Dh isn’t actually going to southampton😱 he’s going to fareham. He’s just told me that.

Catface is wigging our because it’s hella windy here. She’s tearing about the house.

Ggreengrass1 · 27/01/2019 21:50

£28 new vet bed for the dogs.
sea hope you feel better soon, glad your mum's recovered.
em love the ds on beach pic Looks gorgeous.
Have had heating on a lot extra this weekend and fire lit. Need to order more coal tomorrow. Our house rarely gets above 17 C in winter, but gas bill still massive.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 27/01/2019 22:11

Oh no sea sounds like you and jam have had the same awful bug! Hope you have a better night tonight.

Gorgeous pic em

I spent £30 on amazon on more b day gifts, I know I'm spoiling her 😉

Made flapjack but it's really crumbly, I seem to struggle with getting the right flapjack consistency!

LonelyOversharer · 27/01/2019 22:51

You need a wetter mix girlie either more butter, or a bit more syrup.
For the crumbly flapjack, melt a bar of cheap choc, crumble it in and reset it in the fridge!

I do miss posting btw.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 27/01/2019 23:05

Aww lonely we all miss you!! Please come back, thank you for the flapjack tip will give that a go!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 27/01/2019 23:27

Happy Birthday Jam
Sorry you are now I'll too Sea
Your ds is super cute em

I can't remember if it was North or Lonely who recommended good warm gloves. At work we do 2 weeks in and 2 weeks out, but I'm mostly out all the time and my hands get really cold and they split and chap in the cold weather, so if you can point me in the right direction, it will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Wolfcub · 28/01/2019 05:38

Jam happy birthday
Lonely so pleased to see you.
Have a good frugal day everyone

Wolfcub · 28/01/2019 05:38

Sea hope you feel better soon

WreckTangled · 28/01/2019 07:36

Happy birthday jam!

Nice to see you lonely

Should be a nsd today. Dd is always so vile in the mornings trying to get her to get dressed is a nightmare! Oh actually I need fuel will just do £20 as didn't use much last week and I'm going somewhere today where it's a bit cheaper.

Em that's disappointing!

ChristmasSeacow · 28/01/2019 07:50

Morning all! I feel loads better today, thanks so much for the good wishes. I thought I might have trouble sleeping as I’d been asleep almost the whole day yesterday but I didn’t... I must have really needed that. I am a new woman and even have a bit of an appetite. I missed that Jam got lurgy, glad you are on the mend too!

Lonely keep lurking and please pop up again!

Hopefully I’ll make it to Sainsburys today for a top up shop and ideally to send the huge box of baby clothes to Meadow. It’s been in the boot of my car for about 3 weeks....

Happierwithouthim · 28/01/2019 08:20

Belated Happy Birthday to Jam
Hi lonely please come back, and laska and fluffy and ipsos(can't remember most recent name) and anyone else that I've missed out on

Last week I got rid of two bin bags of dc clothes in charity clothes bin and have another one ready since yesterday. Decluttering is a major battle but one I must conquer. I intend to buy a smaller house and not to move all this clutter with me, also house will need to be tidy and decluttered for selling too.

Sat eve when they returned from H's dc came with a blow up rubber dingy and chimes, he had told them they could use dingy in the bath, it was bigger than the bathAngry instead of telling them that it was for the beach in summer [jackass]

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/01/2019 09:08

Glad you're feeling better sea

That's annoying happier well done on the decluttering though. Dd always comes back from my dad's with more crap, it's really frustrating as I try to minimise how much stuff is bought into the house.

Today I've got quite a bit to do, I want to get my niece and nephews b day presents as they're having a joint party next wend. Also want to get some veggie bits in morrisons (aldi are crap for veggie stuff.)

MissingMo · 28/01/2019 09:13

Glad you're feeling better @seacow
What a cutie @em
I decluttered my wardrobe last week too @happier. It's amazing how much you don't realise you have.
@girlie if you can't spoil your daughter who can you spoil

Sorry to the frugleers having issues atm
Freezing cold and windy here too, apparently snow coming Tuesday, I hope not as I have a driving test Wednesday. Spendy weekend as I was off both days and had a driving Lesson. Will tot up later to post.
Cleaning and tidying up today. Loads of washing to do and I didn't even run one overnight so may spill into tomorrow. Hav3 a good day everyone!

