Tour de France - This Friday!

Okay, time to clip in, or out...fill those bidons, and get our merde together.....we roll out from Wonderful Copenhagen for the biggest push bike competition on the planet.
Not sure where velogames are actually up to, but nevertheless we go on Friday. Will set up the league later today. Time to consider options........and who we will curse with selections...will post the link shortly..Bike

Thanks. I'm laid up in bed with Covid so will make my selection under the influence of Night Nurse later. It can't be any worse than my Giro team, half of whom didn't finish!!

Bonjour! I think velogames is ready although it has a very odd title that doesn't mention tours, or France. Will pick a team later, Pog, Rog or neither, I don't know yet.

I’m so excited. Friend has nipped off to Copenhagen today to watch the start - I couldn’t really justify the cost but will be glued to GCN for the next three weeks.

It's hard to see anyone other than Pogačar winning, barring, of course, accidents. But then things happen, and it is a team sport after all.

Bit disappointed for Cavendish. And I think his team are being a bit stupid. He's virtually guaranteed to win a couple of stages, making history and lots of publicity for them. He would even be in with another chance of the Green.

Ah the league name has defaulted to Mumsnet Mayhem ( I recall this from previous tours) so that's the league we are entered into.....I'm sure...

Hello all!!

I've been MIA from the cycling threads for a while, but spotted this in active and am place marking so I can chip in on this one every now and then.

I'm not going to join Velogames this year having won it two years running in the past I really should give the rest of you a chance Wink I won't have time to check out runners and riders.

It's a virtual tour Just , on line. You make selections on a budget and enter your 'team' of 9 riders. And join the MN League, or any others you'd like. Its a bit of fun and an added slight intrigue....
if you google Velogames it will come up with the site and the Tour is called VELOGAME 2022. ( it cant be called Tour de France for copyright reasons.). Log in and make your choices.

For those who are new to Velogames, we tend as a group to curse riders. Pick them for your team = they fall off.
Choose carefully with this in mind.

On an other note DrTwo will probs not be joining the peloton this time. He has current health matters which is distracting him, but he wishes to pass on greetings and apols. He is a very long standing peloton member, and correctly identified G as a tour leader/winner long before anyone else did. Which he occasionally reminds us of Grin . Am sure best wishes go to him.

Eddy , I'm not sure why this isn't working for you. The code number is correct and the name Mumsnet Mayhem is def us.

I'd think its a site issue. I'll mail the site and point this out to them, really sorry.

I've mailed [email protected] to point out this problem, that new teams are unable to register in the league using the code. Will report back asap.

I'd normally claim mea culpa in these circs but I'm not seeing how the problem has arisen.
