The Piano

expatinscotland · 19/09/2005 22:16

'Before Sunset'. WTF was that all about? I dunno, b/c we turned it off after about half an hour of torture.

kid · 19/09/2005 22:17

Sabre Tooth, if you don't believe me, I dare you to watch it.

stitch · 19/09/2005 22:17

I'm so with you Aimsmum. DS1 and I sat and watched the film and like you waited and waited for something to happen.

And then what happened? Absolutely NOTHING!

There's 101 hours I'll never get back.

What it wasn't that long?

QueenOfQuotes · 19/09/2005 22:18

oh gosh I LOVED Lord of the Rings, thought they were fantastic

JoolsToo · 19/09/2005 22:20

While you were sleeping and other such banal story lines

colditz · 19/09/2005 22:20

There's Something About Mary

expatinscotland · 19/09/2005 22:21

Sideways.

Wish I had watched it longways - lying prone - so I could have at least slept through it more comfortably.

colditz · 19/09/2005 22:22

Oh yes, Bridget Jones.

they completely destroyed the whole point of the story.

but I loved AI

Love Actually.

Piss Actually.

expatinscotland · 19/09/2005 22:24

Notting Hill.

Had to turn that off.

Ditto 'Three Kings'. I even went out for a smoke break during that, hoping it'd improve when I came back.

Ended up smoking half a pack.

'Titanic'. Leo di Caprio. 'Nuff said.

tabitha · 19/09/2005 22:27

The Doors with Val Kilmer - I've never watched such excrutiatingly boring keech in my life. And the really sad thing is that I was so looking forward to seeing it as well.

MrsSpoon · 19/09/2005 22:27

Agree about Sideways - switched it off and took is backways.

The Tommy Knockers - what a load of pants

Spanglish - yawn.

Nevada · 19/09/2005 22:28

Titanic

Over-hyped, over-emotional American tosh that changed the true story.

JoolsToo · 19/09/2005 22:28

I agree about Titanic - did you ever see ' A Night to Remember' and old b/w version of the Titanic disaster? far superior - no schmaltz

I hate all girly, weepy, lovey, dovey movies - yuk!

tabitha · 19/09/2005 22:29

But I loved AI - just noticed that some of you have mentioned this here and CANNOT believe it. I thought it was brilliant.

flamesparrow · 19/09/2005 22:29

Queen of the Damned

Session 9

There's Something About Mary for me too - never quite got all the hype.

Never sat through a whole Austin Powers film either (despite a love of Seth Green)... Just the adverts made me cringe.
