pez I had tons of cramping big from my bfp at 11dpo until about week 5-6. Very normal. Good luck with the beta.

Snorkmaiden85 · 10/04/2017 21:40

kwick i love Benji! I have an ikea golden lab puppy that I couldn't resist, known as 'the puppy' (Benji is a much better name! Must try harder...) Hope you are surviving the conference, Benji will be waiting for you when you get home :)

pez good luck tomorrow!

phoenix thanks, I love the moomins! Bit jealous of your daughter's snorkmaiden to be honest ;)

Is anyone else watching Line of Duty? Just caught up on last night's, edge of your seat stuff! Now onto Broadchurch in a Monday night tv crime drama extravaganza :D

(Just realised everything in that photo is ikea. I live 10 minutes walk from ikea and have a legitimate problem.... )

Pez82 · 10/04/2017 21:50

Thank you karen, I guess I cramped so much during implantation that I will be prone to some cramping. it's so hard not to worry!!

PhoenixMama · 10/04/2017 21:56

Great news Cazinge Yippee!!!

Caution DD is 7 (going on 30!) I know what you mean about weight but I'm borderline and I'm going for it. My understanding is underweight has more issues (I hold onto that sometimes - is that bad?)

So excited for you Pez good luck tomorrow!

And Pickle & Stork I read that as football club too!

Everhopeful76 · 10/04/2017 21:57

snork should b cycling in Jun, so may well b similar time to you. Sorry missed your post..

Snorkmaiden85 · 10/04/2017 21:59

Ps phoenix, is May when you are doing a cycle? I know how you feel, I'm unbelievably impatient, especially now it's looking like June for me. Just thinking what good practice all this waiting is for future two week waits! We'll be pros :) (who am I kidding, I'm gonna lose. my. mind). Hope your daughter is feeling better now?

pickle162 · 11/04/2017 06:52

Good luck pez xx

witchmountain · 11/04/2017 07:53

Good luck Pez! Should be fine by the sound of your sticks!

Cazinge fingers crossed for the embryos, inside and out.

Which reminds me Stork, I'm glad Wales asked about your remaining embryos. I was a bit confused about why they seemed to have suddenly disappeared but I didn't want to make it worse by asking at the time. Hope your review with Care today helps you decide on next steps.

Late sorry you're having such a hard time. How did it go when you phoned the clinic yesterday? I had the same questions as Stork about why the next try would be the last one? Not that it shouldn't be if thats where you decided to draw the line, of course, and it does have to be drawn somewhere. The way I've translated the stats into my head means I'm expecting to have to have maybe three goes to get an embryo to stick, possibly more. Not kidding myself that I won't be gutted if it doesn't work first time though. And broke.

witchmountain · 11/04/2017 07:54

Waves to everyone I've missed. Have you got another scan this week karen?

PhoenixMama · 11/04/2017 10:31

Good luck Pez!

Snork Yes May is the plan... feeling a little panicked now. Struggling to juggle work, my final appointments and money at the moment. Keep reminding myself this is all part of the process. Could do without the rollercoaster today!

Pez82 · 11/04/2017 10:48

I should get my results before 3.30pm. They told me that if levels are below 50 I would need to go back for another test but if above that, the next appointment would be the viability scan in 2 weeks.
My FRER was still dark this morning

Munrowalker · 11/04/2017 11:19

Wow @pez how exciting!!!

StorkAhoy · 11/04/2017 12:40

uber exciting Pez!

witch so just got back from my review with Care. Seems that the other two embryos were only at 2 and 3 cells respectively at day 3, so they were on their way out, hence no more incubation time.

In other news Care's response to my potential next round is short protocol, and double up on the same drugs. Nothing about steroids, or antibiotics. Simply that they expected it to be my eggs, age and weight that's the prob (bmi 30 at mo) I tried to lead the conversation back to the environment that the embys are being put into, i.e. What else can we do to increase chances of implantation and nothing, nadder, zilch from them in terms of ideas.

So care are £1.5k more expensive on ivf, added to that they have no donors at the moment, so I would need to go to esb... so a cycle with them will be at least £2.5k more than in Wales.... but care is so close to me! Argh!

I'm disappointed that they didn't have the same advice as Wales. As now I have two very different protocol plans, care clearly have a way of doing things and stick with it. Wales seem to want to try Diderot this begs to get a different result.

So hard to know what to do.

StorkAhoy · 11/04/2017 12:40

Diderot this begs? Meant different things!

Pez82 · 11/04/2017 14:06

Ah ah I wondered about the literature reference!

I think it will feel more like a fresh start to move clinics and will give you a new momentum. Shame about the distance though. I'm not sure why they think more drugs would be good as you had already produced lots of eggs on your last short protocol.

StorkAhoy · 11/04/2017 14:20

Ha!

Who knows pez?! I mean they are one of the best in the country, but on long protocol I got 18 eggs, on short, I got 8. The eggs in both were the same standard, i.e. Only 2 worthy of implantation, so they say let's go for even more eggs to get bigger numbers, where as Wales are saying, let's change everything and hope for different quality.

Money alone has pretty much made up my mind though, may as well give it a whirl elsewhere for my final go around with my eggs before I start looking at using someone else's!

Munrowalker · 11/04/2017 14:28

@stork sounds like a real big decision to make but when you talk about Wales there is more excitement in your text! It seems to me that Wales would give you a chance to try something new and would feel like a new chance if that makes sense?

witchmountain · 11/04/2017 14:39

By the sounds of it, if it didn't work and you'd tried Wales you'd be thinking at least you'd tried something else. Whereas if you stick with Care and it doesn't work you'll kick yourself for not trying something else?

Pez82 · 11/04/2017 15:03

I would agree with witch that you might kick yourself if you stay with Care and it doesn't work. I think a change is good.

So, I got a positive beta!!! Levels are at 181.
I'm now booked for my early pregnancy scan on 27th April. A new countdown starts ⌚️

Munrowalker · 11/04/2017 15:08

Fabby new @pez
County down to scam is way more exciting 🤗

witchmountain · 11/04/2017 15:22

Yay Pez!!

Munrowalker · 11/04/2017 15:44

Haha I clearly meant scan not scam!

Bear1980 · 11/04/2017 16:04

Woo hoo pez so excited for you.

stork how far away is it? Could you use a local clinic for monitoring and just go to the other for your actual treatment sessions. Sounds like you would prefer to change it is just the distance putting you off. I think if you are paying all that you should go where feels most right for you. The logistics will work out somehow

PhoenixMama · 11/04/2017 17:01

Whooooooohoooooo Pez You are knocked up!
