What are you spending your cost of living payment on?

I'm £200 in debt to my gas and electricity supplier so I'll be paying that off to hopefully build up credit over the summer months ready for the winter. The other £101 I don't know yet.

What are you doing with yours?

I'll be spending mine on living. It means I can buy food this month and not have to rely on food banks.

Mines going into savings. And from there, on the next electricity bill.

Rent arrears

Mine has gone into savings for now. But most likely will be spent on moving house once our landlord sells.

Mine will go straight on my gas and electric bills - I’m £600 in debt so it will help significantly with that.

Bills, clothes, school dinner money, a takeaway for the kids. Went in this morning and nearly gone now!

Mending the toilet.

Paying off my credit card most likely. Fed up with debt.

On rent

Trying to decide between fixing the downstairs loo (currently flushing by filling old milk cartons) and putting it towards s as replacement hot water tank so I can stop showering at the gym.

When is it due

It's paying the council tax this month and the rest towards gas and electricity bill. ..which is currently £350 a month.
Hoping to discuss that with them though as we just cannot afford it.

I don't get a cost of living payment

Food. We live very rurally and prices are astronomical. I come out of Tesco crying with worry every time I shop for us.

Paying this month's gas and electric bill, the rest of this month's council tax bill and hopefully have enough left to buy the rest of my dd's prom outfit.

My COL payment will go towards gas and electric as I'm on pre pay meters and want to get a head start for winter.

I'm going to try and save mine for emergencies.

I have no savings, and if anything were to go wrong (washing machine, car, etc), then I'm stuffed.

Paying the arrears on my gas electric (250) and the rest on food.

I was going to try to save it for emergencies now the weather's warming up but I've just paid more than it on a pair of glasses (bloody expensive lenses)

Hopefully I'll be able to see though and they will stop the permitted headaches I get working on a computer all day

Household bills. I feel very fortunate to get it, there are plenty of working poor who aren't entitled.

Got ours this morning. My car needs 4 new tyres sadly so it is going towards that.

I missed out on the COL payment by something like three days as we only recently started claiming UC, does anyone know if all three payments are based on the same assessment period?
