I haven't had anything from the tax credit people yet, have you all had the renewal forms? Am hoping they have over estimated my earnings as my money has cone down about £70 a month for no apparent reason.

Back to work and school today for dd, NSD so far but will pay for football later which is £26.

Its not been raining here but has been blowing a gale!! A few of my plants are struggling a bit so going to go out and try and prop them up a bit!!

LonelyOversharer · 06/06/2017 18:37

girlie have found my form, it's dated 18 April. I'd give them a call and just renew them anyway. It gives me the sweats thinking of missing the deadline (31 july), until I can get some decently paying work, we're up shit creek without them.

AuditAngel · 06/06/2017 18:48

Laska it is a Toggi waxed one in Navy. Will post a pic when I get home as not sure on the size.

DH has had his surgery and a lot of medication. He elks me he has a high pain threshold.... Hah, can't imagine he would have had another child after a CS!

£11 on my lunch, stopped into the Toby carvery on the way home from the hospital to Collect Gianni's crutches and knee brace that they didn't tell us to bring with us.

Laska5772 · 06/06/2017 18:49

Oh and Tiny Knitted cats!! (and dogs and wabbits too) I know what my Mum is getting for her birthday.... Want some,, will have to order after my hols though as its Super Spendsville here right now as I am getting stuff in for hols and for here ..

£87 in Pets at Home for loads of cat food (about 8 weeks worth) and 3 cans of Johnsons flea spray. I do the whole house before we go and again when we get back..(semi rural living and Dcat does like to bring in mice, with fleas and k just fleas..)

and £39.60 on another linen shirt from Boden

WreckTangled · 06/06/2017 18:55

Tayto I've been diabetic since I was twelve so although it is a massive, massive thing it's just how life is for me.

Girlie I only got mine today.

Cagliostro · 06/06/2017 18:55

I have no idea what is going on with our tax credits. DH did the renewal stuff but they still haven't contacted us with an update since we reported the PIP award.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/06/2017 19:11

£1.99 top up shop.

Your pigs look lovely lonely

Laska5772 · 06/06/2017 19:17

Cagliostro · 06/06/2017 20:15

I reckon if you have the space then bulk buying is a damn good idea! As long as catface can't break into them in a hungry moment :o (I still have memories of my old car breaking into a box of peppermint teabags... oh god the carnage!)

Cagliostro · 06/06/2017 20:15

Errrm that'd be my cat not my car. I don't think cars like mint

Cagliostro · 06/06/2017 20:16

Yes amazing piggies! I wish I could do stuff like that!

AdoraBell · 06/06/2017 21:05

£90 grocery delivery, a bottle Pimm's fell into the delivery, can't think how that happened Blush . Also, £24 in Boots.

mammymammyIRL · 06/06/2017 22:52

6 days into June & thread is almost full.
We were away camping at weekend & i had poor internet for a few days prior to that & was sick for the full week before that so feel like I'm completely out of touch with you guys, hopefully get to catch up tomo!

Spends today €5.25 on lasagne & chips from deli counter as had very little food in & got up too late to make my lunch. €187.34 in Aldi did get some meat in that but tiredness, hunger, two smallies in tow definitely contributed to it being high. Got once a day sun protection spray for €4.99 so am happy about that.

Nsd yesterday.
I got some birthday money so I'm going to order some dresses from next.

Loveabaconsandwich · 07/06/2017 06:35

Was it your birthday yesterday life? If so, happy birthday!

I've just realised I haven't had a subway or McDonald's for at least a month! My skin isn't showing any improvement though, I look well rough this morning. Healthier lunches do seem to cost more though. I fully accept I shouldn't buy lunch but it is my reward for commuting three hours a day.

Loveabaconsandwich · 07/06/2017 06:38

I've also worked out I should be due a tax refund for last years earnings as after pension contributions and salary sacrifice I will be under the threshold but online system says you have to wait for Hmrc to write to you and that could take until October. Will be nice when it arrives though!

WreckTangled · 07/06/2017 07:01

Today is busy. Lots of miles to do today at work. I'm going to count. Then need to go to tesco and get ds' hair cut then I'm going to get a wax. Spendy and busy.

ememem84 · 07/06/2017 08:13

Today is a spend day (although not as spendy as yesterday). Nails today so £39.

