Oh dear em. Don't worry, witnessing one argument when he's otherwise in a stable and loving environment won't do ds any harm.

ememem84 · 03/06/2018 16:45

Oh gosh wolf not what you need - more stress

cag I’m still so excited for you re the house!

girlie did you impale your foof?

meadow hope you’re doing ok! And you’ve sorted things with your landlord.

sea I hope you’re doing ok too!!

Xx

ememem84 · 03/06/2018 16:46

The ridiculousness was in the screaming at each other. Like off of ‘stenders! But what was said certainly not. So if it’s cleared the air then that’s better.

SunnyLikeThursday · 03/06/2018 17:03

That sounds like a good thing Em.

We just went to visit my parents and had a nice time. I have a lot of boxes of my childhood stuff and am surrounded by them like in a fort. The hall is also full. Our house was already full. I may need to sleep in the garden.

Ds is playing with my green treehouse toy from the 80s. The one where the canopy of the tree pops up to show the rooms of a house inside, if anybody had one the same.

Wolfcub · 03/06/2018 17:16

Sunny I had that you. There is a photo of me with it when I was either two or three. I loved it.
Em glad you cleared the air. Don’t worry about ds he is too little and as others have said it’s a one off argument in an otherwise stable life

In a further twist to my increasingly sorry take (I’m beginning to feel like the ubiquitous mn drip feed troll) my parents have chosen a walk for tomorrow. It is the exact walk dh, ds and I did as a family the day before all this shit kicked off. I haven’t the heart to tell them especially as they wanted to talk me out for dinner instead but I said no as I have such an early start the next day so I will need to plaster my brave face and stone heart on.

Laska5772 · 03/06/2018 17:21

hmm but does she think to you have cleared the air Em? she sounds so unhinged she will probably try and turn it around to You being unreasonable
Did DH back you up?

Its been such a spendy month I dare'nt post my spends, but suffice to say with me paying Ds rent and utilities at the moment and ourholiday coming up in 3 weeks its not going to stop son... Sad ( glad I have savings!.)

Ive just realised that i dont have to go to work tomorrow.. I am (partly retired !! Grin.. will spend the day in the garden ( and no money!) I am not buying any more food except milk and veg now until we come back from holiday ,.... we need to use what we have in cupboards freezer

Girlie I've impaled myself in the past requiring two surgeries and a false pregnancy diagnosis Grin

Sunny that sounds wonderful about your childhood stuff, some of my stuff lives in corner of my bedroom, going to sort it out this summer FACT

I sorted our Tupperware press yesterday Grin

Out for a walk/run today first bit of running in six weeks. It was hard with jelly legs but not aerobically so I'm very pleased with that. I napped for over an hour in early afternoon first, pacing Grin

Today's a NSD

Oooh I’d love a cupboard like that!

Wolfcub · 03/06/2018 18:25

I need to buy ds some beach shoes/wet shoes and walking sandals. He needs an adult 6.5. The best I’ve found is about £12/£14 a pair. That’s regatta/sports direct: GO and amazon covered. Has anyone seen any cheaper or have any r commendations for particular good ones?

WreckTangled · 03/06/2018 18:40

Wolf have you looked at decathlon? Or mountain warehouse?

ChristmasSeacow · 03/06/2018 18:44

Wolf can’t you suggest an alternative? Just say that walk has recent memories - I’m sure they’d understand without you having to go into details. It would be such a shame for you not to enjoy it.

Hope it helps Em. I’m sure DS will be fine and it’s definitely better than unspoken tension, Ime. Is DH worried about it or does he think it might help in the long run?

Sunny I had that tree (if it’s the one with a lift in the trunk?) and loved it. I looked it up on eBay a few months back and in good condition they go for almost £100. I wanted to buy one for the dcs but not at that price Shock. I wonder what will be the equivalent toy for our children? I’d like to keep a select few things that they will most remember but definitely not all of it!

Girlie my money is also now on foof. Come on, put us out of our misery Grin

PILs did a sterling job. Garden certainly not all clear but it’s looking much better and I got to ask ‘is that a plant or a weed?’ to my heart’s content. I now can see the gaps properly so can at last plan what I need and put in my plant orders. I might hire some Garden help this week to keep the momentum up and to put some plants in. Tonight will be Waitrose Garden shopping, finally. If we had decent nurseries near us I’d go in person but we don’t have ones with lots of choice, sadly. I am a bit excited about this...

ChristmasSeacow · 03/06/2018 18:45

Wreck where’s the villa? And is it for this summer? Can’t hurt to ask.

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/06/2018 18:48

Wolf do you have a decathlon near you there stuff is reasonable but bear in mind they are French so sizing can be a bit random.
It may whatsit the walk demons from last time, sorry the word escapes me.

Good em, about time. Let's hope it's worked.

Well done mammy. I've been shit but think I've figured out what was up. I posted on the pod but might do the calorie group for feedback too.

Those tree houses are worth loads now. Keep it.

WreckTangled · 03/06/2018 18:49

Seacow it's for next summer BlushGrin I do like to plan ahead!

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/06/2018 18:50

X-post wreck
I would definitely try asking the owners. Shy bairns get nowt.

Sorry wolf I didn't understand what happened to h but no don't tell ds yet as he is unsettled enough.

SnugglySnerd · 03/06/2018 19:03

Oh dear Em. Clearing the air is good though.

The hot weather has lasted longer than expected. We only have 2 summer Gro bags for the dts so I had to buy 2 more so we can wash them! Got cheapo supermarket ones though.

Lovely day out with some friends with kids dd1's age. She's been running round all afternoon and ishe shattered.

SunnyLikeThursday · 03/06/2018 19:27

How funny to think that the tree house is worth money, of all things. It was a cracking good toy now. Ds likes it very much, and it looks brand new, which is amazing, given how much it was played with.

laComtessede · 03/06/2018 19:45

Where did you buy the gro bags @SnugglySnerd ? I also need to get
a summer one for DD. I have summer ones in 18-36 month size but she is only 8 months so I think it might be safest to buy a smaller one for her.

NSD, although DH is out with friends and may return with pizza.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 03/06/2018 20:00

Cag they're terrible cupboards things fall off and get stuck on carousel, my mothers got rid of hers.

Wolf I'd definitely suggest an alternate walk, your dparents will understand

Life I saw your post, you'd an occasion, and an ah fuck it moment, they happen! I like calorie club way better than pod

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 03/06/2018 20:08

😂 nope not the foof - thank god!!! It was my nose, don't ask!! Luckily it felt worse than it looks (is that lucky?!) My arm bloody kills from the jab though 😒

Well done em it sounds like you reached your limit and certain things have to be said.

christmas plant shopping is absolutely the best kind of shopping!! What kind of plants are you looking for?

Works not been too bad today which was nice, my nephew's bday party tonight which was also nice. It was a bbq which was obviously the perfect place for dd to announce she is now a vegetarian 😣 god only knows how that's going to work!!

Wrongwayup · 03/06/2018 20:10

Em and wolf all sounds c difficult. seacow much love. Think I have posted that I have had similar. Spending ok. Cheapest lunch ever yesterday. So also paid for today. Not so cheap. X

WreckTangled · 03/06/2018 20:12

Girlie Grin at your dd! I love the Linda McCartney sausages and you can get them in Lidl. Do you eat much meat? Dd might change her mind still I suppose!

SnugglySnerd · 03/06/2018 20:22

laComtessede they are Sainsbury's own brand ones. £15 each.

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/06/2018 20:41

Your nose?? How the hell??!! Grin

I've found calorie club better than pod recently.
