Right, new thread ready to make cash for Christmas!
Good luck Ebayers.

OP posts:
mogs0 · 05/11/2009 20:47

My items have finished, got good amounts for them. Have to go and pack up a balance bike now though and book a courier - this is the bit that I'm not so keen on!

I have a splitting head-ache tonight so will wait until the weekend before I put anymore things on.

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 05/11/2009 20:49

Mogs Courier is easy to organise actually. I use parcels2go. There is a code on advert on Ebay to get 5% discount.

mogs0 · 05/11/2009 20:52

Thanks, I have a courier who I use quite regularly, it's the packing up of awkward shaped items I don't like!! What is parcel2go's standard charge and do they have a size limit on the parcel?

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 05/11/2009 20:55

Price works out around £8 with VAT or £7. something with the code. Packaging is the hardest bit, very true! Not sure what size limits are! Weight is a very high limit though.

mogs0 · 05/11/2009 21:00

Ok, thanks. The one I use is £8.99 but there is a size limit. I'm planning on listing my double mountain buggy but I think it'll exceed the limits - might try and see how small I can pack it before I list it!

NickNemo · 05/11/2009 21:13

Tortoise, yes the cheapest works out to be £7.95 with RM, and this is their parcels service. Its because the item weighs well over 4 kgs.

But she's said she's happy to collect, so I'll let you know how it all works out. Finger's crossed.

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 05/11/2009 21:42

NickNemo Glad buyer is happy to collect

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 05/11/2009 22:15

YES Pass the bomb sold on BIN .

sparklycherrybomb · 05/11/2009 22:54

SNOWBall4girlz · 05/11/2009 23:28

well I have put a couple of bits on to end at weekend and hope to put more on over weekend ...
got 9 watchers on the boden dress but not much other interest yet
well done tort and thats nice that she will collect too nemo
my stuff seems to multiply before i can get it on
want to put a ralph lauren snow suit on but not sure if i would get £15 which is the minimum I would like (fingers crossed)

SNOWBall4girlz · 05/11/2009 23:29

here is my stuff

NickNemo · 06/11/2009 16:53

Well, Collect Plus are quite efficient. I just dropped the parcel off at the sending point and came back to a message saying that it had been dropped off and they woudl notify me and the recipient when it arrived at its destination. Also have a tracking number which I have sent the buyer. For £3.79, can't go wrong (unless of course it never arrives).

Yay, I sold my other items for good prices too, so on the way to my £300 (not quite yet, but have made £63 so far)

Will be putting more things on over the weekend.

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 06/11/2009 17:22

I looked at them but no collection/drop off point that i can get to otherwise sounds great.

Loads ending tonight, not much interest!

Still waiting for 2 payments too.

mogs0 · 06/11/2009 19:14

Collect+ sounds like a good cheap option but I couldn't find one near me .

Tort - good luck with your auctions, hope they get lots of interest at the end! Have your non-payers contacted you at all? It's so annoying when they take ages to pay or don't pay at all.

I have just spend the last 2 hours TLing 8 items but not sure when to upload. I want to do it now so I don't forget but I'm thinking it might be a bit early in the evening when they end next week. All 8 items are baby/child related.

I think I'll go and give my hungry ds his tea then come back and upload!!

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 06/11/2009 19:42

Mogs No, no contact at all. I have sent 2 invoices to both. Will email later/tomorrow and threaten unpaid strike and report to Ebay!

mogs0 · 06/11/2009 20:26

I couldn't wait any longer !!

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 06/11/2009 21:25

Made £17 tonight. Few items still listed but only 1 with 1 bid.

mogs0 · 07/11/2009 08:04

£17 not bad, hope you get more bids on the other items!!

I've got a few watchers but no bids yet.

Ds had me out of bed at 7am, I wasn't impressed - had been looking forward to a lie-in all week!! On the plus-side, I have already cleaned the kitchen so now I can start listing more on TL. My problem is that I list all the things I'm confident will sell well then all the other stuff just piles up. It has to get sorted today!

I think I have a Rory the Racing car dressing up suit in the cupboard that my friend asked me to list but can't actually get into the cupboard because there's so much crap ebay stuff infront of the doors!

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 07/11/2009 09:34

SOunds like me Mogs!
I do have Christmas santa dresses and elf costume to list plus a few silly moving/musical santa/reindeer things to list! May do that later.

mogs0 · 07/11/2009 09:40

Right, I have 1 hour to make a start on listing and tidying THE cupboard!!!

IdrisTheDragon · 07/11/2009 10:04

Gah, got my first neutral. Person thought it was worse condition than described - I did say the top had marks on it and was a play top but I guess at least they didn't do a negative.

Taking into account the fact I underestimated on postage and the ebay and paypal fees I probably ended up paying to get a neutral

mogs0 · 07/11/2009 10:18

Oh, that's so annoying! Didn't they contact you first? Can you reply to their feedback (I'm not sure how it works anymore)? I don't tend to look too much at feedback unless it's below 95% and even then it depends on how much fb they have.

I had a neutral for some pjs because the buyer said the items had been worn (sold as BN and def hadn't been worn). I offered for her to return both pairs at my cost and a full refund and she still left neutral. She was really horrible in her emails too. It really put me off for a while. I also got a neg because the buyer hadn't read the listing properly but that seems to have gone from my rating now (it was about five years ago!).

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 07/11/2009 10:29

Thats a shame. But at least neutral doesn't affect your feedback score. I never check for neutrals if feedback says 100%.

I am thinking about blowing all my money on a bundle of mostly new jeans! I really need some new jeans and this is 12 pairs (although about 4 of them will be too short for me!) price £9.99 plus £12 postage. Have a few hours to decide if i will bid!

mogs0 · 07/11/2009 10:41

Could you re-list the jeans that are too short?

Some more listings but don't know how to put them all up in one link so will just put up one at a time !!

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 07/11/2009 10:43

We can just click on view other items.

Yes the plan would be to re-list the too short ones.