Last nights baby class was a bit strange. All about how to feed baby. If you had no clue and only went to that one class you'd have thought that breastfeeding is the only way. No focus on bottle feeding other than to say "well obviously we provide bottle feeds too" (at hospital).

Di was chatting to a lady who was very strongly in favour of breastfeeding. As in bottle feeding doesn't exist and looked at me like I was a thing with two heads and had said that baby boy is going to be fed a diet of Coke heroin and McDonald's from day 1 when I said I hadn't yet decided which way but would play it by ear and see.

Apparently not the correct response...

Anyhoo. Dh was disturbed by pictures of boobs. So many boobs. And boobs with pumps on them. I snapped a pic of that particular one from the helpful leaflet and will send it to him sporadically just to freak him out!!

As I said before my main priority is making sure baby boy gets fed. Either way to me it doesn't matter. As long as he gets what he needs. Which I think is sensible.

Bright pink maternity dress is having its first outing today. With nice blue jacket and wedges. Yippee!

SnugglySnerd · 07/06/2017 08:23

Em I found the same at antenatal classes. I think the attitude is that formula has instructions on the box which it does but it would still be nice to be able to ask an expert about it. I know why they promote breastfeeding but I think they should at least cover sterilising bottles and making up feeds safely.

We've had another dreadful night with one of the babies. What happened? A week ago they were both sleeping from about 8 to 5 with just one feed in between. Now it's like having a newborn again.

We are all tired and fed up. CBeebies is on already and I am holding a snoozy baby and trying to stay awake myself. It's going to be a long day...

Was hoping for an NSD but we're running low on nappies so I might away well done the supermarket shop tonight.

LonelyOversharer · 07/06/2017 09:16

Oh snuggly it is hard. Just take it easy and don't beat yourself up.

We're the other way round here em no one breastfeeds. When I had ds, they came through with a bottle, and I was, Confused I don't need that thanks! The midwife nearly fell over.

After dd1, when I was desperate for help, I braved a breast feeding group, where you assume most babies are being bf; and a girl said to me, "ugh, thats revolting, my tits are for my boyfriend" I sidled out, and went 25 miles to a naice town, where the bf group actually had some bf babies in it! Was 14 years ago now though, so attitudes might have changed not here

Dp has gone to the emergency doctor as his asthma is back. It's never straightforward with him, so I'm guessing today will be disrupted, at least the dc are in school. Need a top up shop, but will wait to see if we're going to hospital first. I appreciate that I sound a bit of a bitch there, I think I'm annoyed that we can't catch a break, ever, with his health; and it always falls to me to be the grown up.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/06/2017 09:17

It's not four month sleep regression is it?. They should go over bottle feeds, if you didn't sterilise properly you could really harm a baby.

I've worked out buying a laminator is cheaper than going to Rymans so I'll have a look in wilko today.

SunnyLikeThursday · 07/06/2017 09:43

Such a lot to say on the baby feeding question in so many directions. For me, bf was the volume knob and the off-switch for ds and I don't know how we would have coped without that, but I think different people work in different ways. I'd have been very glad also to have been able to hand him to another adult with a bottle so I could have had a bath at least once in the first year so it works both ways. Mix feeding sounds like a fantastic approach to me.

Cagliostro · 07/06/2017 09:44

Oooh laminators are lovely :o

I haven't used mine for ages but only because I STILL haven't got my printer set up 😳😳😳

thewaitresses · 07/06/2017 09:44

Although I think mix-feeding is great and 'fed is best' attitude is really healthy I also think that some true grit and determination and a bit of bloody-mindedness that breast-feeding WILL work is essential in the early weeks. Breast-feeding is difficult, painful and demanding on your body (particularly when delirious with mastitis for example!) and I think that when some women seem aghast at the thought of formula feeding (because expressing and bottle feeding is equally as demanding) it's because it's the only way they can stay sane and keep going even in the darkest of hours.

Snuggly I hope you get some rest today - surely CBeebies was the brainchild of some sleep deprived BBC executive?

SnugglySnerd · 07/06/2017 09:55

It must be, Waitresses Grin

Have finally achieved going to the loo and making a coffee so things are looking up!
