This thread is for anyone trying to conceive... or thinking about doing so through donor IUI or donor IVF. Nothing TMI - feel free to join, we are a lovely group here to support and help keep the cray-cray away!

Sounds like you feel a bit better now that you have a plan pez 🤞🏻 for Tuesday.

Munro i didn't realise you were also in Scotland I am in Fife.

Bear1980 · 25/03/2017 16:01

Introduction: I am 36, single and waiting to start my first IUI in May. Not much more to say that that really Blush

Munrowalker · 25/03/2017 16:15

Ooohhhh shoes, there's nowhere better than the Highlands when the sun is shining like today! There's still snow on the hills and the beaches are beautiful, clean and people free 😎
I moved here 8 years ago and apart from the lack of donor sperm (hence the wait) I wouldn't change a thing!

Munrowalker · 25/03/2017 16:17

Yay bear!!!! A Scotland meetup! ☺
We could totally be visitScotland reps 😂😂😂

Munrowalker · 25/03/2017 16:18

There is no FC in Highland, hence having to travel to Aberdeen for treatment....totally sucks as it's a 5-6 hr round trip!

MamaSloth · 25/03/2017 16:27

Hi ladies
I'm new here!
I'm 34 and single. I'm just at the start of my baby making journey Smile
I'm hopefully going to start ICI using donor sperm from Cryos in Denmark later on in the year. First, I need to move house and lose some weight! I want to get started by December at the latest so if nothing has happened by then I can start IVF next summer.
At the mo, I'm just tracking BBT and CM so that I can get a clear picture of when I'm ovulating.

MamaSloth · 25/03/2017 16:28

And I'm another one in team Scotland!

Bear1980 · 25/03/2017 17:48

😂😂😂 munro and welcome mamasloth

Hopefully someday we can all meet up with our little bubbas in tow 😃

pickle162 · 25/03/2017 17:54

Welcome mamasloth good luck with your journey 🙂

Munrowalker · 25/03/2017 18:38

Hi mamasloth welcome to the gang!

TTC3years · 25/03/2017 18:44

Found you!!! My intro:

40, married. One naturally conceived PFB nearly 6. TTC number two since Sept 2013. Tests showed my AMH is less than 1. IVF failed October 2016 when my follicles collapsed before egg retrieval. Now going to clinic 60 miles away for egg donation if I ever finish the registration form. It's bloody complicated!!!!

kwick · 25/03/2017 19:12

Welcome @MamaSloth !!!

I am up for a Highlands trip too!!!

Hi all!

stork here!

38, single, from Buckinghamshire!
Ivf round one, Nov2016:
18 eggs, 10 fertilised, one implanted at 5days, zero frosties, bfn.

Ivf round two, Mar2017:
8 eggs, 4 fertilised, two implanted at 3 days, zero frosties, currently 12dp3dt and HPTs showing bfn.....

If this doesn't work, seriously considering embryo adoption or, egg/sperm donation.

Big believer in acupuncture, reiki, reflexology, visualisation... and oh you name it!

pickle162 · 25/03/2017 20:07

Keeping everything crossed stork 🤞
My clinic told me not to test until 18days AFTER iui so not even tww just bloody long, sure AF will have come way before that if negative....but suppose when had medicated cycle I have to get all the triggers etc out of system

CautionHormone · 25/03/2017 20:14

My into:
25, single, from Northamptonshire, just had laparoscopic surgery on Wednesday where they found endometriosis & a 3cm cyst on my Fallopian tube, both of which have now been removed... Hoping to go forward with my plans within the next couple of months, looking to have my first consult at CRGW in Wales either end of April/May!

Pez I'm so glad there's now a plan in place and your minds been put at rest a bit. I'm glad Kwick was there with you... How lovely! I'm definitely up for a meet too - it's been a long time coming, I reckon!

pickle162 · 25/03/2017 20:26

Ooh glad your looking into booking your first consultation caution you won't want it to stop when u start 😊

HopingForALittleOne · 25/03/2017 20:47

I should add I was south London based but currently in North West as I have got painful sciatica which isn't going and family helping me. I will be looking to move up North permanently in the next couple of months.

I would be up for a highlands meet :)

Karen not too many symptoms at moment. (.)(.)s are quite sore and sensitive and I get a bit of nausea in morning but only occasionally. I cry when I'm sick so not looking forward to morning sickness when (if) it kicks in. How about you? Do you feel pregnant yet? I still take pregnancy tests every 3/4 days to just check as I can't quite believe it. I have my viability scan on the 4th April xx

Karendvm · 25/03/2017 20:58

hoping I'm on anti nausea meds as I was so dizzy I was falling over at work. Sore breasts, tired. Can't eat greasy food. Weepy. Things kinda come and go and I worry when the symptoms aren't as strong. Last time with my mmc I remember all of a sudden feeling like the fog had lifted. Just pretty worried I guess. Not sure how I'd go through everything all over again after everything I've been through in the last year.

witchmountain · 25/03/2017 22:22

Pez glad the outlook is looking brighter!

Karen whereabouts in Canada are you? I've been to Toronto and Montreal for work and Vancouver and Whistler for pleasure, but all were fleeting visits.

We can have a thread tour!

Karendvm · 26/03/2017 00:16

witch I'm in southeastern Ontario, about an hour from the border with the states. It's flat boring country. I miss the ocean. I miss home. Miss my family. I think being pregnant makes it worse. If I can move home I will but jobs are hard to find.

taydex · 26/03/2017 08:48

Hola ladies

Long time no chat, just thought I'd pop by and say hi (I was thinking of you all as it's mother's day today). I've not caught up with all the thread yet but will try to. I hope you are all well and your journeys (hate that word/phrase but hey ho) are being kind to you.

If it's not inappropriate I'd love to come join you for a meet up (preferably over with Karen in Canada!!!).

Quick intro for those of you that don't know me. Same sex couple, 5 rounds of IUI (4 medicated, 1 not, plus another 2 where they cocked up drugs and I ovulated too early). Now mum to amazing baby girl who is 5 months old already (where does the time go?!).

TD x

pickle162 · 26/03/2017 08:56

TTTTTAAAAAAYYYYYDDDEEEEEX Grin
5 months wow where did that go???? Hope your gorgeous little girl is doing well and your both enjoying mummy's and have the best 1st mummy's day.
Of course you def need to come to the meet up :)
Lovely to hear from you sweetie xx

witchmountain · 26/03/2017 09:19

Karen I'm sure being pregnant would make it harder - you want to settle somewhere and feeling at home makes such a difference. I remember one of the Canadians I worked with over there talking about going to see her dad, who was in Canada, and it was a five hour flight - those kinds of distances are hard to imagine here - 5 hours gets us most of the way to other continents! I can empathise about missing the sea, I've never lived that close but I did used to be in easier reach than I am now.

Funnily enough Taydex I just came on intending to wish you happy Mothering Sunday and they rest of us happy mothers to be Sunday!

Pez82 · 26/03/2017 09:50

Happy Mother's Day Taydex!! In my memory you were one of those miraculous 1st time lucky at IUI... I joined the thread just a few weeks before you gave birth so that would explain 😉

Welcome mamasloth!

Late, amazing news! I didn't realise they could freeze them so quickly after fertilisation.

Off to the clinic again with my trousers open under my coat, I really don't want to put any pressure on those 17 follicles! I slept much better last night (even if an hour less) and now I just want to fast forward to Tuesday morning! My (.)(.)s have also grown overnight eeek
I won't feel completely relaxed until the magic potion has arrived (which won't be until after my EC anyway) but just hoping I don't get terribly unlucky again

Have a great Sunday everyone!
