I have 3 age 7-8 boys coats im happy to post. Hardly worn

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/01/2019 12:27

I'm using chocolate protein shakes to curb my craving. Not the same but not the spot.

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/01/2019 12:28

Hit the spot. Bastard phone

Lovemaltesers · 07/01/2019 12:38

It's like I've never been off on holiday already 😬

Having asked whether I needed to attend some training tonight and got told probably not, today I got told it was mandatory. Ahhhh! Last minute.com here. Fixing my Grin face on to survive the day!

Have a good day everyone Grin

Wolfcub · 07/01/2019 12:55

Great news Cag

ememem84 · 07/01/2019 12:58

Prescription picked up. And £8.99 spent in boots on whitening toothpaste. One an activated charcoal one. I’ve been wanting to try this for ages but was wary. It’s a Colgate brand. So they wouldn’t fail me would they?! Do need to check if safe for preggos so will google shortly. IF not will save for later.

Lunch was a salad box made by dh - spinach leaves sweet potato humous tomatoes cucumber pine nuts (left over from Christmas dinner). Yum.

I’ve booked nail apt for this Friday and a waxin session next week. Eeek.

AutumnLeaves12 · 07/01/2019 13:02

I have been out bubble wrapping the greenhouse with dh. It was really fun. That should be the frugal approach to frost-free greenhouse gardening I hope. It's certainly warm in there anyway.

Taytocrisps · 07/01/2019 13:51

NSD yesterday.

LSD today. I've to pick up tuna and paracetamol.

Happier there's a TV series about budgeting starting on RTE One on Thursday at 8.30. It's called 'How to be good with money'.

Cagliostro · 07/01/2019 14:53

DH braved the dentist. Happily, they put him with the same one as me, he is lovely (although knowing that didn’t make DH any less scared).

He’s got a couple of fillings/hygienist booked in, £103 including today which is much lower than we expected. However the broken tooth has such a long twisty root (which apparently explains the hideous pain he is in) that he’s been referred straight to the hospital to have it out under general. Does anyone know how the fees work for that? I had my wisdom teeth out in hospital too but that was when I still had my maternity exemption from DD1 anyway.

DH bought the Sun today. Ugh, horrible paper but we might give the cheap holiday thing a go. 🤷‍♀️ Also got snacks for the circus later (free show for the local autism group).

Cagliostro · 07/01/2019 14:56

Oh and I have finally got a scan date for my ouchy ovaries. DD overheard the word ultrasound and got all excited that I was pregnant. 🤦‍♀️ Hahahahaha but NOPE.

Happierwithouthim · 07/01/2019 15:20

tayto thanks for the heads up I'll watch that. I used to watch that one before with Martin somebody, there was a magazine too Your Money I think it was called.

Aww poor dd cag

Spends today
€2.83 on amazon on a phone cable, dm told me last night that her handset cable had been snipped, no one else could be responsible except ds, he was in bed when I found out so will be interesting to see if he'll own up Grin
€28.73 on two mini they're real mascaras from benefit and a smashbox lippy palette. Used gift voucher which now has 1.27 left on it but I couldn't used two payment methods on debenhams website so couldn't use it. And then I'd to get delivery to store for free instead of free delivery to home over €30 bugger it anyhow.

Think that's my make up bag pretty much restocked now - bought foundation, concealer, powder and foundation brushes & eyeshadow brushes before christmas, brow set on Sat and now mascara and lippy so I guess if I'd a set of decent eyeshadows I'd be set up for 2019. I wear very little make up and very rarely too.

Going to rid myself of everything else that's out of date and unused.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/01/2019 15:26

Cag A colleague of mine who was not short of money went on a sun holiday in Cornwall and had a great time surfing all week & eating out. Is it a trans vaginal scan? Always fun.

£7 Tesco. I only went in for cat food and pitta breads. Forgot the pitta breads.

