Sea I'm glad my dd isn't the only one who's done it! We were sitting with my parents and two sets of friends at the time and my dad got out a dog poo bag, my friend tied her hair up and my other friends dh went and bought water then we all carried on as normal Grin.

Meadow I would also get dh using the sling as often as he can, my dh loved doing that.

Home day today, it's going to be really sunny so will get all the washing done and pil's are coming over (fil is finally home from nz).

Oh also my new job is pretty fun and easy so I'm pleased I've done it.

Laska5772 · 03/06/2018 07:42

Im just place marking as fallen off the thread. back later today x

Ah wreck, she will have learned that lesson.
Hope your injury heals soon girlie.
Lovely tree
Pleased the job went well
Get some ice on your knee lonely, and ibuprofen.

We are off to the open air museum today. Picnic required as it will be busy.

WreckTangled · 03/06/2018 08:39

Our loo won't flush. The HA say it's not an emergency and we had to call back tomorrow Angry

Unescorted · 03/06/2018 08:56

cag HA void rates are measured in days. They get a black mark with the regulator if they build up too many void days so expect to be in quickly. When you move in I will send you the frugaleers seed collection started by lonely I have added wild flower mix.

Sea I am sending virtual hateful looks to the people who took your seat and UIL and his social club chum(p)s on your behalf.

The boys are done... They put in a monster day of over 100 miles taking 23 hours yesterday to finish just after 3 this morning. They are now driving back.

northender · 03/06/2018 08:58

Morning.
Ouch Girlie & lonely. The tree looks great though & kudos to you lonely I rollerskated as a teen but wouldn't have the guts or balance to rollerblade now. It looks like great exercise.
cag so many things to plan & sort out. It does sound like the overlap will help you out & agree with life lists will be your friend.
wolf when is your holiday? Glad you got it sorted
wreck before ds played senior cricket, he was a scorer (what dd does now). He went to a game where the teas are known to be the best around (think lots of home made cakes etc). He took advantage +++ and came back still green & feeling sick!! He didn't eat for 24 hours afterwards Grin so your dd is definitely not alone.
Seacow how lovely to know that your gran had enjoyed your visit & dd so much.

Thanks for your comments re ds. He did okay in a hard match where we were outclassed. It's all good experience & he enjoyed it but knows that with a couple of regulars back next week he'll be back in the second team. We enjoyed it & felt very proud of him. Now, back to the reality of revision! Adora are both your girls doing GCSEs?
We had a big cooked breakfast yesterday morning & then headed up with dd. We had a wander round the town the game was being played in. It was good, with a few quirky, independent shops. Dd enjoyed it and it just adds something to what is otherwise a long day for her, although she does get paid for it.
We spent around £20 on food & drink during the day, £20 on a top up shop & then came home & had home made pizzas with dough I had prepped in the morning. Yum!
Only other spend was £15 on an Alex Clark ladybird picture (canvas) for dnephew who loves ladybirds.

Today will be a mix of admin jobs, house sorting & gardening (after Friday night's deluge everything will be shooting up).

ChristmasSeacow · 03/06/2018 09:12

Ha ha, thanks Unescorted GrinGrinGrin

Cagliostro · 03/06/2018 09:38

So glad you are enjoying the new job wreck does the shop do wooden baby/toddler toys as well as older kids’? I am having trouble finding naice ones. #ultimatefirstworldproblem 🙄😂 I was going to order some online but I think I’ll wait until we move now and keep an eye out instead.

Presumably as long as we were paying rent and had the keys, they wouldn’t object to us not actually being IN the house straight away unescorted? We are hoping to move over very slowly indeed.

I am not sleeping well lately as it is (can’t drop off even after Cagletini does) but I’m now being kept awake by being convinced something’s going to go wrong and they’ll snatch this lovely house away from us after we’ve got all excited about it 😳

Out for lunch with a friend today.

WreckTangled · 03/06/2018 09:54

Cag it has all the nice wooden toys! Trying to think what mine liked when they were younger. Probably hand bells, maracas, the wooden pound a peg toy definitely, wooden rainbow blocks and the big Melissa & Doug stacking cubes. They also do stacking cubes with little cars that go into them too.

Unescorted · 03/06/2018 10:00

There might be a section in the tenancy preventing you from having 2 houses. It is to prevent sub letting and to ensure that the property is not left empty while other people are in need. I am sure if you explain that it is temporary while you move in they will be ok with it.

LonelyOversharer · 03/06/2018 10:05

Try to have a good day today cag and see about the house tomorrow. It sounds perfect, escpecially if the location will work for you so well. We will all think positively for you. It will happen.

I buckled late last night and ordered more seeds. The courgettes that got nipped off, cucamelons, and sprouting brocolli for a winter crop. £11. Compiling a small amazon order too, dd2 and ds have birthdays in the next fortnight.

It rained a lot in the night, so am expecting swamp conditions. My knee is much better than I thought it would be. Bruised but not swollen or too sore.

em hope you are ok? Having fun rather than mil problems or poorly ds.

