Cag I've been playing it on switch, it's GREAT

AutumnLeaves12 · 24/12/2018 16:24

We've made it triumphantly to the end of the sound of music. Wohoo! Ds can correctly spot that the baroness is being given the heave-ho, without my giving any hints at all. Yay!

Chocolate roulade is in the oven. separating the eggs is the hardest bit and it's done

Happierwithouthim · 24/12/2018 16:41

Hate to break it to you (pardon the pun) but I think rolling the roulade is the trickiest bit autumn Smile

I'm just sitting down with a mince pie & ice cream before doing my outdoor chores

Unescorted · 24/12/2018 17:06

Hola! We made it. We had 3 attempts to land because of fog. The first time was a bit butt clenching because no one knew what was going on. On the final one when we landed we had no idea we were so close to the ground.... Then they couldn't get the air bridge to work so we were sat about for a bit while they worked out how to get us off. The final excitement was them asking all the passengers to move forward as the plane was tipping back..... I was glad to stand in line for the passport checks.

Wolfcub · 24/12/2018 17:10

Jesus unescorted I think that would make me need a large beverage of the alcoholic variety!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/12/2018 17:40

Merry Christmas Eve all!
Thanks for the thread Autumn

I had some bad news last night, my aunt passed away, so have been on the phone to my uncle and cousins.

Went to town to get some last bits and had coffee with DD1, which was nice.

Sounds like everyone is having a lovely day.
Unescorted, glad you are all ok

Happierwithouthim · 24/12/2018 17:48

Unescorted definitely would need a stiff drink after that sounds terrifying

Curvy sorry to read of your loss, bereavements at hard at any time but especially at Christmas Thanks

Lovemaltesers · 24/12/2018 17:54

The scrum over the reduced food in M&S was all a bit embarrassing. Two boxes of snacky bits for £2.40 originally £12 Xmas Shock

Lovemaltesers · 24/12/2018 17:54

Sorry to hear your news curls Thanks

Lovemaltesers · 24/12/2018 17:54

Sorry curves

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 24/12/2018 17:58

Curvy Flowers

Cagliostro · 24/12/2018 18:10

So sorry curvy 💐

Unescorted · 24/12/2018 18:49

curvy so sorry to hear that.

I have visions of rioting in m&s.... Autocollants jaunes could be a new popular movement of the fed up menopausal of Britain.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/12/2018 18:50

Ah sorry to hear that curvy. X

Lovely afternoon out at friends. Gammon chips and after 8s for tea.
Last presents to sorry and wrap once DC in beef.
Nsd today

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/12/2018 18:56

Oh thank you all Flowers
You are all so lovely.

She was my dad's sister and wasn't very old, she had quite a few health problems, but you know, was always smiling and had the attitude of "there is someone who is worse off than me".
I will miss her.

Anyway, we have had a snacky dinner, morrisons had quite a good selection of vegan party food and it has all gone down well, including with the meat eaters.

DD2 has been transfixed with Mary Poppins Smile

Cagliostro · 24/12/2018 18:57

Just broke out the soup maker again as had no plans for today’s food. Carrot onion potato cumin and chilli. Caglets have random shizz from the freezer.

Caglets are showering then back in their jammies (the elves had to arrive early today as DH working 11.30-9) then we are going to watch Incredibles 2 :)

AutumnLeaves12 · 24/12/2018 18:59

So sorry to hear that Curvy. Flowers

Unescorted that's a fantastic mental image. Grin

Happier LOL! I hear you on that one.

However, we got over the difficulty of rolling the roulade some years ago after we figured out that dh is the only one who cares what it looks like and decided that he would do the rolling himself. He did it today and there was not a single crack. Not sure why, because last year it was all crack and no roulade. Mysterious. Job done anyway.

Whipped cream gives me the heebie jeebies.

Bed time now.

Grr AngryAngry h has just announced he's not joining us for Christmas dinner. Could cheerfully have thrown the trifle in his face, will hand it to him tomo as he leaves as it was only bought for him anyhow. Going to have plenty of leftovers now GrinGrin

Lovemaltesers · 24/12/2018 19:21

At least you won't have to look at his face whilst enjoying your Christmas dinner happier. How are the DC about things?

AutumnLeaves12 · 24/12/2018 19:22

Sorry to hear that Happier. Flowers

OP posts:
Wolfcub · 24/12/2018 19:35

Curvy I’m so sorry to hear that Flowers

Happier I’d serve it straight into his face (not really but tempting)

Roll on bedtime, ds is being difficult and my head hurts. I need to actually remember to be santa though unlike the tooth fairy which I forgot.

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 24/12/2018 19:36

What a dick!

I have bought this. I am hereby now an adult.
