Tortoise Stop listing, your stuff is too tempting, I've just bid on the pumpkin suit!

Tortoise · 28/09/2009 18:25

Beth. Thanks for bidding though.

Wilbur - good. My PC is clown shoes, we need a new one and when we do I want to thrown this out the window and burn it.

Re-list it! I first put the clothes in a bundle then ended up re-listing them individually and I've got a bid on one item and watchers on the other.

Does anyone here have luck selling on car boots?

Aims You have been busy. My DD2 would love the Fifi book and DD1 would love the CD and book. But (and don't want to sound rude here) isn't £2 rather high postage for a book? Most would go large letter at around 90p wouldn't they?

2 of my Halloween outfits are doing well. Am very pleased with that.

Watching both books now. Could be great stocking fillers . Hope everything does well. Hope you didn't mind me mentioning postage too?

Hooray, have sold first item

Just need bidder to pay for it now (they only bought it yesterday so not too worried yet).

And have another item listed to end on Sunday.

IdrisTheDragon · 30/09/2009 14:00

Have an evening dress I'm not going to wear again, but looking at completed items it seems a lottery whether they sell or not.

IdrisTheDragon · 30/09/2009 14:02

And have a bid on the item to end on Sunday. Would like a few more on it though

Idris - I have a lovely evening dress that I was thinking of selling as well but agree it's quite a lottery about whether they go for anything decent. Unless I got a fair bit for it, I'd rather save it for dd's dressing up. Maybe I'll put it on once with a reserve - or is that a bad idea?

Tortoise · 01/10/2009 14:15

Aims Really sorry, forgot books were ending earlier. Had my friends little DS2 for the morning.
Still interested in them though.

How long is it best to wait after you have sent an invoice before gently suggesting someone might want to pay?

Accepted a best buy offer within an hour of person making it on Monday, sent invoice and since then nothing. I would like to be paid, but don't want to hassle them too soon and annoy them.

IdrisTheDragon · 01/10/2009 20:12

Their feedback talks about them making quick payments. Hmm.

Tortoise · 01/10/2009 20:33

Idris I would send another invoice and hold that reminds them to pay. I had to do this the other day. They paid by the end of the day.

My Devil dress sold for £10.50!!
DD2's cat outfit sold for £10.51!!

Very happy with tonights results!
