I was looking for the other thread and see it's fallen way down the list so I decided to make a new one for all our daily musings ☘️

Yep, it's absolutely still chilly - but lovely when you're in the car or sitting by a window!! I'm just so glad to have brightness after so many long dull days. Who knew simple daylight could be so powerful

My back garden is a sun trap, our solar panels are producing plenty of electricity these days.

Local kids are back rifling through our bins for cans and bottles (they won’t find any). I thought it was a novelty thing for them last year, the first time I caught them I told them not to touch our bins again, they relented for a few weeks but got back to it soon after.

Am I being over the top that it annoys me so much!!! Going to buy locks this week.

Another beautiful sunny day, it was warm in the car, think I'll sit out in my back garden and enjoy the sun while we have it. Not a cloud in the sky. On bright days like today I love checking the app to see how much electricity we're making. Best thing we ever installed.

I'm floored with a dose of a bad cold and coughing. Just back from the chemist after getting a steroid to add to the prescription for antibiotics I got on Friday.

The Central Bank spent €616,000 on a sculpture for their headquarters.
Apparently it cost more than double what was anticipated they were to pay.
It’s not a very nice sculpture, very emperor’s new clothes imo.
Who signed it off ?
That’s €616,000 of taxpayers money !

When children are waiting for operations and Child Mental Health services are stretched to the limit, children with special needs not getting the help they need.

The Children's Hospital overrun, the security hut, the bike shed, this sculpture……..
And no one is ever accountable when public money is wasted.
I despair.

We're as bad now as we were in the Haughey era, we learnt nothing. Absolutely no accountability. They are all in it for themselves.

My heart goes out to the whistleblower in the Grace case who described the nearly 2000 page investigation which cost €13 million (why?) as a complete waste of time.

It does seem pointless, doing the right thing.

Wet and damp all day, met three friends for lunch.

DH is catching up on some sleep since he got in from work earlier so it's delaying me packing for a trip up west and then another to Spain later next week.

what the fuck did I actually just read ... Conor McGregor wants to be president. I have obviously been in hibernation.

He announced that after visiting the White House and it had been rumoured for some time. Just look at the visitors he had at his pub earlier this week.

I cannot see him getting the required nominations.

Well we had the monk running for election so I can see McG going for president. He'll probably get some votes but not enough to win it.

I am so sick of the weather. And feel
sorry for the kids off school what can you do when it's so crap outside 😩 (don't come at me with "there's no such thing as bad weather just the wrong clothes")

Aw Julian Benson has died. Some people are lovely like him, some people are not lovely!
I want a list of presidential hopefuls, it's always a horrible spectacle!

I am sorry to hear of Julian Benson's passing. A genuinely lovely man 💐

So sad Julian Benson has died. Far too young 🥲
I watched the programme he and Dermot Bannon did (Room to Improve) on the house in Rathmines, bought for the families of those whose loved ones were in hospital being treated for Cystic Fibrosis.
Called Tranquility House it is a nice calm space for the families to rest, relax and recharge.

What a legacy he has left behind.

It's sad to see Julian died, he was lovely on Dancing With The Stars, very kind to everyone.
