fluffy that is a good idea. I think it might be nerves ... weirdly.
Thanks love it will be a miracle if I get it.

I don't understand how people don't crave Vege.

ememem84 · 19/07/2018 21:37

I sometimes crave veg. Usually if I’ve had too much to drink. Or when we’re on way back from a holiday.

Our fire doors are done. Yippee. Not we just need to pay for them. And then pass the certificates on to our lawyers. Yippee. Then we can move. Lawyer thinks mid August. Hooooray!

Unescorted · 19/07/2018 21:42

Em that is fantastic news.

QuiteCleanBandit · 19/07/2018 21:48

He is snippy with youbecause of his nerves about a job you are going for Confused or did I read that wrong.
I just tell DH he is being an arse and to pack it in.
Zero tolerance for that shit anymore .
Yay em fab news.

Laska5772 · 19/07/2018 21:55

unescorted that would be really fab if you do , I think my contact got one of those jobs for SW area..

But me?, Ive flexibly retired !! Have gone p/t .. Ive found over the last couple of years that a lot of my job seems now to be dealt by people who are now way above my pay grade no matter that there used to be a team which I was part of who managed quite successfully to do it its all about directorship kudos now!! .. Grin..

I'm 'just' 'information person' now - but I get to do the research (which I have l always liked anyway ) and just small projects bits..

Actually I'm quite happy with my role now , though I do have a laugh sometimes when 'they' come up with great new ideas /schemes as if they have never been thought of before ! or failed to take off several times for all sorts of -sometimes v good- reasons

Laska5772 · 19/07/2018 21:56

Great news Em is this still the same buyer waiting ?

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/07/2018 22:03

Theres an offer on O2 priority tm after 12pm. Up to 4 free alton towers, Thorpe park, lego land, sea life tickets.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 19/07/2018 22:08

Very little for dd in Penney's spent €66 and €24 of it is going back. She's 8, 9-10 leggings/jeggings don't fit Hmm bet if it wasn't h's money we were spending there would've been loads for her GrinAngry

€13.93 in Aldi - pjs for dd, sweets for dc, southern fried fish burgers for me, 10pks of vegan lentil crisps that au pair likes & rarely are there as they're a special, and 6pk of protein porridge for my holidays

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 19/07/2018 22:10

Very selfishly I quite like hearing about the dickish partners as it makes me feel better about my own spinster life 😂

EWFL was funny, yy to that women being v annoying but tbf they were a well suited couple! They must be their 40s if he has been working for 25 yrs? Nice house and they clearly had loads of money (no kids!!!!) so not sure why they went on the show
...

Pilates was good, the teacher had a look at me and tells me I have a twisted hip due to having a one leg shorter than the other or something!! Would explain why I get so much pain in my left side.

Good luck at the vets laska diabetes is becoming more and more common in cats unfortunately. There is one theory that it's linked to all the fire retardant chemicals that are on our sofas and carpets.

Fab friend cag I'm so excited for you.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 19/07/2018 22:10

So sorry for everyone who's h is being a Dick this evening, least you tackled him on it wreck I've bit my tongue on stuff like this countless times over the years. He still does top up shops after I asking what's needed in weekly shop. I'm actually excited about being able to budget properly alone!

News on that too, spoke to my bank and I'll be able to get mortgage on my own no problem Grin

Unescorted · 19/07/2018 22:23

Quiet...yes that is the sum of it.

Laska that is interesting.

Mammy that is fab news.

ChristmasSeacow · 19/07/2018 22:59

Gosh, you’ve all been chatty today!

Angry for annoying Hs.

I missed EWFL. I also tried to watch last week’s but it doesn’t seem to be on iPlayer - anyone else had trouble?

I actually feel really happy with how much I drink. It’s a lot less than in my 30s... we probably share a bottle of wine a week, on average, with maybe the occasional G&T on top. Then maybe a bit more if we go out or see friends but that’s not such a regular occurrence these days. I very rarely drink enough to get a hangover - maybe once or twice a year? - and not stinking ones either, even though i get a hangover much more easily these days. I also don’t mind not drinking (if designated driver or up early with Kids). So all good.

