ATortoiseisBetterThanABlackCat · 01/11/2009 21:23

Don't blame you for spending your money on your self

IdrisTheDragon · 01/11/2009 21:26

My items sold for.......

£2.05.

Shall I bother relisting the (now 7) items that didn't sell again?

IdrisTheDragon · 01/11/2009 21:27

I wonder if digital camera frames would sell? I have one and possibly two somewhere.

ATortoiseisBetterThanABlackCat · 01/11/2009 21:46

How many time have you re-listed them? I tend to re-list 3 times before giving up! Then they tend to go back in the cupboard for a few months!
I would think digital photo frames would sell. Have a look at completed listing.

Divatheshopaholic · 01/11/2009 22:24

Idris, i will be interested in them, if you have price in mind, and tell what make capacity etc...
I dont know if i bother to relist them again all had watchers from 3-8, but none sold Why people just watch Arghhhh

ATortoiseisBetterThanABlackCat · 02/11/2009 09:16

Hope your bits sell mel. Got refund for DS and found one locally for sale. Not such a bargain but managed to get some cheapish games off ebay to go with it.

SNOWBall4girlz · 03/11/2009 01:10

Need about £500 to fund this christmas

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 03/11/2009 20:17

One more item added to listings here.
Not sure whether to list my other boots that i don't really wear. Maybe i could buy a better pair if i get any money from them.

notcitrus · 03/11/2009 21:23

Anyone else having postal woes? It took 10 days for 2 packets to reach me recently, both sent 1st class. Still waiting for a rainsuit that was sent 2 weeks ago.

Given that, not sure I want to list anything atm. But SIL isn't visiting to pick up baby stuff any more so need to get rid...

mel1981 · 03/11/2009 21:25

love the boots but am only a size 5 or 6. I would say list the others too its the right time of year or try selling on here? The only thing that makes me weary of buying shoes off ebay is incase they dont fit.
Good luck though. & good luck snowball.
Only made 99p from 1 item last night out of about 15 items. And suprised to see some items i posted yesterday had been received toady too -was expecting delays.

mogs0 · 03/11/2009 22:12

I now have nearly 80 watchers over 2 of my listings but still nearly 2 days until they finish - I can't cope with the waiting!!! I might have to leave the pc off tomorrow otherwise I'll spend the whole day refreshing!!!

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 03/11/2009 22:29

I've only had one sent item go missing so far and bought items seem to be arriving ok.

Mel My £5 sub ran out on here and would rather not re-do it yet. Don't think enough people look at for sale now.

80 watchers . That is amazing! Hope you get lots of bids out of that.

1 watcher on the boots so far!

mel1981 · 04/11/2009 10:45

WOW 80 watchers?!!! I wish my stuff would get that much interest.
I must admit I realised yesterday that my sub ran out a few weeks back too and am debating whether its worth renewing. My stuff Ive listed on the for sale page doesnt really sell well. whereas some peoples sell really well. I put loads on for 50p (way less than they were worth-but just wanted rid for something) and only sold 1 or 2 items. How does everyones else find the for sale pages on here? I might have some next or gap stuff but no real big names so maybe thats why my stuff doesnt sell.

mogs0 · 04/11/2009 11:21

It's a lot of watchers but none of them are bidding much!! They're fairly popular items so I'm hoping they a couple more bids before the auctions end.

I've tried to sell a couple of buggys and my friends BN PSP on here but didn't really get much interest. I've got a couple of changing bags I want to get rid of so might try on here before ebay. TBH I've only ever looked at the buggy sale board ( apart from a quick glance at the toys when I listed the PSP).

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 04/11/2009 11:33

I do look every now and then on for sale. Have been looking for a bundle of size 14 clothes on Ebay and checked on here too. Haven't found anything yet!

IdrisTheDragon · 04/11/2009 11:40

What do people do about receiving feedback from buyers. I tend to wait until they have posted their feedback before doing mine, but there are a few who haven't and I don't know whether

a) parcel hasn't got there
b) they have forgotten
c) something else

I know as a buyer I hate being hassled for feedback, so will leave it I think.

NickNemo · 04/11/2009 13:03

Am I too late to join? I've just listed a few things on here

We're moving to Canada, so I am going to list lots of stuff and hope everything goes, as I don't want to pay out for shipping. Plus we need money for Christmas as DH has opted for redundancy and my job doesn't start till well after new year's. So really hoping to make the £300 from this challenge.

Does anyone know where I can list a cot + accessories and a highchair? I want to list on ebay, but a bit nervous about listing for pickups for big items. I have offered pickups for small items, but no one has taken me up so far. Can anyone advise me on this please? Thanks.

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 04/11/2009 20:19

Two more items listed includingthese cute girls boots and pass the bomb game.

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 04/11/2009 20:21

Welcome NickNemo . Depending what area you are in, pick up only items can do well. Or is there a local shop you could put an advert in? Good luck selling lots before your big move.

NickNemo · 04/11/2009 20:32

Thanks Tortoise, I didn't think of advertising in the local shop. We were going to do our fish tank that way, so may just kill two birds and list the cot and high chair.

NickNemo · 05/11/2009 19:37

Its me again... I've just sold my Tonka Truck for £3, which is a shame, was hoping to get more for it, but hey, its still £3 more than I had yesterday. I added £5.50 for postage, randomly, because I wanted the item to sell.

I have a question about the postage though. I have to send it to Scotland, and RM is charging me well over £8 for it. I want to use Home Delivery Network's Collect +, which is cheaper and able to carry heavier items and more secure. The only issue is that the buyer will have to collect it from a store close to her.

Now I've checked the closest store to her and its only 2 streets away from her address. Will I be unreasonable to ask her if she would be willing to collect from there? Because if I use RM, I make a big loss on the item.

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 05/11/2009 20:04

You can ask but be prepared for them not to be happy to do it.
Is £8 the cheapest RM option? If not maybe send standard parcels instead and explain to the buyer why.

I have a few items with a bid so far.
