Ooo think you might be right sunny the bastard keeps appearing all over the place!

SunnyLikeThursday · 20/07/2018 13:23

We have meelions of them too. If you see something like this below, be very careful of it too. We have it in the garden, and it's very poisonous, likewise sweet peas, especially the perennial version.

There are a lot of garden plants that are fine to eat and people do eat funny thing like nasturtium, but it really pays to know which are okay and which are not.

When I was an undergraduate some new age folks went camping near us and tried to live off the land. They chose a friendly looking plant that resembled celery to have for their tea and it turned out to be hemlock. Ooops.

I'm glad that your tongue is okay.

My keyboard is now in the airing cupboard and I am on the laptop keyboard.

ememem84 · 20/07/2018 13:28

Turned out spendy. But not for me. So it doesntt count right???

£32 in cheese shop on a voucher for lunch (it’s also a cafe) and some naice cheese biscuits for ddad for his birthday.

£23 flowers for Dm as it’s their wedding anniversary today.

£5 paperchase In anniversary cards one for dparents. And one for dh as it’s our 7th anniversary on Monday.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/07/2018 13:44

£1.92 salad and fruit, mostly marked down.
£20 petrol.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/07/2018 13:49

Oh and £60 Waitrose for 3 weeks evening meals. Already have my lunches etc. I'll just need endless salad top up shops that evaporate in my fridge.

QuiteCleanBandit · 20/07/2018 15:32

Spendy here but 3 months Aldi,Lidl and Home Bargains .
Bit of a drive so only go a few times a year.
£86 Aldi included cycling tops,Bamboo socks reduced to £2.99 for 3 pairs and 4 x 10L cat litter (wood pellets) @99 p each.
DH said we already have some left.
I pointed out the cats will not stop sh*tting anytime soon Hmm
£46 Home Bargains -where to start !
It included A&H whitening toothpaste x4 @99p plus tons of other household stuff.
£26 Lidl including a sourdough boule and Doughnuts @32p I blame em plus ham and cheese and frozen stuff .
I love Lidl doughnuts-big,plain dough with jam and powdered sugar not horrible like those cheap caster sugar sticky ones -almost better than Krispy Kremes apple and cinnamon but not quite.
Thats everything for cupboards, freezer and household stuff for 3 months at least.
Just fruit veg and salad needed plus meat from farm shop .
Now I just need to put it away Hmm
Girlie germans call that "Schadenfreude"

QuiteCleanBandit · 20/07/2018 16:04

I forgot to say that Lidl had some lovely school uniform - cheap as chips.
Looked fine to me ,really sweet check summer dresses 😢 DD was once so small
Very nice socks and tights .

My DC are so tired and are being very grouchy. And we still have another three days of school to go next week.

I've had a very draining day of constant bickering amongst colleagues and it appears that even the 'friends' are now complaining about each other to the boss. Fortunately I now only have two days left to work! My boss tried to suggest I could work into August, I may have laughed at him Grin

I do hope DP comes home in a better mood! Or I may just go out and leave them all to it.

seacow not really anything happening with my dad. He seems ok at the moment. The GP has just said to go and see him if he feels unwell and no treatment is on offer. He'll have hospital appointments every 6 months. At the moment that seems to be it. I guess nothing happening at the moment is the best we can hope for and just hope it stays that way for as long as possible.

SunnyLikeThursday · 20/07/2018 16:20

That's good that he's okay at the moment then Love. We're flagging a bit here too, though actually doing a lot better than in previous years. I hope you all make it to the end of term in one piece.

Loveabaconsandwich · 20/07/2018 16:25

Great news on the mortgage mammy. One step closer to the end of the current, on with the new soon! How long until your mediation now?

I used to eat a really poor diet and was skinny. Now I eat normal food plus bad stuff and I am no longer so skinny

WreckTangled · 20/07/2018 16:50

Same RE used to eat crap. Although it's worse since I had dc plus I used to do lots of naughty stuff at the weekend and now I don't ShockBlushGrin

My dc are knackered too. It's been seven weeks of school non stop and another two days to go next week.

Wrongwayup · 20/07/2018 17:07

25 on riding today - not too spendy. only problem is last time I just went riding a few times I then bought one who is another lawnmower living with my retired eventers. I actually have a promotion and big payrise kicking in soon so my secret plan is to but another next year - one I can actually ride!

Unescorted · 20/07/2018 17:22

I wish next doors cat would stop shitting or its owner would get it some kitty litter. My garden would thank it profusely. In the meantime it is enjoying the rain.... A whole hour so far.

DH is in a better mood today and is away for most of next week.

ememem84 · 20/07/2018 17:29

Work over! Waiting for dh then to the pub to meet dparents and ds! Yay!!!

WreckTangled · 20/07/2018 17:46

Unescorted our local garden centre sells lion poo which is great at keeping cats away Grin

Unescorted · 20/07/2018 17:50

Ohhhhh! Garden centre it is then.

Em I lost internet connection for my work at home router. I had 10 minutes left to work. I didn't try very hard to reconnect.

QuiteCleanBandit · 20/07/2018 18:09

Angry at cat owners with no litter tray .
I dont want it in my garden and its my responsibilty.
My Dcats come in to poop 😇
My evening consists of a bath in my peony bath stuff plus knitting .

WreckTangled · 20/07/2018 18:14

We don't have a litter tray Blush

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 20/07/2018 18:34

We don't have a litter tray either but my cat likes to shit in my garden so don't feel too bad.

Dd just back from a party, she said it was rubbish as there was no food, no prizes for games and no party bag. Apparently a tiny cake and they got a slither each 😮 I'm not sure why you'd have a party if you can't afford (I'm assuming) food etc.

Have just done her a boiled egg and soldiers as she was starving and I hadn't planned on cooking tea!!

It's suddenly clouded over, really hoping for rain ☔

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 20/07/2018 18:36

Schools out for the summer now though so dd is happy about that! !

SunnyLikeThursday · 20/07/2018 18:41

Maybe the parents thought they were too grown up for that sort of party? I'm really delighted to hear that she is not. SmileSmileSmile

I wish we could have some rain too. My lawn has the most amazing cracks all over it. It looks as though there's been an earthquake.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 20/07/2018 18:48

We've sand in the yard and our cat has made it his litter tray Hmm

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 20/07/2018 18:50

I think they are a bit grown up for that sort of party but surely at any party food, cake and a party bag is a must?! I felt at dds party which was a trampoline park that I should have ordered more food but the kids all had some pizza, crisps and other bits plus cake and party bags. It's the first one in 12 years where she has come home hungry anyway!

Flappyjack · 20/07/2018 18:54

NSD. Waited until I am in my PJ's before posting just to be on the safe side.

SunnyLikeThursday · 20/07/2018 19:12

Your parties sound great Girlie. I would like to come to one now. Smile
