I had you up this way for some reason.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/01/2019 11:15

£47.50 on coaching group annual subscription. Waves at happier....
Although just made an orange cake to take as my contribution to lunch so tomorrow.

SneakyGremlins · 01/01/2019 11:33

I need a new bedframe. Mine is missing slats so I sleep in a dip Sad

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/01/2019 11:39

www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/wooden-bed-slats

eBay sell the slats Sneaky. Cheaper than a new frame.

SneakyGremlins · 01/01/2019 11:42

Thanks fluffy!

I've replaced the slats twice and they keep breaking

Might see if my aftercare worker can help with funding

ememem84 · 01/01/2019 11:45

wreck a coil baby?!?! Woah! My gp said they’re practically bombproof. Although I was told that about the pill too alas it seems the only way not to get preggo is to abstain from relations forever and a day.

Your trip looks amazing!!! I love a snowy trip. We went to Colorado one year for New Years (friends wedding) so beautiful in the mountains with the snow! I’m a fairly frequent visitor to courcheval now too (because client has business there so we do two tripe a year to speak to the French accountant) it’s beautiful. So lovely.

Christmas tree is outside. Catface ventures outside for a bit too. Her first outside trip! She came back in after a very nervous 15 minutes.

Decorations have been boxed up.

Washing is in the machine and is ready to go tomorrow. And I’m tumbling some other stuff. You’re just not meant to wash clothes today right? Nothing in the old wives tale about drying stuff you had in the dryer yesterday but forgot to turn it on?!

SnugglySnerd · 01/01/2019 11:47

Beautiful photos Wreck. Looks like you had a great time.
I have a banging headache and nausea which seems very unfair as I had no alcohol last night and went to bed early.

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/01/2019 11:48

You might be better off with a divan bed Sneaky.

Em Def no washing today. I washed on nyd last year so that proves the old wives tale.

Happierwithouthim · 01/01/2019 11:49

Happy New Year everybody
Everyone slept in here this morning

Wreck good to have you back photos are amazing

My remaining two red Sussex hybrids aren't laying much, I suspect just one is laying and not every day.
I've two poached eggs most days so am having to buy now & it's just not the same

I went out at 10pm last night for just over an hour and was home to ring in the new year with my dm and dc, they were thrilled to be allowed stay up.

Still haven't tallied receipts for dc clothes.
Spends over past few days
€17 on takeaway tea for dparents, dc and I yesterday
€71.50 on alcohol at wedding Sunday
That's me and alcohol done for a long time now.

Yesterday I discovered the marvel that is benefit they're real mascara, have checked it out on Debenhams & they've 8g for €27 but 4g is reduced to €8 so I'm going to buy two colours and I'll do click & collect because I need to return a headband that doesn't fit me or DD's head so that'll be €9 coming back to me & ive Voucher for the mascara.

Tayto great goals, I've really felt the benefit of earlier bedtime & more sleep.

Em they've introduced stricter driving alcohol limits in Ireland so once you could have one and drive but not anymore so I'm glad of my decision to cut alcohol.

I'm going back to butchers this year too, last year I was ill for months so got SuperValu delivered and was easiest to do all together and then I never know when dc are here so now I'm going to cook for two and second portion can be for freezer/lunch/dc if they're home.
Au pair is veggie

I think I'm going to buy €2 saving stamps for Dunnes every week from now on just to give a week off from paying for groceries in December next year or for emergencies. Think €98 & they give the other €2 free.

Life have you got the app so? If it's not available on Apple I'll continue on my £3.50 monthly membership

Sneaky ds slats move out so if I attempt to lie in with him whole bed collapses it was frighteningly funny the first time it happened, he wants a new bed, I'm waiting for new house first

@Justanothermile well done on your mileage this year. You've beagles don't you? I'm looking at rescue dogs -springer spaniel or beagle. I would run with a few times a week & au pair will walk & dc and I would walk so smaller dog than we were used to. But I'm hesitant to go back to having a dog at this time of upheaval too HmmConfused

Happierwithouthim · 01/01/2019 11:50

What's the tale about washing today?

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/01/2019 11:50

Bollocks I've done a load of washing. What's the tale? Am I dinner l doomed to another year of bad luck?

SneakyGremlins · 01/01/2019 11:51

Will check out Divan - I promise I'm not ridiculously fat!

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/01/2019 11:52

Still on Facebook happier. Need to set it all back up.

Happierwithouthim · 01/01/2019 11:53

€2 tooth fairy last night too

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/01/2019 12:01

That you’ll wash all your luck away Life.