Thatsnotmybaby · 28/01/2019 10:32

Good you are feeling better @ChristmasSeacow, you obviously really needed that extra sleep. I'm always like that after I've had a migraine, I sleep like a baby no matter
How much I've slept during the day.

Spends yesterday:
£12 cinema.

ememem84 · 28/01/2019 11:17

Ok. So. Maternity leave policy at work has been updated. It’s better than last time.

26 weeks off (unless otherwise agreed).
6 weeks at 100% pay
14 weeks at 90% pay
6 weeks unpaid.
Be back for 6 months and get the 10% withheld.
Also get the government maternity allowance for 26 weeks currently £240 ish a week.
And a grant of £684.79 (very specific) as a one off payment.
So that’s good.

I had questions but they’ve all been answered by the release of the updated policy. So while I’m on leave we should be ok money wise. Phew.

Cagliostro · 28/01/2019 11:42

Popping in again. Briefly looking at screens is about all I can manage ATM as it’s good distraction. About to attempt getting dressed. Fuck this shit, I am never trying another SSRI again. Ever. This has honestly terrified the living daylights out of me.

Sorry to come back all melodramatic and needy. Much love to all, gentle hugs to poorly ones, sorry for all the birthdays and congratulations and suchlike I have missed. I really do miss you guys.

ememem84 · 28/01/2019 11:49

Oh cag take care of yourself won’t you? Xxxx

WreckTangled · 28/01/2019 12:15

Sorry you're having such a tough time cag

Just stopping for a spot of lunch

Frugaleers dripping their way through a wet January...
northender · 28/01/2019 12:53

That looks beautiful wreck. Enjoy.
Cag take care, post if it helps.
That's good news em
Took ds to eye appointment at hospital today. Verdict is much better, continue with antibiotics, but he can stop them for a week when he's in Tobago. So overall good news.
Went to gym, good session.
Have done some housework and a couple of online things (renewed railcard and booked Britannia yacht tour for dh & dd when we are in Edinburgh.
Going out for a walk with dmum this afternoon. She is 80 this year, has had lifelong problems with her chest and a particularly bad 12 months but is trying to regain her fitness so I'll try to help when I can.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/01/2019 14:25

Missingmo exactly, she is my only baby girl!!

Cag i feel the same ways about SSRIs, I had horrific side effects and am now terrified if I ever have to try any medication that i haven't had before. I know lots of people really benefit from them but I also feel sometimes Drs are a bit quick to dish them out. Sending you lots of love.

Thats good news about the mat leave em

I have had a very spendy morning;

£12 The Range, a bday gift for dniece and a few other bits.
£22 Poundland, mostly toiletries and a few bits for dds bday.
£20 Morrisons on veggie food.
£26 Dun Elm I got myself a decent mat for the back door.
£14 Car biscuits.

Scary how easy it is to spend £100 Hmm

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/01/2019 14:28

I forgot another £23 in Sainsburys on bday gifts for my niece and nephew, I got them some nice clothes in the sales.

Oh and that should say cat biscuits, my car isn't a big fan of biscuits Wink

WreckTangled · 28/01/2019 15:53

Eugh. A phone call from the teacher concerned about ds' rubbing himself whilst lying on the table. She was really good about it and was concerned something might be worrying him but I can't think of anything it might be! I just can't get him to stop it! BlushBlush

ememem84 · 28/01/2019 16:29

wreck uh oh. How old is ds? And is that something all boys do?!?! Ds is pretty fascinated with his willy. Thinks it’s hilarious. And wants to poke it every time he can see it....

WreckTangled · 28/01/2019 16:40

Yes boys can do it but I've not known others do it to the extent ds does. He literally lies on his hand on the floor and wiggles lots. He's such a shy boy but doesn't seem to care about this. The teacher wasn't fazed and has seen others doing it before but he hasn't done it since he's been at school so she wants to know what's causing him to do it Blush

WreckTangled · 28/01/2019 16:41

Oh and he's six. So should know better!