I have killed my peace lily. I’ll try a spider plant instead.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/01/2019 15:30

personal.natwest.com/personal/current-accounts/select_account.html

NatWest £150 account switch. Pay £1500 in but you don’t have to do it all in one go.

WreckTangled · 07/01/2019 15:44

Ah yes dlildo cam.

We went on a sun holiday and it was fine, we went to the IOW the ferry bumped it up though.

Nsd.

AutumnLeaves12 · 07/01/2019 15:52

Sorry to hear about that Cag. Your dh is having a bit of a time of it isn't he? I hope they fix his tooth soon for him. My ds had a tooth out in hospital and it certainly solved the problem. That was private so I'm not sure how NHS ones work, payment-wise.

I've had a nice day getting outside as much as possible. It's a bit nippy out but not too bad. Getting dark now.

Taytocrisps · 07/01/2019 15:54

LSD €5.50 on bread, tuna and paracetamol.

Girlie I've been clearing out the top drawer of my bedside locker and I came across those Irish coins I was thinking of. I'll send you a PM with a photo.

AutumnLeaves12 · 07/01/2019 15:54

ds also had an operation in an nhs hospital privately and it was only £350. I have no idea how they did it for so little. In america it would be $1000s or a private one here would be £3500 ish.

Justanothermile · 07/01/2019 15:57

I'm with you em, positivity Monday here too. #mindset

Great news on the scan and dentist Cag and also Dh's cancelled appointment.

Cheers fluffy - I've a switching account I use for er, switching, so that will be my next one. What did you do to the lily?

Yep dildo cam :o as soon as she said I would have to drink 2L I was like NOPE internal one please. Which is horrible too but actually now I’ve had a few of them not as horrible as the amigonnapeemyself panic and slooshy tummy. And one time I got there and they told me it had to be internal anyway so it was all for nothing, I figured I’d cut out the middle man. So to speak 🤔

Frugal fail as I’m in a taxi, anxiety has been on the slow burn all day culminating in a panic attack about getting to the circus etc, writing this post is keeping my shaky hands busy so apologies if I’m waffling.

This kind of shit is what makes me think my tablets aren’t actually working. I’ve been on them 2 months and it’s still happening a lot.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/01/2019 16:15

I watered it Jam. There not as easy to care for as they make out.

£10 amazon code from the media cell app arrived.

Justanothermile · 07/01/2019 16:25

Think you've to hardly water them, that's why I don't kill mine (unlike any other plant I have ever owned..).

Deep breaths Cag, breath, small steps, focus on the next thing and that alone. Xx

AutumnLeaves12 · 07/01/2019 17:09

Fluffy I've read that these plants are grown in very intensely nurturing conditions and that going out into the world can be a bit of a shock for them.

I think the thing I read said that it might be a good idea to put a see-through bag over the top or something to maintain high humidity initially. I think it said that supermarket plants can be a bit like cut flowers in their longevity unless really well cared for in the initial stages.

I bought a basil plant from a supermarket once and it keeled over remarkably rapidly.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/01/2019 17:48

I don’t think I have one, dh might.

Maybe it will perk up.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 07/01/2019 17:49

cag we have been on a couple of the sun holidays, I have forgotten to collect the papers though so not going to be able to do it this time 😣 they book up fast especially the school holiday dates. We went to an awful one in Chichester which i wouldn't return to if you paid Me!!! Haven is great fun though, even paying for the passes and linen it still works out cheap.

I don't have plants I kill everything.... DH looks after the garden ones, in the summer i just hack away at things if they start taking over. I definitely don't have green fingers 🤣

Nsd yesterday, today £3.60 in co-op on bread, bananas and yogurt, £3.78 in the butcher's on saveloys for dh and girls and some gluten free burgers for me kind of a late anniversary dinner. Was our first anniversary yesterday ♥️

WreckTangled · 07/01/2019 17:52

Haha nocuts Lakeside by any chance? There's always people dying there Confused
