GroceryAid School Essentials Grant 2024

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone applied for the GroceryAid School Essentials Grant this year for £150 per school age child towards school uniform?

If so, have you heard back yet?

I've been awarded the last 3 years and hate to admit, I do rely on it to help with school uniform costs so I'm worried we won't be awarded this year as they have changed their application process! Xx

I had much the same back too. At least they've registered our feedback. Just to sit and wait till Tuesday now. Xx

I feel their reply confirms payments will be received on Tuesdays as they are sent in 'batches' x

Mine says variable days whatever that means but I def think your right. We'll call you fbi strawbs from now on lol

Hi everyone been following this post for days I am in the same boat I applied last year and was awarded it applied again at 9am day of opening still waiting to hear or be paid I can’t lie I’m not very optimistic at all and I’m sick of checking every day! They should never have changed the way you applied I know some missed out but now people who applied straight away are going to miss out with this new system. I work for Tesco I don’t know anyone who has had it paid but not a lot of people from my work are eligible for it. Fingers crossed for you all and for myself times ticking now 😢

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone on here is from Tesco who have been paid the grant? As I haven't heard anything yet and starting to worry as most of you are too.
I don't know of anyone from tesco that received the grant.

I'm with Aldi. But wat I done last night I looked to see the date I had it last year and it was the end of July I had it last year so u never know girls xx

I honestly think the next day we will see people being paid is Tuesday. I think they process payments on a Friday x

I haven’t heard nothing yet either I’m with Co op and my sister works with me aswell we both applied sat together and she had hers last Tuesday , I’m hoping we all hear this Tuesday! I’m also with monzo and normally can see payments pending few days before I receive it and nothing yet not sure when it will show if a payment is pending for Tuesday tho.

I didn’t apply for this one, as I had applied for a carers grant through grocery aid. Has anyone ever had another grant through them? How much was awarded and how long did it take? Thank you x

I wonder are the batches going out in accordance with how many kids you applied for e.g. First batch - 1 child, 2nd batch - 2 children and then this next batch and the final batch for 3? Has anyone recieved it for 3 yet?

@DuchessDuck this is my partners first year applying and we haven’t had anything, we have 2 children.

I'm Tesco, had mine this Tuesday but I applied for 2, did you apply for 3 kids? Seems 1 child families had, then 2 child families this week?

Nope, I applied for 2 kids too! 😩 it seems like if that's the case I won't be receiving it then. Fingers crossed but doesn't seem likely.
