Hope the poorly ones are on the mend
tayto good for you, it takes courage to go and do something new socially
unescorted good for you too, well worth giving your time to
humbug bless her, it’s a tricky one. You must be very busy with work and DCs that are still small

Just been a t football with DS1, it was a satisfying win. Even for me who still knows very little about football after years standing on the sidelines. Going to make myself go for a run and then a friends more a cuppa. Sausage sandwich first though Smile

ememem84 · 30/01/2022 15:00

£7.20 car wash. I’m in the queue* now. It was a way of getting some alone time today! Haha.

Left DH and dd napping. And ds is downstairs watching tv. He knows to go wake DH up if he needs anything. But he has drink and snack. And can do toilet himself. Yay. And I’ll be about 20 minutes.

ememem84 · 30/01/2022 15:05

Also saw this thing on TikTok the other day about probunciation of queue.

Looks like it should be said “kwayway”

Oh no unescorted we had a new boiler last year but the pressure kept dropping found out 1 of the radiators was leaking so dh fixed it a few days ago phew no more going in the loft every few days. We use a local firm for our boiler cover they fitted the old boiler 20 years ago so we got £300 off the new one plus reduced our cover to £5 a month from £30

Feel tired tonight bit of a headache nose feels a bit stuffy and was cold so just been for a bath now waiting to pick ds up from work hopefully about 9 ish

Alfiemoon1 · 30/01/2022 20:30

It’s getting windy again here

ememem84 · 31/01/2022 07:08

It is windy as hell here. Fun

Lovemaltesers · 31/01/2022 07:09

Urgh, I didn’t get the 2nd negative test to leave self isolation today. Still not feeling great though, so probably doing everyone else a favour as was going to drag myself to work!

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/01/2022 07:14

Rest up love
Stormy again here over night and still

Wolfcub · 31/01/2022 07:38

Pay day. Thank goodness.
Windy here too
Love hope you rest and feel brighter tomorrow
Unescorted very annoying re the boiler. Things always break just as the cover has ended. Hopefully dh and ds can fix it

ememem84 · 31/01/2022 09:13

Back in the office today. Phew. Makes me happier to be here working. Gives me the mental headspace. I literally spent all week inside the house last week.

Spends £3 on the most delicious coffee ever.

floatinginmyhomie · 31/01/2022 13:33

Hi I hope you’re all doing well. Spring really feels around the corner here. I’ve managed to wash the clothes outside twice this week instead of in the boat because the weathers been mild enough to allow it. I’m attempting to do it outside today but the wind might blow me away😂.
I’m prepping for our imbolc celebrations tomorrow. A lady near our home mooring has set up an altar on the tow path which I’m a bit sad to be missing as we’re a while away from there now. We’ve cruised to my home city, I was hoping to visit my dad but he has covid so we just had a front door visit. It was nice all the same. DH’s work away is done now so we’re on our way back, we should be home in two weeks if all goes well.
I have been a bit spendy, £90 on food shop instead of normal £75 but that was a top up shop. Also some clothes for the DC, came to £32 from a charity shop and managed to kit a while wardrobe for dd and the next size up for ds. he’s at that wonderful chunky stage now😍😍.
I hope all the poorly people feel better soon❤️ dd hasn’t been herself lately it seems like there’s so many winter bugs about.
unescorted it has been really cold but the fires kept us warm inside. Sorry about your boiler how frustrating!
wolf hope you’re feeling okay that sounds so sore
mrs you do so much for your mum and Bob I don’t know how you manage😮. The new board famr sounds fun
alfie you’ve reminded me I need to get to the dentist soon, that’s one I always forget
martha yes I definitely need a bit of a treat I feel much brighter. It sounds like you had a lovely trip to where you grew up
tayto I love young Sheldon. When it first came out I was at uni and we would all watch it together. Some times when we get together we watch it again it’s brill😂
Brilliant news about school em 🤞🏻 dd can get into the pre school too
Welcome 8😊
Right I am off to brave the storm and attempt some washing. Then need to take some rubbish to the bins and make lunch.

Unescorted · 31/01/2022 17:59

Hassar! the boiler is fixed! For less money but more swearing than a boiler service.

Love for days after. I was due to be released I still tested positive. Even today I still felt knackered.

I need to start working out further savings and fripperies that can be done away with. I am worried about the NI increase and energy cap removal both in the same month.

Accounts done. 500 into saving so all 👍

8stone13 · 31/01/2022 21:45

£51.26 of online groceries arrived today, with lots of good healthy ingredients, I've meal planned & nothing will be wasted.

£9.99 on wet dog food which together with her biscuits will see the small fluffy person through Feb 🐾

I'm now saving up for a set of step ladders, some new dining chairs & a Chanel key holder. It's all glamour round here 😆

ememem84 · 01/02/2022 06:50

Happy feb!

I’ve made a step to log out of social media for a while. Im becoming obsessed again. Which isn’t good for my mental health.

Todays jobs. Work. DH has Pilates. That’s it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/02/2022 09:23

£91 horse trial tickets

There are step ladders on Aldi special buys at the moment Smile
8stone13 · 01/02/2022 12:25

@HTruffle Ah thank you - I do love an Aldi Special Buy! I'll have a look but they might not be high enough, I'm after some massive ones to help me get into the loft, so they need to be 10 or 12 tread which are pretty rare from what I can see. I have those extendable yellow & black Stanley ones that just prop up against a wall but even though they're quality ones they gave way recently, if I'd have been on my own I would have been stuck up in my loft 😬

Thanks for letting me know about them 🙂

Mrsmadevans · 01/02/2022 13:22