Mixed couple of days. I’ve been struggling with DS for the last couple of weeks because he’s been really agitated about the school year ending, imminent change of teacher etc., and his behaviour has been very testing at times. Last night he, DD and I were all in tears at one point! But then today, the last day of term, he’s been brilliant. Even coming happily along to the local park for an informal picnic with half the school - actually deviating from the ‘going home’ routine would have been unthinkable last year. So today has been a good day on that Front. And quite a frugal picnic - I bought berries but made a stuffed picnic bread with stuff I mostly already had in (pine nuts, sundried tomatoes, gruyere), Just bought two yellow peppers. And made apple oaty muffins with some elderly apples too. All of us are shattered tonight though! Off to sleep now... 😴

Not such a good day frugal wise as I checked the credit card balance Shock/

ChristmasSeacow · 19/07/2018 23:01

Love what’s the latest with your dad? I was thinking about you guys yesterday, for some reason!

WreckTangled · 20/07/2018 06:10

Mammy that's brilliant!

Dh is great really just little things that annoy me and we always argue more when we're struggling for money.

Got woken up by wreckcat fighting outside. He was winning

ememem84 · 20/07/2018 06:48

mammy great news

laksa yes same buyer!

wreck oh you must be so proud!! Haha!!

Catface jumped up on bed with us at 5. At 530 ds started crying. Dh got up are brought him in. He was asleep. But meh.

There were 4 in the bed and the littlest ones said shove over will you we haven’t got nearly enough room here.... dh and I are clinging on to the edges with the other two littlies lounging in the spacious middle...

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/07/2018 07:46

Good news on the mortgage Mammy. Got your pm, thanks.

Last day of school, thank fuck. I've told the kids they can go to bed whenever they want tonight as I'm sick of fighting with them. I'll be there at 9pm.

Good luck with the job and sorry dh is being an arse.
That's all dh and h too.

SnugglySnerd · 20/07/2018 08:05

EWFL!!! I don't get how people can just live off snacks like that. To be fair she looked good on it. Great skin and not overweight but how???

QuiteCleanBandit · 20/07/2018 08:17

No children !!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/07/2018 08:31

No kids is probably the key thing. Plus she flies long haul so that's rough on the body. I bet they champagne they subbed was veuve cliquot.

One of our relatives would live on biscuits too if her dh wasn't there to cook.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 20/07/2018 08:38

I lived on a diet not dissimilar when I was a student and was a stone lighter than I am now snuggly 😞 I think if you just eat rubbish but your overall calorie intake is low you'll still be thin.

It's interesting that buying crap is cheaper than eating healthy which is what I've thought for years, although I reckon I could have got that's couples weekly shop down from £72!

Day off today thank god, last day of term for dd 😮 can't believe that's year 7 done already!! We are both ready for the holidays, even though I still work most of it not having the school stress makes a massive difference.

Plan today is to go for a short run and then pop to work to try and finish my revalidation.

Dd has a party after school but her friends were being a bit off Ystd so she isn't very keen on going now.

mammy great news on the mortgage.

seacow well done to you and your ds on surviving the first year of school!

CurlsandCurves · 20/07/2018 08:57

Mammy great news on the mortgage, must feel great to know you can do this on your own (sings Destiny’s Child ‘Independent Women’)

Tired household today. DS1 got back from his trip at just after 10pm. Said they were up talking till 3am the night before. DS2 has gone to bed but said he couldn’t sleep and then I came back with DS1 which kept him awake.

Clubbercize this morning, then loads of laundry and housework before it gets mega hot again this weekend.

Laska5772 · 20/07/2018 09:24

Vet this morning -and the cat has just peed on our bed Hmm..
Not a great start to the day ..

Ive kept him in all night (hes an outdoor cat ) but he managed to go in the cat box overnight..

Flappyjack · 20/07/2018 09:33

Wreck that's a great meal plan. I really need to try harder.

DH has changed his phone plan this week and can gift me and DS credit. I'm on PAYG so it'll save me approx £15.00 a month.

£21 to last me until Tuesday. Sigh.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 20/07/2018 13:04

£44 petrol and lunch in tescos.

Lounging in the garden now 😊

SunnyLikeThursday · 20/07/2018 13:06

Fluffy I think I should be working in the motor trade. What with all the swearing and the crap diet I reckon I'd be a shoe-in. Also I do like fixing things.

I have just managed to spill sardine oil into my keyboard, so I am now going to have to take it apart and wash it. I may be gone for some time.

Wreck I think that was a euphorbia that you got in your mouth, so I'm really glad to hear that you are still with us. I always wondered what would happen if someone accidentally ate a bit of one of those.
