That's lovely fluffy - bit too enabling that link, given the discount..

That's really sweet Pukka, what a nice thing to do!

Boo to feeling shite unescorted.

Fab news on the work seacow. DH hates his MAC, moans like fuck then usually buys another one. I just roll my eyes...

NSD, three in a row as it turns out I didn't order my veg box!

Tea - roasting in oven is garlic, red onion, leek, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, passata, olives, capers, red peppers, basil and seasoning. Cook some pasta, stir both together - makes tons. Vary the veg according to what's in.

Just for you lonely :o the weird gesture is because Xand is talking to DS about pressure in the eustacian tube :o

Jam I would like this printed on a T-shirt: "Boo to feeling shite" Grin

Thanks for the yule log suggestions. That was really kind of you to look that up Christmas and Born.

I also have a recipe that is a chocolate log made with almond flour that tastes amazing and has kind of less chemistry-set ingredients, but is proper work to make. Will have to ponder. I can post it if anyone is interested. It is very popular hereabouts.

Unescorted Is there any chance that you could give me a potted summary of what the perimenopause involves? I think I'm heading that way and would be glad to know.

I was back out today after a tedious fortnight of missing all the festive fun for having a lurgy, so that's good. On we plod.

LonelyOversharer · 13/12/2018 19:05

Thanks cag I've always rather liked him ♥️

Fell to sleep knitting and watching them make pet gifts. Loved the leathercraft. I do not need another craft!

Coffee then christmas jumper shopping. Annoying that I live about half an hour from a decent supermartket.

AutumnLeaves12 · 13/12/2018 19:12

Does anybody know where a person goes to get advice about how to stay safe on the streets of their own home town/city? I'm not sure whether the police do drop-ins about stuff like that.

I am going out and about in the dark of the evening more with ds since he is getting older and I'm realising that I would be much more relaxed about that if I was a bit more street-wise, having grown up in the sticks myself. I wondered if anyone might know?

ememem84 · 13/12/2018 19:24

I read that as acrylic slag.

No idea autumn but I just work on the basis that if I’m out on my own I keep to lit streets, middle of the pavement. Walk quickly but not too quick. I also always carry a torch. And if it’s a reasonable hour I call someone on my way home and chat and let’s them know my route.

Dh also has “find my friends” app on his phone so he can track me (and me him).

Wolfcub · 13/12/2018 19:34

Lonely all of Tesco’s Christmas jumpers are reduced if that helps. I had the same problem with adult size ds on Tuesday

Wolfcub · 13/12/2018 19:39

Unescorted sorry you are feeling so rubbish. I’m sending get well vibes across the hills

£10 replacement car bulbs because they couldn’t be the nice normal bastard bulbs I already had
£14 McDonald’s, train delays resulted in being home too late to cook anything before ds’s activity
£8 Tesco - wine and pain au chocolate, the pain were yellow sticker and the wine was £1 cashback on ClickSnap

Colleague made lunch - yum
Complained to Amazon re product not being as described. Expecting a refund. Annoyingly I didn’t get one last time I complained about a more expensive item and I should have done
£4 ds activity

I am frozen stiff, trains and train stations do not agree

Fluffy that John Lewis link is enabling I tell you

Thought I’d lost my debit card earlier, mass panic ensued. Found it luckily

PukkaLove · 13/12/2018 19:40

There is a menopause /perimenopause section under general health on here autumn
Very informative as everyone is different .

Unescorted · 13/12/2018 19:41

Autumn you should have come to my stand up gig - was about hitting the menopause. They say do something you know about. Feeling shite just about sums it up. I started feeling fat and lumpy, flushes, night sweats. A bit grumpy for no reason. It co-insided with having a Merina removed so I put it down to that....but then my periods stopped. Coupled with a swelling belly after having relations had me worried. Until I got a period from hell..... I am going with the be really open about it so it is not a thing. If I have a flush at work I say I am having a menopausal moment. I am not bothered if other people are embarrassed. It is quite liberating in a way.

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 13/12/2018 19:49

Can I take painkillers for stomachache? Sad

Unescorted · 13/12/2018 19:50

wolf borrow the Wall Trump wants to build. Everyone over this side has it. Just be glad for that cold Easterly. It blows the Manchester germs to Liverpool.

PukkaLove · 13/12/2018 19:51

Gosh Sneaky might be best to call 111 for advice if its really bad .

Unescorted · 13/12/2018 19:51

Depends which type. Not Aspirin and some people react badly to paracetamol

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 13/12/2018 19:53

I was just going to take 2 paracetamol and 2 ibuprofen...

Unescorted · 13/12/2018 19:54

Peppermint works well for stomach ache.. just remembered dh used to use them when he had a dicky tummy

Wolfcub · 13/12/2018 19:54

That’s not good Unescorted one of the colleagues I was with today lives in your side

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 13/12/2018 19:54

I've got tic tacs? Grin

Unescorted · 13/12/2018 19:55

Alternatively squeeze a fart.

Wolfcub · 13/12/2018 19:55

Sneaky ibuprofen may not be the best thing. If it hurts enough for four painkillers at once then ring 111 as Pukka suggests

Unescorted · 13/12/2018 19:56

Give them a try... He used to use toothpaste if he didn't have anything else

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 13/12/2018 19:56

It's not that painful yet but has very slowly gotten more painful over the past hour.

Might ring 111, good idea, thankyou.

Unescorted · 13/12/2018 19:57

wolf buy in tissues....nice soft indulgent tissues. My nose has been mistaken for a pantomime prop.