SneakyGremlins · 01/01/2019 12:05

But what if I have no clean boxers for tomorrow? Do I have to do a wash in the morning before I get dressed? Shock

SnugglySnerd · 01/01/2019 12:19

Oh no! I've done washing today too. Never heard that one before.

Cagliostro · 01/01/2019 12:21

I was looking forward to having the excuse of a day off laundry but DD spilled food on her new totoro hoodie so we don’t want to leave it! And we do have a bit of a backlog anyway so best crack on.

AutumnLeaves12 · 01/01/2019 12:31

I've done two washes, and I think I first footed myself accidentally too. Ooops.

Been out gardening though, and that was good. One raised bed constructed. Dh is digging. It's still warm here, which seems a bit odd.

This is a bargain if you’ve got the cash Sneaky. There will be cashback on it at KidStart too.

ememem84 · 01/01/2019 12:45

sneaky that’s why people buy undies for Christmas.....

To be fair I’ve a mountain of laundry to get through (again). I reached the bottom of the laundry basket the other day and then dh couldn’t remember what was dirty or clean so put it all back in for washing and ds has wet through his sleeping bag and jammies again. Sigh. This tends to happen on Monday and Friday nights. I think Dm is doing too good of a job of making sure he has water! Haha.

Laundry is set to finish at 6am tomorrow. So I can get up chuck that load in the dryer and chuck another load on.

Im giving the organised mum method another go this year. I tried and failed last year. So at a minimum 1/2 hour cleaning a day. Need to use time wisely.

I’ve sent emails to a couple of bedroom designers this morning re fitted wardrobes. They do free quotes so I’m getting them up to see what they can do about our bedroom. Dh is going to contact a carpenter and see if they can do something (he thinks we could move the wall separating our room and spare room (stud wall) and build a wardrobe in. I think great idea. And probably cheaper than actual fitted wardrobes and we won’t lose any floor space. But whether it’s be feasible....

Dh and ds have gone to fils. He told me to hurry up and get ready (mid bowl of soup and cup of tea...) I’m meeting them there in about half hour. Used the “if I eat too quickly I’ll throw up” excuse. 😉

Things I must do tomorrow. Take back jumper to M&S, buy an ironing basket and a hair trap for the bath plug hole.

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/01/2019 13:05

I’ve just done dhs sock drawer. 22 pairs of socks, excluding “naice” socks. Not bad for the man with no socks 🤔

Sneaky no one is blaming your slat issues on weight. We’re all women of the world here Wink

Em I bet a walk in wardrobe would add value too. It sounds well posh.

LonelyOversharer · 01/01/2019 13:20

Have had to mooch about while dd1 was voulenteering. Have filled my tank with fuel, zeroed my milage thingy, and spent wee bits here and there. Got some birdy feeders, a pair of secatours (sp? autospell thing doesn't know), so will tackle my willow mountain after a coffee.

What I have done is order an A6 bullet journal (I have a lovely new A5 one for work), which I will track all spends and savings into.

This is my year to get organised. 2018 was sort the debt out, which I have. This year I need to just go to work, make as much extra as I can and not spend too much that I don't need to. All change under pound coins will be removed from my purse every week, 50p's and £2's are not for spending.

A positive is my car will be paid off in Jan/Feb (not sure!) but thats £99.17 a month more.

Taytocrisps · 01/01/2019 14:00

I'm off to IKEA shortly, to have a look around. I've never been so I'm really excited need to get out more.

My New Year's resolutions didn't get off to a good start. I went to get showered and dressed for a long walk and realized I've no walking trousers. My last pair have gone too tight and won't fasten any more Blush. So I'm going to go to a sports shop tomorrow to pick up something. I'm wary of spending a fortune buying a new wardrobe for my new sport (and then not keeping it up) so I'll pick up one pair of sports leggings in the sales and see how I get on.

I need to get a new diary insert for my filofax also.

I nipped to the shops to get bread but they'd none (bank holiday so no deliveries). I spent 95 cent on two baguettes and had a poached egg on toasted baguette for lunch. I'll get bread later when I'm out. There were lots of people out jogging Smile.

Lonely have you used a bullet journal before? Does it work for you? I've considered it but it seems like a lot of work for a 'To Do' list. I suspect it would be like my study timetable at school - I spent a lot of time devising beautiful study timetables but not a lot of time actually studying Blush. But maybe you're more disciplined.

ememem84 · 01/01/2019 14:21

tayto I’m the same. Tried the bullet journal thing but couldn’t get on with it. I’m better with lots of lists...
