My DD has bulimia.

As the title really. My dd has bulimia. I found out on the 5th November 2013 and she's been in a eating disorder unit since.
Currently, she weighs 3st 4 and last Wednesday she had a nasal-gastric drip inserted as she wasn't eating.
I am looking for advice and hands to hold please. I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place.
How can I not blame myself?

She can be fed more when her body can process food better. At the moment, what she gets is all she can process. If she has reached 4st this week, she may be able to have 4 tube feeds a day instead of 3. If she can have that then she will gain more weight.
The doctors are very careful. They don't want to do any more damage to her body. They update me regularly and they tell me that what they are doing is good because it is doing xyz for her.
I am putting all my faith in the doctors ye. I have to because if I don't, I don't think I could carry on.
I'm doing ok. I am tired. I am running on empty and have been for a while now.

I'm glad that they are keeping you well informed and that they should be able to give her another feed per day soon. It's good to trust them, and am glad they are careful.

The older, more experienced doctors have a much better manner than recently qualified doctors. I don't know why that is but it's something I've found out.
There is a meeting, every other month to discuss treatment etc. The last one should have been in March but no one could do the same date as eachother. I always make room, the doctors can't reschedule things.

sounds like it's all under control and a good plan put in place.
I can not imagine how nerve wrecking it must be though.
Do look after yourself sweetheart and remember just because it's tough it doesn't mean you can't find or do things that make you happy!

She's hit 4st! At weigh in today, she weighed in at 4st 1.

4 pounds/2kg in a week! So happy she has gained weight again, and is over that first milestone.
Hope you are able to sleep better now, and your DD will soon have the strength to do some crafts.

It feels like a weight has been lifted. I can begin to relax and stop looking for signs that she may be loosing because i know the tubes working.
Her meals are being increased to 4 feeds a day. This is good as it means gain will hopefully increase.

Yes and it's a good sign that the doctors consider her body can take/process the extra food intake without it harming her. I hope she will gain weight at a faster weight too, and the 5 stone milestone will be passed in a few weeks.

DD is really well today. She's not as lethargic and her concentration level is improving. She's watching films, reading etc and following the plot for longer.

The weather here is lovely. Really nice spring weather .

All sounds good, happy to hear all this.
We are at coast for a few days. I am finding some of it a bit distressing (DD has upped her activity level and keeps running off. Also seeing her cuts in the warm weather. Other things too. But, on the whole it is OK and we are having a kind of a holiday.

had a meltdown on Saturday as still no moving date, and really worried about DS5's school place (will find out on 16th) etc.

but we'll have a 4D scan tomorrow which is exciting, added benefit of a few childfree hours!

I don't mind her running and rock hopping if she eats proper meals, but she hasn't been. I had a meltdown myself this morning as DD2 and DH have been enabling the ED behaviour, and I am supposed to be having a holiday from managing it and watching out, but felt I had to step in. Got lots of jibing and argument from DH. (DDs had run off the into the distance by this point). We did all sit and discuss it a bit and the afternoon was much better on that front.

This isn't a holiday we've booked, DH had a job nearby for a few months and so rented a little flat, and we're just using the end of the lease/rental. Have some plans for later in year but not booked yet and am now thinking I can't take the distress of being away from home with ED goings on, so not sure what to do about it.

Your DH needs to help you Ye, you can't do it all alone. He shouldn't enable the ed behaviour and he should ask your other dd to stop. It is not just his break - it is yours too.
I am glad you managed to talk with him and that the afternoon was better.
I don't know about booking a holiday somewhere a long way from home. Would you like a change of scenery? It's tricky really because your in the routine that your dd prefers at home and if you go away, that could be forgotten by others (not you) and distress may be caused.
