Gaillimh abu. It was squeaky bum time waiting for the final whistle. I was afraid Cork would snatch the win at the very end.

It's DH's 60th birthday on Tuesday so we went out to one of the city's best restaurants then to the pub/nightclub after. There were 17 of us and it was a lovely night. It was after 4.30am before I went to bed and I was up after 8am so took it handy today, my four guests for the weekend went home today.

I only drank at the meal then switched to water as I knew I'd be driving this morning. We got back to my house around 2.30am and stayed up chatting.

I got up early and got the bus into the city centre to get my car, then did a small shop in Aldi and was home for sometime before the first guest appeared.

I'm just after finishing the last of his birthday cake, I cannot resist fresh cream cake now I feel bloated and I'm going to his niece's debs in the next half hour. Tomorrow is his actual birthday and I we're going somewhere for dinner. I'll book something later.

There was a big turnout in Clarinbridge to welcome the Galway team home. There'll be some celebrating there well into the night. I'm heading to Galway on Wednesday for a few days and bringing my English friend.
