Hi Craicnetters!

I was looking for the other thread and see it's fallen way down the list so I decided to make a new one for all our daily musings ☘️

Miriam O Callaghan's outfit on Prime Time?

I’ve interrupted the book awards to see this outfit on +1 so it better be good 😂

Miriam O Callaghan's outfit on Prime Time?

What about it?
I didn’t watch it.

I looked it up on the Player. Am I missing something? She's just wearing a frilly blouse and a black leather jacket. I was expecting something very outrageous or risqué.

There are wee daffodils / narcissi blooming on the grassy median on the N11. 😮
I spotted them as I was driving to Avoca in Kilmacanogue Wicklow yesterday.

LadyEloise1 · 13/12/2025 12:37

With the world in a state of chassis and all the doom and gloom and sadness in the Irish and world news it was lovely to see them.

Apileofballyhoo · 13/12/2025 20:00

It was a kind of tulle/net skirt and black leather biker jacket. Jacket and blouse didn't look too bad behind the desk, just more like a pub jacket or something I suppose. It was more the jacket, skirt and boots. Maybe she was off out to a party afterwards.

Saw that “live” - actually watching the news @JaneJefferwhich is a rarity for me. Loved it.

eggandonion · 18/12/2025 15:20

Paul is a national treasure. Miriam sometimes looks as if she has worn clothes from a daughters wardrobe. Im fascinated by the incredibly high shoes the news ladies and sports ladies wear. I'd fall over.

JaneJeffer · 18/12/2025 16:17

I reckon they walk onto the middle of the slippy, shiny floor in their bare feet and then put the shoes on.

I would need some sort of frame to hold me up. I love criticising them and weather forecasters. In my bobbly jumper and leggings and slippers 😁

Ohhh !
I’ve seen Miriam in a hairdressers I went to once, walking around in her bare feet.
She’s very tall.

eggandonion · 18/12/2025 21:21

I know Miriams sister who is very tall too but less glamorous. Big Jim the brother is very tall too.
My mil likes people to be tall. She likes women to have feet under size 4.

LadyEloise1 · 20/12/2025 15:54

So many heartbreaking stories in the news at the moment.
Child cruelty- Those 6 children, abused physically and emotionally by their parents.
The Belfast man, found dead in the Phoenix Park in mid November 2023 but not identified til a year later, despite having 9 pieces of identification on his person.
Some detective work there. ☹️
His family are, quite rightly, devastated.

eggandonion · 20/12/2025 16:34

The News is a hard thing to watch.

eggandonion · 01/01/2026 23:47

Awful bad news this year too. Hope everyone has a good Christmas and people know what day it is. Something day the somethingth of January.

FuzzyCaoraDhubh · 02/01/2026 11:00

Happy New Year, everyone!

The fire at the ski resort in Switzerland is absolutely awful. A terrible loss of life.

Taytocrisps · 02/01/2026 11:06

Yes, it's just awful Fuzzy. I'm of an age that I remember the Stardust Fire. I can't believe it has happened again.

TwirlBar · 02/01/2026 11:25

Those poor, poor people, most of them so young. I can’t stop thinking about them and their families. I have teenagers too.
And yes, remembering the Stardust and this year is also the centenary of a terrible local cinema fire which claimed a similar numbers of lives. It’s terrifying how things can go so badly wrong in an instant.

FuzzyCaoraDhubh · 02/01/2026 12:08

I know. I found it really hard to read about it this morning. Two of our kids are in their early twenties. It makes you very fearful of their safety.

eggandonion · 02/01/2026 13:49

We have been thinking of places we have been which were in hindsight probably unsafe. Cellar bars are probably amongst them.

FuzzyCaoraDhubh · 02/01/2026 15:12

I agree. It makes you stop and think.
It's really upsetting.

DeanElderberry · 02/01/2026 15:44

It certainly makes me resolve to be more diligent at pointing out the exits from a place we hold meetings locally, and to always check where the exits are when I'm out myself.

Horrific.

LadyEloise1 · 02/01/2026 16:03

Dreadful fire in Switzerland, my heart goes out to those awaiting news of their loved ones. My older dd was in a nightclub a couple of years back in Harcourt Street - not Coppers- and she said there were licked chains on doors at the back to prevent access from the back.
Surely these places are checked at night without prior warning by fire safety officers ?????
