How can I make this? Absolutely desperately in need of websites that have same day cashout.
My rent has not gone out this morning because my gas and electric has gone through the roof and we have had other things go wrong too (death of a family member and costs to travel to be there ect).
Anyway can I have a list of ones that are known to pay the same day please or any other ideas.
Thanks

It's risky.

It’s not risky if you fully understand how it is done.

There are videos online to talk you through. If you sign up to of the matched betting sites I know profit accumulator had videos for talking you through each bookmakers opening offers and showing you exactly what to do.

Its about getting your mind around how it works.

Remember it isn’t gambling. It’s taking advantage of an offer

IncompleteSenten · 12/04/2023 11:31

Fingers crossed they can help.
It is really hard to get your hands on same day cash in a non dodgy way that doesn't leave you paying outrageous interest.
If you can't get the cash then your landlord has to wait.
They can't march in and chuck you out and would they really go through the lengthy and expensive eviction process over £200 a week or two late?

It's not great at all but if you have no other option that's what you'll need to do. Hopefully it won't come to that.

Calm1234 · 12/04/2023 11:32

If you’re also struggling with things such as food bills OP it could be worth looking at your local council and their ‘household support fund’.

Best of luck to you and your family.

Crumbelina · 12/04/2023 11:33

Don't learn matched betting today - it takes a bit of time to watch the videos and get the hang of it and you don't want to be doing it under pressure! I hope you manage to raise the money but when it's sorted have a Google for 'Team Profit' as they provide training and guides for match betting and will help you get to £500-1k. The service is completely free (they get their money through advertising).

dottiedodah · 12/04/2023 11:34

PJ rules. second the pawn shop! Got me out of a few scrapes here and there.Rates are better than loans from the bank.(Been regulated tightly) Do you have anyone you could ask ? Also notice you are a Teacher,I thought there may be a hardship helpline for you.

Feuillemille23 · 12/04/2023 11:35

I really feel for you, this is a rotten situation to be in, especially as you need the money so urgently.

With regards to the suggestion upthread, PeoplePerHour pays absolute pennies these days, besides which the approval process is long-winded now (same for Upwork, Freelancer and some of the others). And you won't have the money instantly, there's at LEAST a week now AFTER the client has paid. And I don't know about you, but I don't think I could make £200 from selling any of our possessions in a day, we've already sold pretty much anything we could! Having said that, if you have any old phones, laptops etc lying around, would it be worth seeing what your local CeX might give you for them?

I'm sure you've already done this, but have you looked at Moneysupermarket.com and the other comparison sites to see what interest rate you'd qualify for? There are some pre-approved loans which would definitely be cheaper than Payday loans. Or a 0% credit card? I'm guessing you've already tried your bank (and if your bank is anything like mine, the overdraft rates are now 40%, while the credit card interest rate is less than half that (still too high but better than 40%). There may also be credit unions or loan companies (NOT payday) that would be inclined to look kindly on you because of your profession, https://www.teacherscreditunion.co.uk/Loans is one that came up when I googled just now and they state they will lend between £100 to £30,000, interest rate is standard at 8.19%.

And just a thought, have you been in touch with Shelter to see if they can offer any advice with regards to the landlord? I'm guessing you've already tried any hardship/cost of living support that your employer, or your husband's employer, or your union, or any support the local council might have. And I wouldn't normally suggest this, but is there any leeway that your utilities providers could give you on your monthly payments that might allow you to scrape together the money you need for now, and then when it's not so pressing you can look at loans etc in a more considered way?

I genuinely hope you find a quick solution on this one.

So the risk is in doing incorrectly, which is not impossible.

It takes time initially but as there are videos to talk you through each specific offer it can only go wrong if you don’t do as the video says

Yes, you can make a mistake but if the race or the match hasn’t begun then it can also be put right if you check everything.

Are we allowed to help?

Bamboux · 12/04/2023 11:37

We pay for everything for the kids plus child maintenance for husbands son.

I'm confused... last week you were stressed because your ex paid child maintenance late, but you said on that thread that he otherwise pays on time.

What do you mean you 'pay for everything for the kids'?

You also said on that thread that you were overdrawn, but in this thread that you don't have access to an overdraft.

For fuck's sake.

PyjamaFan · 12/04/2023 11:39

I wanted to send my support to you OP, your situation sounds very difficult.

I used to be a landlord and had a tenant pay late a couple of times. I would not have minded at all had he contacted me about it and let me know when he could pay.

I think your ll is being unreasonable and actually, he can't do anything about rent being a day or two late. Although I do appreciate that you want to avoid that.

I hope you are able to resolve this.

anyolddinosaur · 12/04/2023 11:41

Now that the government support for energy bills has ended for most people direct debits are higher for most people. This will be an ongoing problem so you'll need to find away to permanently increase income or cut spending. Working on election day would help you deal with next month.

Cant add anything useful to the other suggestions.

Oatyhobnobs · 12/04/2023 11:42

Sharkyto · 12/04/2023 11:29

Electric bill and rent both coming out on 12th of the month when you’re both in jobs that typically pay at the end of the month? Very unusual, I’d swap your payment dates for a start. As someone who’s lived in extreme poverty, first rule is all important bills get paid on payday.

This is on to do list. Pay from husband was previously 12th so everything set up around that. Husbands pay has been unanimously dicked around lately, his payroll have been awful.

