Great news Pez! Fingers crossed you are officially pregnant by the time we meet!! Also fingers crossed for another one, or even two, tomorrow, that did happen for me the first time around.

Pickle they way it was explained to me is that once cell division gets going, it reaches the stage of being a ball of cells and then what distinguishes a blastocyst is that the cells have started to differentiate - some line up around the outside to form what will become the placenta and the rest will go on to form the embryo in the middle. Morula is the earlier stage where it's still a ball of cells - the name comes from the latin for mulberry because that's what it looks like. They grade them based on how many cells there are, and how even they are. Not all clinics grade the same but there is some info here: www.fertilityfriends.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=117210.0

I did see some of the grades for my first round - they were good enough to freeze but I can't remember them. It's like getting results for an exam you couldn't revise for though! I remember thinking "but I want As!".

pickle - hoping for EC on Weds assuming follicles have grown enough at scan tomorrow. Feel 'full' all the time now so hoping this is a good sign!

Also great that your beta is only a week on Tuesday - your dreaded TWOT has been cut short - that must be a huge relief too I take it you're not going to test...?!

Good luck for Wednesday cazinge!! A few people have said before EC they feel "full" so it seems to be completely normal I think stork referred to feeling like a "pack mule"

Pickle I was planning on doing iui at Stork starting in May but then they said they thought I should do IVF so I had a wobble. Not sure where I'll do it yet but am sticking with IUI for a couple of tries.

My DD (7) just suddenly started asking me a LOAD of questions about where babies come from and how their made. It was a really in depth conversation (she took 6 pages of notes on post its! lol) but she now knows about the natural way (which she knew about before), IVF, IUI, donor sperm & eggs, adoption, conception, how a baby grows and miscarriage. Its so weird, its like she knows what I'm planning (I haven't uttered a peep while she's been around). She even went as far as to order me to make a baby! She's been asking for a sibling since she was 3 so if it happens it will make her so incredibly happy. I'm so afraid to be too hopeful... guess we'll see...

pez that's super news. You did better than I and have a Frostie! Just cherish what's inside you, try not to dwell on those that didn't grow a you would have wished, I know I've dwelled over much in the last week on that.

So I went on a course back in Feb and sent in my travel claim straight away via email-everyone else has got their money back (right at beginning of march I found out tonight) and I am yet to get my £214 back 😡
I have replied to an email tonight from the secretary as it seems if I write her email they don't get to her. I actually have an out of office this time so fingers crossed. Turns out she's not in the office till Thursday!!!! Jeez why is nothing ever simple!!!!! Grrrr

Phoenix I find that rather lovely that your daughter is asking about babies,they are often so in tune with what's going on. One of my (pretend) nieces often tells me to wish on the stars for a baby (knows absolutely nothing about my plans and her mum isn't overly enamoured about my plans so wouldn't talk about it -she's the only one that is negative but also very old fashioned in her views and doesn't approve of a lot of things that even vaguely stray from 'the norm' so I try not to take offence-she thinks I should JUST find a man🙄)

Thank you all. It feels a bit surreal but at the same time I think I'm relieved this ivf cycle is now over and all is in the power of Mother Nature. I really really hope it works this time and that we all get there very soon

Stork, it's so hard not to dwell on things, we probably all do it after a failed cycle even if we know that statistically only a few cycles are successful (I do understand this now when I see I only got 2 blastocysts from 11 mature eggs). Have you decided what your next step is going to be? New clinic?

Ah :) I thought I'd used my 2/52 etc for time again but couldn't see what I'd done. We aren't allowed to write ANY medical abbreviations at work now so I think my hands are rebelling 😁 (not that I ever wrote u or ur in the notes 😂)

Phoenix. How lovely that you could explain to your DD about all the different options. Bet she didn't even bat an eyelid. Kids are so much more open and honest.

pickle I have a scan on Tuesday. Nervous because this is when I lost the last one. It what will be will be. My appetite has left me and all I want is hamburgers. Had a great nap today, temperatures were high enough so I could leave the back door open and the dogs could play and leave me to sleep. Lol.

I had a really restful weekend - we did loads down the allotment yesterday... which my green fingers extended to making babies...

Ooohhhh kwick your allotment looks fabulous. I wish we had some outdoor space to grow things. We only have a tiny patio. Can't complain though as we are right on the beach.
For those that have done IUI....I am 4 days post IUI and I'm still a bit sore and crappy. Is this normal?

Karen good luck tomorrow. It must be so nerve wracking. Hoping the napping is a good sign (sorry, symptom spotting of your behalf probably not helpful).

Stuck on hold to the council for the third time trying to order extra key fobs for the front door. First time they sent me the keys for the previous set of doors (replaced over two months ago). Second time they sent random keys I don't even recognise (and the wrong number of them). And now I have to get off hold after 35 mins and go to a meeting. Grrrr.
