Snuggly I have named stickers for the dc. They're good because you can use them on clothes, water bottles, swimming bag etc etc

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 13/07/2018 08:49

I used one of those pen markers for putting names in clothes.

I've also got a day off today, so ready for it!! Meeting a friend for coffee and need to do some housework as have a friend staying over tonight, it's Paloma Faith night!! Am very excited! !

mammynowanauntyIRL · 13/07/2018 09:19

snuggly disturbed sleep with dc is a killer.

Ds was enquiring about name stickers for his books as his sister has them, I bought hers before she started school and they did 3 years as I swapped out plastic covers for books with sticker still attached to recycle them, need to order for both of them this summer.

Did a recce of copies etc this morning as Aldi have stuff in stock this weekend.

SnugglySnerd · 13/07/2018 10:50

I think I might go for stickers as sewing is definitely not my strong point!

Thanks for the reminder about Aldi. Is their school uniform any good does anyone know?

Wolfcub · 13/07/2018 11:18

Snuggly I gave name labels that are plastic buttons with laser etched names on. You screw them onto the clothes label and they don’t come off until you want them to and don’t fade

Where did you get those Wolf? They sound good.

SnugglySnerd · 13/07/2018 11:58

Those sound brilliant Wolf. Where are they from?

Just wondering why I thought it was a good idea to let the dts feed themselves hummus and pittas for lunch. The kitchen looks like an explosion in a hummus factory and they both need their hair washed! Off to clear up...

SunnyLikeThursday · 13/07/2018 12:12

OMG snuggly that would be hilarious if you didn't now have to clean it up.

I remember this phase with ds. I seemed to spend all my time every day cleaning blueberry puree off every surface in the kitchen. Somehow it always got into the cracks between the buttons on the washing machine and the actual front of the washing machine, in spite of the fact that ds was strapped in his high chair 5 feet away.

SnugglySnerd · 13/07/2018 12:35

Yes Sunny! Always in the washing machine buttons and somehow under the radiator. How???

SunnyLikeThursday · 13/07/2018 13:37

How strange that it's always the washing machine buttons for you too. It must be one of the undiscovered laws of physics. Good luck there.

Piano is moved! Also a family friend is here helping. Several bags dropped to charity shop, a few more boxes moved to the new house, and now they are doing a tip run. Yay!

The house is absolute chaos and I feel like I will never be clean again there is so much dust.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/07/2018 16:55

I hope you've told him your the best wife ever Quite

NSD and I rang Vodafone about our dog slow 76mb fibre broadband, turns out there is a fault on the line & we can can go on the app to apply for a discount while it's so slow.

Wolfcub · 13/07/2018 17:10

SunnyLikeThursday · 13/07/2018 17:28

That's great on the internet Fluffy.

Well done on the move Cag. It must be quite something to have all the furniture moved and all the dust popping out to say hello from behind.

My NSD yesterday totally failed as I needed a tesco shop in the end, but I'm working on having one today.

ememem84 · 13/07/2018 17:36

Weeks over. Yay!!!

Love the weekend.

ememem84 · 13/07/2018 17:37

CremeEggThief · 13/07/2018 18:20

Spends today: £28.96 (more or less a weekly shop, as DS is on a school trip Monday-Friday and I'm going out for dinner, for a friend's birthday, on Monday evening); £1.60 2 packets of hayfever tablets plus £4 on a Wetherspoon's veggie brekkie and coffee.😁

Great frugaleering there, Quite. Smile

QuiteCleanBandit · 13/07/2018 18:44

Thanks Creme

WreckTangled · 13/07/2018 18:50

Got the DC's school reports today. But disappointed with ds' as it seems like his teacher is pointing out what he can't do rather than what he can Angry I think he will do better with next years teacher though. Dds is perfect as always, exceeding in every area and words such as 'delightful, thoughtful, an absolute pleasure to teach, impeccable manners' included. Maybe I was expecting too much from ds after reading hers 🤣
