I owe Dh £15 for a picnic chair. God knows how we'll fit it in the car.

Laska Do it, life's too short.

lonely Ooh I tried cucumbers once, I got one very short one. I'm not green fingered.

Coppersulphate · 09/07/2017 21:55

Lonely, lots of cucumbers here too. 7 in fridge at the moment. I do this every year. I only need 1 cucumber plant but can never resist a second one. I planted a row of caulies and a row of swedes, or so I thought. They are all caulies. I have a glut of cauliflowers. I am giving them to the old ladies in the village.
Agree, go for it Alaska. Retiring is the best thing I ever did.

Wheelycote · 09/07/2017 21:59

Jumping back in...

Finally saved enough for a house deposit and bought a house....after chaos of move things settling down and need to watch money.

No spend day todaySmile
Food shopping tommorrow

Hope you all have s good sleep

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/07/2017 21:59

You could pickle them? Caulis aren't cheap.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 09/07/2017 22:18

Maybe batch make Cauliflower cheese and freeze?

Had a lovely day today, did the bubble run this morning which is a 5k run through lots of huge bubble stations - hard to describe it but you basically get completely covered in foam and bubbles which is all various colours. Its so much fun Grin dd and my nephew loved it as well!!

Popped into town and spent £8 in Wilkos, got lots for this - I love Wilkos!! Annoyingly though they had run out of the suncream I wanted so had to get that in Superdrug which was more expensive, however it was on buy on get one half price so swings and roundabouts I guess. Spent £9 in Superdrug.

Also did a Lidls shop, spent £44 which was slightly more than I was aiming for but have restocked the fridge.

Can't believe its Monday tomos Sad wends go too fast!!

LonelyOversharer · 09/07/2017 23:50

Have a mahoosive toothache. I want to cry. Think it's an abscess. Been coming on since friday, and is now almost unbearable! And I've had 4 babies. Can phone the dentust in 8hrs 11 mins.

100yearsdotcom · 10/07/2017 00:02

Ouch! Poor thing lonely, hope the pain settles and you get some sleep.

Been a busy day here, but no spends! Which is good. Should be NSD tomorrow too. Sweet dreams everyone.

Cagliostro · 10/07/2017 04:41

Welcome back wheely and well done on your deposit saving!

Oh no lonely hope you have managed some sleep.

DD did really well in her tap performance. I was quite nervous in the audience as DD's was one of the last numbers! She's not a naturally confident/stage presence kinda girl really. But she was great, not a foot out of line, super proud especially as she was chosen to lead her group despite being the newest pupil. Yay!

Bit of a meltdown last night though as it's all over. Bit of a performance high comedown I think! She is in with me as we knew it would wear her out socially being backstage for several hours barely knowing anyone. She did make some new friends but was pretty overwhelmed.

I now can't sleep because I had too much caffeine yesterday Blush

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/07/2017 06:22

Ouch lonely, hope you get seen soon.
Well done cag dd. Shows are so tiring. I was falling asleep at 7 on the sofa last night, went to bed, awake until 11.30. fgs

Nsd planned today. Forgot stuff on the food shop, have no menu plan but will see how it goes.

WreckTangled · 10/07/2017 06:49

Congratulations wheely!

Girlie that does sound like fun. I agree this weekend has gone way too fast.

Oh no lonely toothache is the worst I hope they can fit you in ASAP.

Work today but should be a nsd. Looking like another lovely day.

HollyTheHarrier · 10/07/2017 06:54

Congratulations to wheely and to Cag's DD 😊

Lonely I hope you get seen quickly, sounds awful

Wheelycote · 10/07/2017 07:02

Girlie the bubble run sounds great!!

Lovely hope your toothache has settled???

Loveabaconsandwich · 10/07/2017 07:11

Toothache is the worst lonely . Hope you manage to get it sorted today

I really want a hot drink and pastry. But have resisted Halo . Need to save the money and my waistline. Will have a Brew as soon as I get to work

Well done cag DD, waiting around at shows are the worst

Welcome back wheely and congratulations on the new house

Wheelycote · 10/07/2017 07:16

Cag that's great, you must've been v proud of her!

Menu planned and have done an online order. I've been popping to the shops daily and it's so expensive that way.

My 3 week shop has come to 177 pound...I'm sure I could've shaved more money off that but I've become a brand snob againShock

Anybody recommend cheap shampoo? I've tried tesco's own a good while ago but it was rubbish, I've just spent 4pound on a bottle of loreal and 4 pound on the conditionerBlush

ememem84 · 10/07/2017 07:22

Nice one wheely !

Well done to dd Cag

lonely not long until dentist opens! I hope you get seen today! Do you have any cloves? Smash a couple and add to boiling (but cooled slightly) salt water. Might help a bit. You're meant to use oil of cloves which is vile but if you don't have that....cloves will help at a pinch.

Catface has a new water fountain. She was wary at first but used it yesterday. It fleas a freebee from dsis.

ememem84 · 10/07/2017 07:22

*was. Was a freebee

ememem84 · 10/07/2017 07:53

Oh and wheely I'm using boots apple shampoo at present. Something like 75p a bottle. It's made my hair feel lovely and smells amazing!

SnugglySnerd · 10/07/2017 07:54

Hope that's better soon, Lonely.

Welcome back and we'll done, Wheely.

Wheelycote · 10/07/2017 08:01

Emmen 75p a bottle ! I'll be giving it a try thanks!

Thanks snugly

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/07/2017 08:16

Wheely Look at the big litre bottles on eBay, or tk maxx. My hairs crap if I use cheap shampoo but I'm older than em. Well done buying your own house.

Cag Well done your DD! I wouldn't like to do that.

Bacon Did you see my frozen bake at home pastry idea? It could be your Monday treat.

Lonely I hope they see you today.

I made £20 yesterday mb & I should get £20 nectar points tm for a 5 day induction hob survey.

Broke the picnic basket. Looking for a backpack one now.

Cagliostro · 10/07/2017 08:29

Morning all! Thanks for all the congrats. DD has woken up full of beans. Where do kids get their energy from?!

Leaving for Dorset in 90mins, I should get up :o

ememem84 · 10/07/2017 08:55

wheely it's something like that. They do a coconut one too. Which I haven't tried yet but it smells awesome. I'm sure I bought 500ml bottles too.

Was tempted to try them after they were one of the switches on shop well for less. So far so good.

Wheelycote · 10/07/2017 10:20

Emm haven't had coconut shampoo for an age. Def will have a look but will have a look for the big litre bottles too fluffy

What about dish wash tablets, any cheap ones recommended?

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/07/2017 11:00

Aldi dw tabs.

Wheelycote · 10/07/2017 11:20
