Busy work day, then book group Xmas meal and cricket club agm....I know how to live!

Wolfcub · 13/12/2018 06:17

Morning all. Happy frugal Thursday. Weather is foul here, I am not looking forward to standing on various train station platforms today

PukkaLove · 13/12/2018 06:35

Its a very cold one Wolf
Standing is the worst ,at least if you are moving you keep warm.
north I know ! I dithered and too late.
Ah well .
Girlie couldnt agree more.
Im glad she stayed though, just would have screwed things up further.
On a feminist level I was pleased she has batted off those back stabbing brexiteer male snakes!
Ugh JRM actually makes me physically recoil hes so odious .
I have a work jolly today Hmm

ememem84 · 13/12/2018 06:45

I feel For TM.

Haven’t dragged self out of bed yet. Must do it now. Dh brought ds in at 6. Alarm goes off at 545 anyway and I’m meant to be up by 615. Ds has done a whirlwind tour of the bedroom. Moved things from one nightstand to the other and has bodyslammed dh a few times. Has also patted my face and tried to poke my teeth. #relaxing

Today is a busy day work wise. And I have a nail appointment at lunchtime so £39.50 for that.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/12/2018 07:09

Hi Pukka.

North Put a price watch on camel, camel, camel. It will drop again, or look at pressure king.

I miss that money show with the psychologist who used to break down why they overspent. He was good.

No spends planned today.

Wolfcub · 13/12/2018 07:19

Funnily enough the IP was mentioned a number of times at an event I was at yesterday

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/12/2018 07:28

Morning. Busy day today. Should be a nsd

Wolfcub · 13/12/2018 07:32

H has continued spending out of the joint account says he mixed up cards. My annoyance level is high!

LonelyOversharer · 13/12/2018 07:36

Morning all. Bit groggigly this morning. Ds came in at 0345 and wriggled and squiggled. I am going to start returning him to bed if it is before 0600. It's not like hes a toddler, he's 6.5 and perfectly capable of staying in his own bed.

Have sold a pair of shoes and a helmet, yay! Wasn't expecting ebay to do much now until the spring. This covers my mums yarn though. I do feel a bit bad giving her yarn from my stash, does that count as regifting? It's not like I have used it or let the moths at it.

Right, better get my 3 lazies up, lunches to do. Hoping I have another quitly busy day today.

LonelyOversharer · 13/12/2018 07:38

wolf thats deliberate. Once is a mix up. He is wanting communication from you?? Time to take possesion of his card.

Lovemaltesers · 13/12/2018 07:45

I think that counts as a sensible reallocation of resources lonely, not regifting Wink

Lots of jobs to do today. Still working on my mum and the not driving. I pointed her in the direction of the place she could get rid of her car to, and she did look at it. I think she wants a 'nice' drive to end her driving days.

Lovemaltesers · 13/12/2018 07:45

Angry wolf DH

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/12/2018 07:56

Nah lonely. It's no worst than having a present box and reallocating it to someone else.
Wolf. I would be stopping his card. Not on.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/12/2018 07:56

Wolf Remind me why the account can be closed? Cos I think he’s overspent on himself/third party and expecting you to pick up the tab.

Wolfcub · 13/12/2018 08:01

Fluffy because there are a couple of payments that can’t be changed to my account unfortunately. Certainly not without a lot of paperwork because they are all joint name payments even though I am the one currently paying for them. I will charge him for what he’s spent so he’s not not paying it the problem is I only put just enough in that account to cover the four direct debits that go out of it so I have to watch the account like a hawk and top it up if he spends it. Grrrrrrr. He has promised me he’s stuck a sticker on the joint account card now so he can tell which it is but I don’t know why he doesn’t just give it to me!

Justanothermile · 13/12/2018 08:04

Hi pukka.

Wolf that is SO not on, I'd be livid too. What can you practically do?

Whoop whoop - only working next Wednesday until after Christmas!! Taking some leave but we shut down too. I'm sat in bed with a cuppa but will be walking the dogs in 15 minutes.

£20 yesterday on a fruit and veg delivery from the local market.

Tea was the soup from the IP, there's enough for lunch too.

Having a Christmas review later, to check what we have and need.

LonelyOversharer · 13/12/2018 08:04

It's so he can keep in touch with you over something other than ds. Like a toddler behaving badly for attention.

Justanothermile · 13/12/2018 08:08

Cross post wolf, sorry.

Wolfcub · 13/12/2018 08:10

I have asked if he is having money problems, traditionally he is terrible with money, but he says not.

Wolfcub · 13/12/2018 08:10

Lonely you may be right.

Bornlazy · 13/12/2018 08:22

God wolf that’s an extra stress for you! Hope that’s the last mistake he makes - if it isn’t you know ( with the sticker on) it’s deliberate.

I have a Pressure King and love it, obviously don’t have IP to compare it to but it seems similar and cheaper 🙂

Spent hours wrapping Christmas presents last night. Every year I say never again and then nothing changes 🙄 Need to be organised as I’m working Christmas this year and ideally would like to have the weekend before it to relax and do something nice.

Lovemaltesers · 13/12/2018 08:57

I have 20% off codes for M&S for clothing, beauty and home if anyone needs one. Valid until 20th December.

Lovemaltesers · 13/12/2018 08:58

Oh rubbish. They are in store only Angry Happy to post to a regular on here

Wolfcub · 13/12/2018 08:58

Gah he’s just told me he’s drawn £100 out and doesn’t know from which account. I am feeling stabby!

QforCucumber · 13/12/2018 10:04

oh god that's a nightmare wolf could you contact the bank and cancel his card as 'lost' then at least he has no access to it?

Was going to have a NSD today until dressing DS this morning and overnight his 2-3 joggers are ALL too short, he's not even 3 until March. Trip to Asda at lunchtime for some 3-4 ones required but plenty of fuel and brought soup to work so shouldn't be too spendy.
