Morning all happy frugal Friday.

Sneaky it should be paid on Christmas Eve but I say should with a certain degree of cynicism.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/12/2018 06:41

Ah cutie pie angel. Boring is good em..
Ouch on ear pain. Poor dd
Sounds lovely jam

Hey all else

LonelyOversharer · 21/12/2018 06:57

Oh em thats one cute boy! Thats a pic to keep for when he's a big grumpy teen, to remind you! How did she workout the 7wks? It seems very accurate for a tummy palpate? If you aren't feeling sick, just enjoy, don't worry (it might show up later on). After 4 pregnancies, they really are all different.

I have been up for a while. Now the day is here, I am excited but calm. My panic has abated. I got a lot of wrapping done last night, did some finishing off, thats the uk orders done. I have one for oz, and 2 for the US, which are never going to get there before the 25th (they were only ordered a day or 2 ago) so I'm not going to rush them.

So. School run, posting, Morrissons and then packing the cars. Dogs and school pick up. I figure this will be all I can fit into the next 8 hours. I'm going to ask dp to sort the kitchen while I'm shopping, so we don't get home to dirty dishes.

Last day of term! Hooray!

Lovely photo Em. Grin

dh wants to move my desk to a brighter room today instead of the cave room I am working in.

The hallway is the only room with light in it and I'm trying to work out how to do it without turning our beautiful hallway (Currently 100 year old piano , hard wood furniture and encyclopedias), into a mass of computer equipment and wires. Tricky.

I'd like to be in the light though. That would be nice.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 21/12/2018 07:58

Dd slept from 4.30 to 7pm last night and then from 9pm to 7.30am!! Think she needed it bless her and is much more perky this morning, she's desperate to go to school so as it's for the morning only am letting her go.

Am making winter/spring flowers pots up for two friends so want to finish them today. I got the pots at the reuse shop and they've cleaned up lovely, will fill with spring bulbs and just need to buy some winter flowers. Am hoping I have enough compost left in the shed, total cost of each pot will be around £8.

What a little cherub em 😍 glad you have a scan date.

Thank you for that link autumn gives me a good start to researching :)

CurlsandCurves · 21/12/2018 08:21

em what a gorgeous little boy!
sneaky in theory I’d say you should get payment Christmas Eve, but... fingers crossed for you.

Chased up a pressie from M&S yesterday, it should have arrived on Weds. they checked, confirmed it was going to be delivered that day and refunded my delivery charge, yay! But there’s more. I ordered 2 of said item, but on Monday received an email saying it was sold out and I’d only be getting one, refund for the other one came through. Guess how many I received : 2! Maybe they had a return so they could send me 2, in which case I’ll be billed for it. But I’m just chuffed I got what I ordered.

Getting the youngest to school, then braving the supermarket, armed with a huge list and £80 of match and more vouchers to ease the pain when I’m told how much it all comes to!

AutumnLeaves12 · 21/12/2018 08:39

Glad that helped Cag.

Girlie That's a cracking good sleep. I love your planting present ideas too. That's a fantastic idea.

I'm still pondering how to move my computer into the hallway. Natural light would be very nice.

Wolfcub · 21/12/2018 08:57

Sausage rolls made and in the freezer that’s one job of my list. I need to blast through some cleaning before ds gets home from school at lunchtime. I am not a fan of half days at all.

Nails, brows and lashes being done later so probably £65 with a Christmas tip

Laska2Meryls · 21/12/2018 09:12

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/12/2018 10:54

60 presents wrapped. Aldi list written, Sainsbury's order tweaked, gym in a bit, work Christmas lunch, home , chill

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/12/2018 10:54

No payday for me until 28th

Wolfcub · 21/12/2018 11:11

Life I certainly hope payday is the 28th I’m slightly worried they will leave it to 31st

I have scrubbed all the pen pencil and god knows what of ds’s walls and finished cleaning the paintwork on the stairs before I get my nails done. On my second load of washing. Presents moved into an inconspicuous bag that I can move downstairs, I’ve never had to think about this before it was always h that played Santa. I’m halfway through cleaning the hamster and the living room. Bloody knackered.

Quite your afternoon out sounds lovely

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/12/2018 11:15

Bollocks forgot about 31 being a Monday. No I bet it's then.

AutumnLeaves12 · 21/12/2018 11:28

I'm all set up in the hall now, and broadcasting in glorious broad daylight. Woohoo!

LonelyOversharer · 21/12/2018 11:37

Shopping, done. I twitched and bought the turkey. It was 29p. I did use £40.50 cashback voucher. Asda extra special, it's 6.3kg. We prefer the supermarket birds, I think we must have very uncultured tastes. So, took back a duplicate minecraft toy (they all look the same to me), and bought a build-a-bug thing that ds casually mentioned he asked Sanra for!

Morrisons was £54. After £35 more coupons were taken off.

£2.60 on a new 100g ball of camel yarn. I am going to keep track of how many camels it makes. They are 29g finished and packed, so I'm guessing quite a few, as there are bells, beads, cotton buds and stuffing in them too.

I have packed the food and sharp knives, and will sort the clothes in a second.

AutumnLeaves12 · 21/12/2018 11:42

I just checked and I have swapped 30 lux for 330 lux. Good!

AutumnLeaves12 · 21/12/2018 12:08

Jeepers, it's like Piccadilly Circus here. Now dh is playing the piano right behind me and ds keeps running back and forth.

CurlsandCurves · 21/12/2018 12:11

Lonely 29p for a turkey, that’s ace!

Aldi and Morrison’s done. Got about £60 left in the food savings account so that’s a good head start on next years, about the same left in the presents account too.

So all that’s left to do is collect and pay for the beef on Christmas Eve and nip to our local co-op or Tesco for fresh bread rolls and some salad leaves.

Wolfcub · 21/12/2018 12:19

Love you have to wash your Dyson filters. It’s like I’ve got a new machine. Blush

Happierwithouthim · 21/12/2018 12:20

60 presents life yikes that's mammoth wrapping

Justanothermile · 21/12/2018 12:39

I would get serious rage with 60 presents, I HATE present wrapping - DH usually does it.

A 29p turkey is something that even fluffy would be proud of I am sure.

Just some gift vouchers to get this afternoon on my way home - about £75, three lots of £25 to cover the parents.

Great start for next year Curls.

Slow down wolf - you sound too much like me at the minute 😁

unescorted - they are offending every kind of voter known to man with their in-fighting, point scoring and power playing. I'm not sure I will ever vote again and I can't believe I'm even thinking that way.

Got my light allowance of whatever with an 8 mile run and now going out for a dog walk and a catch up with a couple of besties!