Cagliostro · 03/06/2018 10:31

I really hope they will unescorted it’s not like it’s our choice that we have to give a full month’s notice to our landlords, surely we would be legal tenants until the contract officially ends. I guess we could move in early on in the overlap, which would mean we’d get the advantage of location/extra space sooner, and then gradually move more stuff in. There’s no way we could afford a huge removal van anyway so will have to do it slowly.

In any case if there’s no flooring they would know we have to wait until that’s done! It would be unsafe with a crawling/cruising baby. I dread to think how much it will cost to cover most of a 3 bed, but apparently there are means tested grants available for new tenants as it’s an unavoidable cost.

We need to write a list of questions I suppose. If anyone has any ideas I’d be grateful!

Wolfcub · 03/06/2018 10:34

Wreck glad the new job is going well. It’s always good when you can say work is fun
Cag as I continue to clear out baby things I will keep my eye out for any remaining nice wooden toys for you just in case - no point throwing them away
Lonely keep an eye on that knee. I had an incident with a baby gate 10 years ago. Thought all was fine and still have problems now (albeit I did compound incident one with incident 2)
Cag you’ve started taking vitamin d haven’t you? You might find your sleep settles with magnesium citrate before bed.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 03/06/2018 11:16

Hi all, beautiful sunny day here on Sunday of our bank holiday weekend.

I've got spends to catch up on here since last weekend, probably wait until I go back to work to post.

Did a workout with my new weights last night, legs are like jelly today Grin hoping to go for a long walk today. H told dc he'd take them on boogie boards at beach today but he went out last night & never came home Hmm he did text to let me know at 11pm though. He's never done this before but it's good to see him being sociable.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 03/06/2018 11:18

Sorry so many of you are injured at the moment, sending healing vibes Smile

Cag yes Bebe has amazing wooden toys and if you become part of their Facebook group yes Bebe babble you get a discount and they've got a deposit and saving scheme too

Cagliostro · 03/06/2018 11:34

Ooh thank you :) just joined that group. Site looks fab, I’m looking for a baby carrier (sling too small now) and they have some too.

Yes I’m on vitamin D although actually I’ve lapsed in the last week or two. I was better at taking that with the iron (ferroglobin capsules) when I was taking them with orange juice, but I stopped the juice as it always makes me crave more sugar (other than that I only have water at home)

ChristmasSeacow · 03/06/2018 11:43

Cag i am sure if you serve notice on your current home promptly the LA wouldn’t have an issue with an overlap during your notice period.

DS had lots of naice wooden toys which are now DDs. The ones that get a lot of love are often Melissa and Doug. I’ll link to some later, PILs are due any minute.

SunnyLikeThursday · 03/06/2018 11:46

We just took a bunch of ds's baby toys to a car boots sale with very low prices marked and sold nothing at all. I was bit surprised. I thought it would be easier than that.

It was things like the Vtech baby walker marked at a fiver, and no interest from anyone. One guy did ask if he could buy my tesco bag-for-life, which was a bit odd.

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/06/2018 13:07

People are so weird.

Cag If you need underlay eBay is much cheaper than the shops, oddly hard flooring is cheaper in Wickes et al.

NSD.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 03/06/2018 13:20

Car boots are very hit n miss sunny people want something for nothing these days!

Thanks all for the healing vibes, feel fine today other than a sore arm where I got my tetanus injection! ! Good guess christmas but unfortunately no where near as normal as impaling my foot 😉😂 how's your tree now? Did you find someone to look at it?

I always liked The Mulberry Bush for nice wooden toys, they are online I think.

My bird feeder is still doing well, have blue tits and a Robin now!!

Are there some seeds being swapped? If so can I join that club please 😁

Ystd spends were £4 parking at a&e (extortionate! !) and 60p on water.

SunnyLikeThursday · 03/06/2018 13:29

Glad to hear things are better there Girlie. On the plus side, at least A&E is free here. I gather it's 100 Euros per visit in Ireland. My Ils have very strange choices to make about whether to visit or not when something dire is wrong.

Wolfcub · 03/06/2018 15:13

Spendy day. 10.99 rash vest for ds. 38 on waterproof coat (must have for school trip) hat and small day sac (also for school trip as school bag too big)
38 two pairs of tracksuit bottoms (school trip his current ones have a massive hole in the arse), lunch and some cream buns
H is in hospital, ambo job this morning apparently. Likely to need an op depending what it is they find after tests. H had terrible medical history so an op is going to be a tense time no matter how straightforward. I have not told ds. He’s still spinning after contact yesterday he does not need this

WreckTangled · 03/06/2018 15:14

Oh no wolf, more stress you could really do without Sad

WreckTangled · 03/06/2018 15:51

The villa we were looking at has just doubled in price! I've emailed the owners to ask if I can have it at original price or if I should look elsewhere Grin

ememem84 · 03/06/2018 16:42

Interesting day.

I’ve had a ridiculous argument with mil. As in screaming and shouting at each other. But I think we’ve made progress on our relationship. Dh was there the whole time. As was ds sadly. But. Dh heard everything. I won’t go into detail but yeah. Air has been cleared.
