes towards the final target - extra cash and less clutter!!!

My last buggy for-sale has now been sold! I'm finally down to just one buggy for the first time in years!! I am not allowing myself to buy another one ever again unless something new and lovely appears on the market!!

IdrisTheDragon · 09/11/2009 20:46

11 watchers on the tights....

mogs0 · 09/11/2009 20:58

I hope some of them bid Idris! I get all excited when there are lots of watchers but it's so frustrating when nothing happens right until the last minute. I waste so much of my week checking for new bids.

I currently have 4 items that will sell, 2 are at 99p, 1 at £1-something and the other is my friends (so doesn't count). One of the 99p ones has 21 watchers and I'm willing there to be some new bids everytime I refresh!

I haven't had any tea yet because I can't drag myself away from the screen. I haven't watched any soaps for ages because I'm always upstairs on the 'puter!!! - I think I have a problem - other than being VERY hungry!

IdrisTheDragon · 09/11/2009 22:32

I keep checking too (13 watchers on the tights now .

Have got a 99p on something I listed yesterday as well (up to a total of £2 something selling).

I think having them ending at different times is helping my obsession as the bidding peaks will hopefully happen at different times.

mogs0 · 09/11/2009 22:35

Ah, I can't concentrate long enough to list anything else while I've already got auctions running. I will definitely have to focus tomorrow and get more listed otherwise I'll still have most of it by Christmas!!

sushistar · 10/11/2009 12:48

My bugaboo hood sold on BIN for £25!!! HOORAY!

3 items ending this evening - 2 have bids and a few watcher, one has no bids / no watchers so might end up relisting that one. Ah well.
Also some printer cartridges I listed day before yesterday are up to £10 already - looking hopeful!

oops sorry double post

Bellared · 10/11/2009 13:07

Hi Sushi, Done it! Yeah, IKWYM, I look under both categories but some people (including me) don't double check it before they list it.

Well diddly done on the Bugaboo!

I'm orf to the PO to send the 2 dresses I sold the other day.

mogs0 · 10/11/2009 13:14

Well done sushi!!

I have 62 watchers in total but no more bids for AGES!!!

PF driver was supposed to collect a parcel (item sold last week) yesterday but didn't turn up, then supposed to come this morning and still no sign of him . Lady at the depot didn't know anything about it (double ) so I'm just hanging around waiting. I'll phone them again at 2 if the parcel is still here.

IdrisTheDragon · 10/11/2009 17:10

Well done sushi

I now have 17 watchers for the tights (I bet it's loads of you ) and 15 for one of the advent calendars and 8 for the other.

Tights and various other clothes end tomorrow evening.