Some really really sensible suggestions here.
Obvious name change fail but I can’t do anything about that.
Im not eligible for education support as I have not been in post long enough.
Landlord very much still demanding remainder is paid today.
We transferred the majority first thing this morning.
Its so worrying

GruffaIo · 12/04/2023 11:42

@Bamboux appreciate the checking. Disappointing but not surprising.

I really hope kind MNers aren't take in - don't give to strangers on the internet. Even if you can afford to lose it, it just encourages scammers and others may be more vulnerable than you are. Why would you want to encourage others being ripped off?

Cappucinoaddict · 12/04/2023 11:42

I had similar recently and needed food and had nothing to sell nobody to borrow from etc . UC just isn’t enough

i put a message on local fb pages that I was available to do cleaning that day for just £10 p h in 3 days I made £180

Are we allowed to help?

No, this is an anonymous forum for a reason. How do you know this isn't just a big scam? Please wise up and don't ever fall for things like this.

RedToothBrush · 12/04/2023 11:45

Could I be better financially educated? Yes. But I budget every month and skimp and save. We do not live above our pay grade. We don’t have access to overdrafts or cc and I have got myself into debt paying of husbands exes debt.

You hit the nail on the head with this.

You are right. You could be better financially educated.

Top of that list of things is not to take a pay day loan and that was your first instinct to do. Its the thing you MUST NOT do.

Second of all, you DO live above your pay grade, or you wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. You had insufficient savings and you've made unwise and expensive financial decisions in order to pay off debt. It doesn't matter who the debt belonged to, its clearly been handled badly.

The biggest lesson here, is to manage your finances better - in that you need to start making much smarter decisions.

I don't believe that two professionals can not raise £200 in a day - they will have enough stuff to pawn or SOMEONE they can borrow something off short term, without resorting to pay day.

Then you need to start prioritising your outgoings with your rent the priority. And get advice from charities on debt management because you clearly didn't. Stop taking the attitude that you are living within your means because thats also obviously not the case.

This hasn't come out of nowhere. Its crept up on you and there is clearly an element of burying your head in the sand about how bad things were. Its also come as a surprise to you that the rent hasn't come out as their were insufficient funds - that means you haven't been keeping a close eye on your outgoings as if you had, you would have been aware there was a potential problem a few days ago. Thats why I don't believe you really are budgeting properly despite what you say.

Its bloody awful to have got into this mess, and I am not judging you for it at all even if I do come across harshly here. I am being direct about whats happened and why there is more of a problem than you are willing to admit - and in doing so highlighting that there is more you can do in terms of your money management. This isn't purely about your income being insufficient - I've not entirely convinced about this - there are signs here that there is a real issue with how you think about and manage your outgoing, which unfortunately you have no other option but to think about carefully. Being on the emotional defensive about how you haven't done things badly, isn't going to help you. And actually this part of it, is the good news. If you can manage things better, there is a way out. Addressing this is key.

Life is shit, there are lots of reasonable responses on this thread. You have an immediate cash flow issue which isn't insurmountable. The longer term issue is the bigger issue (and thats why the pay day loan is the worst possible solution for you problem today).

Re gas and electric - double check whether your account is in credit or not. A lot of people are finding their suppliers are taking too much and they actually have money sitting on their accounts doing nothing. We are in this situation and its really bloody annoying and we are having to fight to get it back now. If you do, it wouldn't help you immediately, but it could put you into a better position next month.

I’m wise, thanks. I know most people are out to fleece others but on this one occasion was giving benefit of doubt and wouldn’t give what I couldn’t afford to lose 👍🏼

Floppyelf · 12/04/2023 11:49

Hi which council is that?

GruffaIo · 12/04/2023 11:49

@Moraxella - please consider those more vulnerable than you when deciding whether it's worth encouraging potential scammers by giving to strangers on the internet.

IncompleteSenten · 12/04/2023 11:50

Moraxella · 12/04/2023 11:37

Are we allowed to help?

MN strongly advises against it because as they always say, you don't know if someone is telling the truth or not and there have been a lot of scammers over the years who have identified mn as a place you find many gullible soft touches.

ShowUs · 12/04/2023 11:53

Moraxella · 12/04/2023 11:37

Are we allowed to help?

No don’t be silly!

OP has name failed and her last thread just a couple of weeks ago was saying she has no money for a completely different reason.

She may be genuine and just awful with money but there are a lot of scammers on here that will play poor so people like you will help out.

Do not be that mug.

If OP is genuine then she has to find a way to budget her money better.
2 adults working full time should not be so desperate (I say that as a single parent with no help from the dad).

smooththecat · 12/04/2023 11:53

Op, the best way is to speak to your bank. If you are a good customer with regular income they will likely cover you. Tbh I would lie to the landlord and say account frozen due to fraud or similar. Many won’t agree.

FartSock5000 · 12/04/2023 11:55

@rocketlocket1 surveys won't pay enough on time.

Ocean Credit Card - bad credit considered, gives £200 but will take a few days for the Card and Pin to come through post.

Overdraft from Bank

Pawn Shop - sell or pawn something but it would need to have an overall value of £400+ to get you £200.

Or contact Shelter and ask for advice in handling your LL. Sometimes tenants fall into arrears. A decent landlord will have insurance in place to cover those times or better still, understand a tenant cannot cover a mortgage payment reliably.

Don't let them bully you. If you haven't got it today, you don't have it.

I'd also change your standing orders/direct debits on the gas and electric by cancelling them so its them who has to wait for a payment next time.
