Good luck Ebayers.

Sorry - I replied on your boot thread . Hopefully they will sell tomorrow

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 07/11/2009 22:00

Thanks for replying idris. I thought they were ok. Feel and a bit sad how everyone has slated them! Oh well, hope they look at my other items lol!

sushistar · 07/11/2009 22:05

Gunpowder, your cute pink girls boots are listed as girls BOOKS. That might stop them showing up in searches - is it worth editing?

IdrisTheDragon · 07/11/2009 22:08

I like the boots. DD would like some boots.

IdrisTheDragon · 07/11/2009 22:10

How high up a small girl's leg do they come?

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 07/11/2009 22:14

Damn! So they are . Too late to edit title . Bugger why didn't i notice before? That is not good.

Erm they are just above ankle i would say. Difficult to immagine actually.

IdrisTheDragon · 07/11/2009 22:16

You may find your number of watchers has increased by one

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 07/11/2009 22:20

Really worried they won't sell well now. So disappointed in myself. What a stupid error to make.

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 07/11/2009 22:28

I did just search for clarks boots 9 1/2 and they do come up in search for me so hopefully all is not lost yet!

sushistar · 07/11/2009 23:05

It's probably ok as they are listed in the right category iyswim. Don't be disheartened!

Are you near your 300 target yet?

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 07/11/2009 23:14

I have made over £300 i think. Had some good items sell early on in the challenge.
I also cheat a bit as i often pick up bit from charity shops that i think will sell well!

sushistar · 07/11/2009 23:25

Ha, the charity shop tactic works as long as you don't end up keeping the stuff yourself...
In London I find the charity shops are really expensive so that doesn't work, but where my mum lives in the country the charity shops are really chaep - some fab bargains.

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 07/11/2009 23:30

It is normally things i don't want/won't fit etc. I love it when they do offers like 4 items for £1! Can buy lots cheap and sell on. naughty but good for raising money for me. And i spend lots in there on stuff for me and kids anyway.

sushistar · 08/11/2009 13:15

I don't think there's anything wrong with it tortoise - I do it a bit too. I think if I found something worth hundreds of pounds I'd feel obliged to give the charity shop some of it, but when it's bits and pieces bought for £1 and sold on ebay for £4, it seems a win-win - charity shop gets money, we get money, the item is reused so the environment benefits, and the ebay purchaser gets a bargain!

Hooray, one of my items has a bid - 99p, but it's a start!

IdrisTheDragon · 08/11/2009 13:22

for bid.

Have been excavating under a sofa (it does have a big gap underneath) and found a few things I may be able to sell

sushistar · 08/11/2009 14:37

Wow, under the sofa! That's cool. I keep looking at the toybox and trying to summon the courage to clear it out - there are probably some saleable things in there. I find though it's not actually finding stuff to sell that's the problem, it's getting round to actually listing it...

IdrisTheDragon · 08/11/2009 15:36

Have sorted out the playmobil advent calendars now. One has all the pieces - the other has the odd piece missing here and there (but something in every box IYSWIM). Will list both and point out very carefully the missing bits for one of them I think.

IdrisTheDragon · 08/11/2009 15:37

I have 6 watchers for some girls' tights from Next. Go on someone - bid .

They don't end until Wednesday evening so plenty of time yet, I tell myself .

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 08/11/2009 16:35

I have a few more watchers on the kids boots but no more bids. Couple items ending tonight.

Idris 6 watchers is good. Have you linked your items on here?

IdrisTheDragon · 08/11/2009 17:19

Here are my items (so far ). There may be a few more before the day is done.

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 08/11/2009 17:35

Does anyone have anything high school musical to sell?

Still no more bids! I have to keep checking lol!

sushistar · 08/11/2009 17:37

Hooray, I have a watcher on another item the ink cartridges which are out of date but I think will still work and someone will no doubt get a bargain. I haven't ebayed in a while, forgot how satisfying it is (if the stuiff actually sells!) Will list at least 2 more tonight, that's my target.

IdrisTheDragon · 08/11/2009 17:41

HSM hasn't yet hit us (DS is nearly 6 and DD at 4 doesn't seem to know about it yet).

I am sure this will change though

sushistar · 08/11/2009 17:46

I don't get HSM. DS is 2 so no worries there yet! But I'm sure the stuff will sekll well, especially this time of year - are you buying or selling tortoise?

guyfawkesWILBURn · 08/11/2009 17:53

Not doing too badly, made about £150 so far once fees and postage taken into account. Not sure I have much else to sell at the moment (feels so good to have got rid of some of it that's been lurking for ages and a few people have got awesome bargains!). Probably going to rifle through loft this week to see what else there is.
