Totally snork I brought 180 folic acid I think-I've got about 70 left I think but will continue for (fingers crossed) pregnancy.
18days left if pill Grin
Love my countdown app- I think that some of the countdowns are now on 2weeks and x days, 2 weeks sounds more doable than 3

I'm still catching up on thread but still love popping in and hearing about everyone and keeping my fingers crossed for more bfps.

lateim sorry honey, I know exactly how you feel.

I've been off thread and enjoying life and my garden, dare I say it, I may be getting a green thumb?

So yesterday I had my consult with CRGW in Wales over the phone. Well, how lovely. First to have a consultant actually read my file, (I spoke with her first in August, so she can't have remembered me!), and she was lovely, sympathetic and really reassuring.

She said there's loads that we can change on my next round including changing my meds to acidic rather than alkaline based, treating me with antibiotics post EC, and steroids to help with implantation.

She also asked why the FC didn't keep the other 2 x3 day embryos in the incubator (that I didn't have transferred) to day 5 to see if they could be frozen. And I didn't have an answer as Care wouldn't give me one.

She said given that I was young (first time I've been called Young during ivf!) and healthy with a good Amh there was no reason to be so downcast about my eggs, and that to her it seems like there's lots that can be done to change things.

I have my review with Care FC on Tuesday, so shall see what they are suggesting treatment wise and base my decision on that.

That sounds really positive stork be interesting to see what care say but those people sound really enthusiastic and joint care planning.
I'm with care too but mine was an independent clinic for many years and they only merged with care a year back as it was either merge or be a competitor. I really like them but I think it really does depend on the staff

That sounds really positive Stork and I can sense a lot of excitation in your words.
I was on antibiotics for 2 days after EC, I thought that was a standard thing. I started baby aspirin the day after EC and pineapple the day of ET. I also drink lots of fresh ginger and lemon juice hot steepers - and I did a high protein low carb diet the whole week (lots of grains, pulses and pistachio and Brazil nuts and barely no gluten). Not sure if any of this made a difference but I'm happy I've done this.

pez it's nice to have some hope! And a second opinion! Food wise, you and I were the sam, pretty much exactly. Baby aspirin no, but will next time as My current clinic say not to, but interestingly Cyprus clinic say you should take it before and after. Antibiotics not standard, it's quite an American thing I think according to my reading, however Wales was saying there are strong studies showing the benefits of it, so they would prescribe them.

pickle it does depend on the culture. The amount of times I've g Me to the fc and they don't know anything about me... it's really a case of c'mon guys the file is right there, take 30secs to browse it would you!

I do feel that no matter the clinic, individuals really have to take ownership of their own treatment. So many times I had to remind the doctor about things that were on my file. Doctors don't like to be challenged but this is too important to leave any more part to luck than is necessary. I know one doctor in particular told me things that didn't make any sense to me and I'm glad I had done my research before hand.

I'm 8 weeks on Monday feeling a little more relaxed as each day goes on.

Pez I was really nervous at first but both mine second bfps and yours are a lot stronger than my first ones so stay positive. Xxxxx

You sound a lot more positive than what you have done, lovely Smile CRGW sounds like the way forward - they sound like they know what they're doing, and that they can help you loads more... I'm glad I made the decision to go with them and not CARE! Not that I've got anything against CARE...

Pez your FRER is amazing!! That's such good news, you must be so (cautiously) happy!! I'm happy for you, you so deserve this!!

Pez, Pickle & Ever - I guess you're right in terms of IUI v IVF. It won't hurt to try IUI first, seeing as I'm quite young and having had recent surgery to have the endo & cyst removed, that could've helped my chances I guess? More so than if I'd of left it, anyway!
I've already set a goal of 4 IUI's in my head anyways, and if it doesn't work to then move onto IVF, so I may just stick to my original plan.

Munro the beaches your at look gorgeous. I'm jealous! Wink

All checked in and unpacked in hotel... first event starts at 6.30... flipping do not have the energy for this... leg and foot have been playing up... I am going to promise myself I can slink off early if I do not feel up to it.

I left Benji at home... wish I had brought him now...

Really dredding bumping into one of the delegates - he has caused me so much stress and I know he hates my guts... oh well will just have to play it cool

Definitely sneak off to bed and get room service if you need to recover. Pick and choose the bits most important to you? Conferences are rarely as amazing as they promise.
