I am the worst ebay photographer ever Grin

RecursiveMoon · 19/07/2012 19:34

I planned to list some things tonight too, but I'm going to do some housework instead. Woop woop!

RecursiveMoon · 19/07/2012 19:35

LineRunner, we need a link so that we can check out your photography skills Wink.

Babylon1 · 19/07/2012 22:24

Hi again!! Long time since last check in!!

I had 96 items listed at beginning of this week, and they're all finishing in the next half hour!! 81 items so far today have sold since 2pm- I'll have made over £390 this week!! Very pleased AND I now have a load more stuff to list courtesy of a friend having a massive clearout and offering it all to me Grin

Babylon1 · 19/07/2012 22:27

Way to go milk Grin

I'll let you know my final total for this batch of sales in about 15 mins!!!

Put it this way, I've made enough for a weeks camping down south when re summer ever arrive???!! Grin

PurpleFrog · 20/07/2012 09:32

Free listing again this weekend!

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 20/07/2012 14:18

Right, as it's free-listing tomorrow, my mission is to build, photograph and re-list the PM mansion. I have listed it about 10 times with the intention of taking photos during the listing but had to end each listing early because I just never get round to taking pictures Blush. Now it must go!! I've also got a friend's buggy that is taking up space whilst waiting to be sold so will also add that to my urgent list Grin.

LineRunner · 20/07/2012 14:59

What's good to list that you'd normally have to pay for? Toys, obviously - anything else?

DontEatTheVolesKids · 20/07/2012 17:17

School stuff will sell well now, lunchboxes & uniform, especially younger primary sizes. Scouts-Brownies-Guides pack holiday spare uniform. Wet suits, summer clothes.

I got to silver Smile!

How is everyone else getting on?

milk · 23/07/2012 07:58

None of my items are selling :( My eBay luck seems to have run out :(

milk · 23/07/2012 08:04

I have become a crazy woman who keeps pressing F5, waiting for my items to get bids :P

milk · 23/07/2012 09:30

It sold Grin That does make me happy indeed :)

mygirllollipop · 23/07/2012 13:20

Forgot to update that we have now moved and our total was around £715 Shock. My mam has just given me 3 bin bags of ladies clothes to put on ebay.

alemci · 23/07/2012 13:36

you know when you have money in the paypal account, should it offset when you buy something on Ebay or do you have to ask them to do this. I was given some money back from a seller but it is still sitting in my pp account even though i have bought some other things on ebay.

I have the odd thing on ebay this week but a bit lazy about it and not good at photos and putting them on computer

Mirage2012Olympics · 23/07/2012 14:56

I'm going to join you-I have a stack of stuff to sell and a real cash flow problem at the minute.

Does anyone know how often the free listing weekends are coming up at the minute? I got a few things on on Saturday, but none yesterday.

PurpleFrog · 23/07/2012 18:32

If I include a couple of Gumtree sales I am around £15 short of silver at the moment! Not sure I'll manage to make that from the 3 listings that finish on Wednesday, though! However, one of my 3 remaining Gumtree listings may give results. Grin

Mirage2012Olympics - this year the free listing weekends have been about every 2 or 3 weeks, with special long ones coinciding with Easter and the Jubilee. You can see the previous announcements here.

DontEatTheVolesKids · 23/07/2012 19:12

I would say FLW come up every 2-3 weeks right now.
August is a lousy month to sell most things, though. Folk are on holiday, not many buyers about. School stuff excepted.

Shouldn't we have a new thread, this is summer only, right?

ps: I only got to bronze. But it's a £100 I wouldn't have had otherwise, so fine by me :).

Mirage2012Olympics · 24/07/2012 08:20

Thank you both.Smile.Now I've got the tedious job of going through all the DD's Cd's & DVD's to check them for faults.

I'm wobbling about selling now or hanging on,but I need the money now.A lot of mine is horse stuff which seems to go well all year round.[hopefully].

PurpleFrog · 24/07/2012 09:47

Mirage2012Olympics - if the weather continues to be bad, there may be some desperate parents wanting to buy DVDs in August! (Assuming you have family DVDs to sell of course. Grin)

Mirage2012Olympics · 25/07/2012 14:11

I'm amazed.I put on a pair of jodphur clips, which had a bit of tarnish due to the tack shed being damp, and described the fault, put them on at 10p,just to get rid-they are up to £1.30 so far.I wonder if we have any more lurking about?

LineRunner · 25/07/2012 17:37

I was just going to say that ebay seems to have completely died!

RecursiveMoon · 27/07/2012 12:20

Does anyone know what PayPal charge you if you give a buyer a partial refund, e.g. if the postage was cheaper than you expected?

LineRunnerSpartanNaked · 27/07/2012 12:26

I did this and it was (apparently) free.

Unless anyone knows different?
