Jam you are my role model for getting enough light. Grin You must be practically solar powered from all the time you spend outside.

I agree on the politicians too. It's like the end of the Thatcherite government, for just so many politicians having gone bats.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 21/12/2018 13:11

Just sat down after a productive morning! My two pots are done and I'm really pleased with them, will try such post a pic if I can. Have wrapped a load of presents and have only got dds stocking gifts left to do (I think) plus had a general tidy and sort out.

Dd will be home about 1.45 I think and then we will watch a film this arvo, need to straighten my hair as it's works drinks tonight!

Spent £9 on plants for the pots.

Cagliostro · 21/12/2018 13:35

Solar powered jam :o

I like wrapping, but I’ve been so disorganised this year that I’ve not had time to spend ages wrapping fancily. I made some effort on this one though as I’m super excited about it. It’s a lovely colour illustrated Hobbit, the tag says to DH and Caglets (not literally 😂) it’s time to share this adventure together. DH is Tolkien mad and I think they’re ready to enjoy him reading it to them :)

Also the Luggy arrived yay!

Wolfcub · 21/12/2018 13:40

Sneaky it’s likely to be back on schedule so two weeks after Boxing Day.

We are watching the Hogfather (again) although it’s fhe first year ds has actually seemed into it

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 21/12/2018 13:42

Thankyou Wolf

Will spend £24 on boxing day for roses for a friend who's birthday is the 30th.

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 21/12/2018 14:18

Regretting this already

I have lozenges! And orange juice for vitamin C. Spent £6.

may have gotten chocolate milk too

AutumnLeaves12 · 21/12/2018 15:33

My desk looks super fancy in the hall, and I am a bit aghast at the patch of awful looking damp left behind from where it used to be. I need to find a plasterer to fix that.

I now have a nice big place to store my year's supply of tinned food for Brexit though. Grin

Unescorted · 21/12/2018 17:10

sneaky that Morrisons always has really bad traffic problems. The roundabout with the quarry lorries and through traffic makes it hard and then throw in the older than average drivers and it turns to chaos.

Wolf you have the energy of an army.

Lonely 29p Turkey. Even I would eat it at that price.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/12/2018 17:15

£3 on drinks, going to brave Aldi in a bit. The frugaleer in me days go. The tired person in me is like just get Sainsbury's to deliver it.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 21/12/2018 17:28

£24 on roses seems a lot sneaky you could probably buy her a rose plant in a pot for less than that and it will last a lot longer than cut flowers.

I'm fed up as works drinks has been cancelled as everyone ill or can't make it 😕 this week has been rubbish as was meant to be out wed and thus evening but had to cancel as Dd was ill and now when I can go out no one else can!! Had straightened my hair and everything 👱

Realised I'd been paid today which I hadn't expected! It's a bloody long wait till the next payday now 😨

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 21/12/2018 17:33

True Girlie but she lives the other end of the country!

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/12/2018 17:47

Curls Hopefully you will get to keep both refund and gift.

Excellent turkey bargain Lonely. I’ve only ever had supermarket turkey Blush

£5 nectar points on tights. Got a £2.25 off voucher for next time.
£10 petrol
29p x 2 on cauliflower but will be free on green jinn.

30p lavazza ora beans, 2 cards, tissue paper. Had a £10 voucher.

AutumnLeaves12 · 21/12/2018 17:52

I want to buy myself roses now too. :-)

This is my favourite rose shop: www.davidaustinroses.co.uk/

They sell bushes though, rather than cut flowers.

Lovemaltesers · 21/12/2018 18:01

No more school for anyone here for two whole week 🎄 Tomorrow I plan to mooch around in pjs for as long as possible

NSD

Wolfcub · 21/12/2018 18:01

I have to say Unescorted that I have run out of puff. I will be up at 5.30 tomorrow to take dm to do her Xmas shopping though so hoping for a sound sleep tonight. I may have a little nap whilst I’m having my lashes dyed too.

Sneaky I use Waitrose florist. Sometimes there is a discount code but I’ve always had good service and the do plants too. Roses are very expensive. Unless there is a special reason for roses you may get more for your more for your money with different flowers

Justanothermile · 21/12/2018 18:26

Oh bummer for the cancellation girlie, crap when you fancy going out.

Definitely an area that you might consider for the future sneaky, I bet your friend will know your financial situation and understand?

Good luck for Aldi life.

Blimey wolf, early start - hope you get a good night.

I do spend a lot of time outside, with having dogs and running 6 days a week. Both order my mind, and I sleep the sleep of the dead as I'm incredibly tired at the end of the day, which I consider a positive. Probably actually being outside does too.

£35 in the Next VIP sale. One pair of shorts for DS. Two cushions. I've been waiting for something to compliment a dusky pink fluffy thing that I bought a while ago, but wanted to wait until the sale arrived. For the bed. White bedding, dusky pink throw, cushions in dusky pink and silver now.

Used to spend hundreds in the Next sale but we really don't need anything. Technically don't need the cushions I guess.

Home made stir fry for tea.

AutumnLeaves12 · 21/12/2018 18:40

It sounds lovely Jam, spending so much time out. I wish I could do that too.

My GP is helping me to work out how to get the oomph to do it, which is great. Moving from a room with one window to a room with five seems like a good start. Cag's graph idea has been great.

Cagliostro · 21/12/2018 18:42

I really need to take my own advice and do the same thing autumn 😳😂

Another DefinitelyNotNSD. Met friend in town to do last stocking fillers etc. She gave me her DS’ old coat though so that’s good as the last one has a big rip in the arm. That was also a hand me down :o

AutumnLeaves12 · 21/12/2018 18:54

LOL! Cag so often the way with me too. The graph has really helped though. Thanks for that. Flowers

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/12/2018 18:55

60p David starkey kindle book.

Really good film on iPlayer, The Big Short. Worth watching.

Justanothermile · 21/12/2018 18:59

Don't often say this, because it feels selfish somehow, but living with someone who has MH issues can be hard. It's wearing being the one who doesn't struggle - the constant. So much evolves round the one who does have struggles and that's fine and as it should be. But to be the 'reliable/constant' person, I need to remain MY person. And for me, that's running. Cos folk always ask how the person who struggles is, but the other one becomes invisible a bit.

So, outside I go 😁

Justanothermile · 21/12/2018 19:01

The Big Short is an incredible film. I've watched it three times and would happily do so again. Made me understand the crash better.

AutumnLeaves12 · 21/12/2018 19:13

That makes a lot of sense jam. You do a very important job looking after yourself.
